F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for the 360 slim, or ps3 to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

I just thought the game played and looked like borderlands...

Just an opion guys, I dont need an army of nerds attacking me for it or even asking me to defend it.
Pay them no mind. Everyone has a differint opinion on games and some people can't except that.

As for rage I'vs been thinking about buying this game but I don't know if ill like it. Are the visuals as good as id said they would be ? How's the ai like ?
I don't know where the RPG comparisons come from.
It was stated as being a shooter from the get go, they never said anything about it being a RPG.
Fair point. But the question was "Is it anything like Borderlands?" and I consider Borderlands to have an RPG-ish element to it.
People are paying $24-28 for Ico Collection from AWD, when they could get it for $20 plus tax after @Gamer coupon at BB($20 price reflects having to buy the mag for $5 if ya don't have a sub to it, $15 n tax otherwise) this week?
id rather pay the extra $6 dollars than drive to best buy hoping to find a copy in stock then waste my time waiting to checkout and sign up for a magazine. I checked out in 10 seconds on amazon for $27.99 ill have it at my front door hassle free

The graphics are fucking awesome, one of the best looking games I've played in a while. As for the AI, they did a great job with it. They way some enemies bounce off the walls or grab on to the ceiling and start swinging towards you is a trip. I'm having a blast with it, just go into playing it with the mindset that you're playing a FPS. Since that is what it is, fantastic game and I definitely recommend it.

If you don't mind some texture popping it doesn't really have that many other issues

Borderlands is set on a planet Pandora. Not a post-apocalyptic game at all
More RPG-ish than FPS with main emphasis on LOOT. Also open world with barriers
2p Split Screen; 4p drop-in/out co-op multiplayer
NO traditional DM/TDM MP

RAGE is set on Earth after an asteroid (Apophis) devastates the planet wiping out almost if not all the population. The survivors including the 'Ark' survivors roam the wastelands.
FPS with a little hint of Open-World with barriers and action RPG. Loot is minimal
Add to that a big vehicle combat component
2p co-op either split-screen or online
MP consist of vehicle racing/mayhem
NO traditional DM/TDM MP

Take each game for what they are, but do not compare the two as most of the people I see on youtube do
It shows how ignorant you are to the game
The ONLY similarities I found was that they are both objective heavy meaning for the most part of the game, you'll be sent here and there doing all sort of errand/missions/jobs for the NPCs kind of like Dead Island, and very few cutscenes as well
If anything, it feels more like a fallout game (you'll find a vault boy bobblehead as one of the collectibles) than Borderlands

I love both games. Bought them both within a week of release and thoroughly enjoyed playing both.
Cannot wait for RAGE 2 and Borderlands 2...yes they are in the works.

The mutants are the result of failed experiments by the AUTHORITY and not from radio-active exposure

This.
RAGE is set on Earth after an asteroid (Apophis) devastates the planet wiping out almost if not all the population.
The fact that it is set on Earth is irrelevant, since it is not recognizable in any way (unlike the Fallout games), so in my opinion the setting is very much like Borderlands.

The story goes like this: come to a new area, you need to prove yourself first by running errands, then you get the next mission to move unto the new area and repeat. Of course, there's a lot more to it than that... side missions, mini-games, battle racing, collecting and creating items. I had fun and may repurchase it if found cheap.

I actually found two Fallout bobblehead dolls.

Ive traded in not for resale games disc only, but has anyone ever traded in a game with with not for resale printed directly on the disc? Guitar hero van halen gets $5 before bonuses, not too bad. Would love to get rid of it if I can.

I agree. I don't think this game is a $60 purchase I think $30ish would be the deal price for me to buy. The game was solid as far as engine, physics and gameplay. But the story just felt so lacking.

In Fallout I at least felt like I was accomplishing something running around doing errands. With Rage it felt like I had a honey-do-list. Then like another poster said you get to a point where you feel like you get to feel accomplishment for doing all your errands, it's over.

Anyone else get extremely annoyed at when an enemy takes cover there is about a 1 second window where he becomes invulnerable? This annoyed me so much especially when I was hitting heads shots with the sniper rifle just to see their ugly tattooed face still there (and yes they weren't wearing helmets or I already shot the helmet off)

Ps the graphics ARE as good as everyone says. The best part, they're stable.

Couldn't agree more with that recommendation. Rage is awesome, wont be my game of the year but is definitely an absolute blast to play.

get during the TUR 2 for 1 sale, or if you can hold it black friday for $30-$45

I bet Rage will drop a lot when UC3, BF3, MW3 and Skyrim are coming out and a lot of people will trade Rage for these games.

This. I can see it at $40 easily in the next month.

Using the coupon and getting a magazine should be relatively hassle free, not unless the bestbuy ur going to is filled with incompetent and ignorant employees, plus it's great for people who want to use their bestbuy gift cards but i guess this is easier for me to do since bb is within walking distance
Rage = Borderslands...but with better graphics.
I haven't played Rage, but the first time I saw it in a magazine I said to myself "This looks like a 3D version of borderlands." The character design is very similar.

