F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for a 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot
I am! I've always wanted a (used) pair of XL boxers and t-shirt based on a video game -- also Catherine.
I know..right? Nothing like a used pair of boxers that don't need a stand as they stand on their own. ;)

Catherine was the second best puzzle game released last year.

The used boxers and t shirt are just gravy.
since you can just return it to amazon, what is all the teeth gnashing in this thread for? this happened to me with GoW and I just returned it on their dime.
Being able to return it and wishing that AWD actually adhered to their own condition guidelines aren't mutually exclusive.

Right. There should be no errors. 100% of the Time everything should be perfect. No human errors or anything. Its only reasonable of a company that has millions if items in stock to make sure that this one specific item is perfect.

Assuming reading it part of the warehouse requirement for hire, then kind of. And warehouse deals doesn't have millions of items, about 200k.

 @ people actually expecting DLC codes in USED copies of games:roll: and others bitching about people discussing deals on a MESSAGE board...

This site never ceases to amuse me.
So I can't currently can't find one on amazon for an example, but when a system (ps3 or 360) is listed on warehouse as like new, what does the description on the product state?
Depends on the item. They always warn you that the dlc (if included) may be redeemed.

Anything other than that has to be manually added by whoever processes it AFAIK.

Any missing pieces or damage (cosmetic or otherwise) will be noted, and if it's not CS is helpful.

FFS I actually agree with DudeImGodly. People make mistakes. As long as they allow you to return it with no problem (and with amazon, it's never a problem), there's no need to cry about it.

As for DLC. Just assume it won't be included. If you get it, then it's a bonus.

When i recently bought my PS3 like new, it stated that it was repackaged but there was another selection that had no description but the "like new" should indicate that i dont get some POS item, any cosmetic or any other issue would be in the description usually

For everyone bitching about what you received through Warehouse Deals, please note:

1) It is Warehouse Deals, if you want new, pay new cost and get new; and
2) It's Amazon. If you aren't satisfied with what you got, send that crap back, get your full refund and move on with life.

The reality is, if you want to play the cost/benefit game of Warehouse Deals, sometimes you are going to get much better than expectations, sometimes worse. Just be happy that when you come out the winner you can keep it at no additional cost. When you come out the loser, pack it up, send it back, ????, try again.

To say that people are whining when they order something and receive substantially different is asinine. And it doesn't need debated back and forth, sure send it back, but it is obnoxious, takes time, etc.

Exactly. I've bought numerous items from AWD before, including at least two PS3 systems. One came with NO controller, didn't wanna work right and was missing the games the bundle was supposed to come with. I returned that and got one of the Black Friday bundles that came with two games and a DLC voucher for Pixeljunk Shooter, which I fully expected to be redeemed. Surprisingly it was NOT and I got a nice bonus with my system from Amazon.

I've also ordered a buncha games from them at various times. They've always come complete and once or twice I even got a DLC pack that wasn't redeemed. But I've always considered getting unused DLC codes with games I've bought from AWD/GS/BB/TRU/etc as a nice bonus and not expected them to come with them.

Although with some games at Gamestop(Batman Arkham City, for example) you do get the codes for DLC with the used copies.
Somebody tell that asswhipe that he has a 1 TB PS3 not a 1000 gb!
1 TB is actually 1024 GB, so he's technically correct by not saying 1 TB.
I wouldn't have a big issue with it except for the fact that there is a thread for that type of stupidity  . http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=133829
Except that's for overpriced Craigslist stuff, whereas this 'stupidity' here is actually people discussing the games and system that others are posting as deals. If anything, most of the OT chatter IS good imo, since sometimes someone letting someone else know how a game is may sway them one way or the other on grabbing it.

I know that folks letting their opinions be known about various games has saved me THOUSANDS of dollars in the nearly 7 years I've been here. So I'm thankful for the off topic banter.

But they don't make 1000 GB drives?

nonono just post items and give me inane poorly put together one sentence summaries telling me what it is. I don't want personal input telling me if they feel like the games worth it. I much prefer spending the cash then find out.

Example:
(A)

Xbox 120GB Elite - Like New - $247.04
http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-list...E7U53NWQ&qid=1329280731&sr=1-2&condition=used

Elite Xbox must be good because elite best.

(B)

Alan Wake - Like New - $60
http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-list...7U53NWQ&qid=1329280964&sr=1-71&condition=used

Like New more expensive then brand new more expensive must be best.
1 TB is actually 1024 GB, so he's technically correct by not saying 1 TB.
Sigh. So your 160 GB PS3 is 163,840 MBs, right?
Sigh. So your 160 GB PS3 is 163,840 MBs, right?
Yes, why? 160 GB = 163840 MB. 1 TB = 1024 GB, not 1000. Perhaps your comment is going over my head?
1 TB is actually 1024 GB, so he's technically correct by not saying 1 TB.
The problem with your first statement is that they don't make 1000 GB drives so I don't think he can install one in his PS3. So he is not correct, technical or otherwise.
Went over mine as well. Could have sworn my PS3 was 163,840 MBs.
Is it not?
It is.

Edit: a lot of manufacturers just round down for the dumb public.