Yeah, as someone else said the problem is finding it. Though, I just looked right now and it appears to be back in stock at a few stores around me. It was not last night when I checked. So maybe people looking for it should check Best Buy today. Note that it is also available online for shipping for $24.99. God of War Collection seems a little harder to find (though it is also available online).
I don't think stock is much of an issue now like it was a week or two ago. Checking BB.com, my three local stores all have stock of ICO/SOTC.
Yeah - just yesterday it was OOS everywhere, but it seems to be back today.
Anybody have any opinions on Rage yet? Is it anything like Borderlands?

Rage = Borderslands...but with better graphics.
As others have said, kind of... I have played both of these recently and it definitely has the same feel and mission structure. But, yeah, no RPG elements and definitely a shorter game also. I'm in Subway Town now and I take it I am very near the end of the game already.
I don't know where the RPG comparisons come from.
It was stated as being a shooter from the get go, they never said anything about it being a RPG.
Only because it gets compared to Borderlands. I have to admit, I much prefer the super-light RPG elements in Borderlands to having none like in Rage. But Rage is still fun nonetheless, even though I am not an FPS guy. Besides this, I think the only FPS games I've ever played were Oblivion (yeah, I know, but it is first person perspective which I dislike in general so I lump it in with the FPS's), Halo Reach (just played coop with my son) and Borderlands. That is all ;). Edit: Oh, and the Metroid Prime games...

Rage is awesome, the graphics are the best ive seen for any 360 gsme. The only things thart should be mentioned is this game should be installed to your hard drive,I did this before I started playing the game and haven't noticed any pop up textures. Also make sure you save your game alot cause it doesn't have auto save. Oh and no I don't think it very similar to borderlands since some people seem to like comparing them.

Rage is fun but also REALLY boring when you are not shooting bandits or mutants. Most of the game is talk to some guy then go kill a bunch of people. There are some driving parts but they are not that great. I recommend renting it like I am as you can't beat it in a day and if you like it you can buy.
Yeah, as someone else said the problem is finding it.
I would assume it's pretty easy to check if it's in stock, the website should say if it's in stock and calling before hand would also help. There really is no point in taking such a long trip if you are not sure that they even have the game in the first place.

Uh, yeah, that's the point. When I said it is in stock at a few places now and wasn't yesterday I am checking online for stock - not running to multiple stores just to see if it is there ;).

Whenever someone tells me that Rage is like Borderlands I say "Yeah, but what was even more like Borderlands was Borderlands."

Well, if Rage is anything like Borderlands...I will buy it. But, I will be waiting on it anyways, my backlog is super long right now. I still need to play games that came out last year.
Thanks guys. I just bought Deadly Premonition, Bulletstorm, and Crackdown 2. The order came to $3.50 after using some gift cards. :D
I received Crackdown 2 earlier this week, and I just received DP and BS today. Crackdown 2 was brand new, minus the shrink wrap and including the unused prop code. They sent me BS Epic Edition, but game and manual only. Both DP and BS were resealed, even though they had this oversized warehouse barcode sticker underneath the shrink wrap. It's obvious the game isn't new, so why bother with resealing? Anyway, thanks again for helping me get some awesome games.

Edit: I just opened Deadly Premonition and found some quarter-inch long thick black hairs on both the refurbed game disc and underneath the cover art. :( I sincerely hope these aren't fucking pubic hairs. Nasty as fuck. I'm not joking, I'm going to complain to the seller.

Actually if the BB site says OOS for God Of War Origins Collection it may just be down to 1-2 copies remaining, as I stopped at a store earlier that wasn't showing as 'available now' or whatever and they had ONE copy left.

So you should definitely check in store even if the stock locator is saying not in stock.;)

Trust me. Hairs on the game and under the coverart are nothing compared to the indeterminate matter I've seen on/in cases and on game discs at Gamestop. You practically have to wear gloves to clean some of them.:puke:

HAHA. Then you will love this story. I was at a Gamestop where some kid was trading in some games. The kid is walking around the store as they add up his trade in total. Then, the GS employee says, we can't take this game. The kid walks back up to the counter and says why not. I look over expecting to see a XBOX game, but instead I see a copy of The Bigs for the 360. The GS employee opens the case and stuck to the top of the manual is a used condom! :hot::whistle2:# The kid looks down and takes the game back. Couldn't believe it. My friends and I still crack jokes to each other about it.

I just don't get how people can cheer when others get banned on here. There was a kinda annoying user who used to spam the penny guide thread asking if there were a drop and they got banned for simply posting their usual rigamarole about a guide drop.

They didn't flame other users, they didn't post anything offensive, they were just annoying with that repeating the same shit month in and month out. Was it frustrating? Yes. Was it worthy of a ban? No.

By that logic, more than 2/3's of CAG users should be insta-banned(especially all of the newbies who don't search for an answer n just ask questions 90x:razz:).
