F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for a 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot

Goddammit sorry about that. It was late lol

Amazon sent me the 32gb memory card order. The packaging was 32gb but the card was a 4gb.

When I opened it, I had a feeling something would be wrong. The 32gb packaging is beat up and the memory card is reversed so i couldn't see the number. I took pictures before i cut the tape & open it. Of course it's a 4gb

Ugh. It's sad that crooks out there resort to stealing the better product, or buying a collectors set just to use the codes, and mail them back as defective, thus setting of the chain of these getting sent to us as such.

AC3 Super Slim PS3 bundle just came without the game and poorly repackaged without any documentation. Back it goes.

Does the Warehouse quality control seem lacking to anyone else these days?

Ugh, hopefully mine comes in better shape than that. Im not in the mood to deal with returning stuff at the moment.

i get the street fighter set tomorrow
at least if it doesn't have the codes or they don't work amazon told me if any problems i can just return it for a full refund :)

Hope the other guy that bought at the same time as me actually gets a 32gb card.

Such a bummer, I backed up my 16gb, downloaded some ps1 games all ready to transfer to the 32gb and everything. =/

Yikes, seems a lot of bad dealings with AWD lately, including myself. Wonder if it's the seasonal personnel messing with things or just a lot of asshole customers.

I'm thinking its just increased holiday sales product flow.

I've been having the same problem with GoHastings lately, getting the wrong products alot.
I'm thinking its just increased holiday sales product flow.
It's more than likely this. An influx of eople that either got stuff either as a Christmas present, or stuff they bought at any of these insane sales over the holidays and they take what they want from it, repackage, and resell or trade in. Places like Amazon have a near-impossible job of checking everything thoroughly that comes in this time of the year.

You could look at all the "deal-finding" websites starting this past October, CAG included, and they were filled with people plotting and scheming to flip stuff from the holiday sales. Shifty people don't care about the others who buy the stuff they fraudulently return.

Best Buy sent me the wrong games too!

I got my Like New set today and it was sealed. The slipcover was a little worn but very happy to pick this up for less than $60 unopened.

My AC3 PS3 Bundle arrived today and it was in the original packaging. The box did have a small tear on it but everything else looked good. The game was still sealed up and the PS Plus code worked as well. Just got finished transferring my data from my launch 60gb, now off to download some games.

Well that's funny because I'm always in the mood to exchange stuff. I hate getting stuff in the expected condition... ;)

my 32gb vita card arrived...brand new unopened.

Now the Street Fighter; theres good news and bad news. The good news is the dlc codes are unused. The bad news is the box is pretty damaged and the artbook doesnt stay in the top part. The sides of the top are a bit crushed. Not sure what to do at this point...I mean everything is there; but I certainly wish the condition was better...it is a collectors edition after all...is it worth the return?

Did you order a Like New or Very Good condition set?
Like New...thats why its a bummer.
That sucks. As I mentioned, I got my set today and it was practically flawless asides from the slip being worn. I was hoping everyone who ordered would get a set just like mine. I obviously got lucky.

 lucky you. Mine is a 4gb. I curse the ass hole who scammed Amazon.

i bought a 16gb recently from awd and returned it. the person that sold it to amazon probably dipped it in water or sparked it, as when my vita couldnt read the inserted 16gb memory card.. the packaging for the 16gb was glued back together as well when it was shipped to me... was pretty lame

My Xbox 360 Black Ops 2 Care Package $115 (Good) came pretty much brand new. The steel case still had the Microsoft seal. Just a little squished on the drone controller box, but nothing broken in it.

wow opening those vita memory card and resealing them, thats some pretty good scam someone is running

but much of the AWD stuff are from Amazon own damaged products, or from people trade-ins, which would explain how they have stuff that was never ever sold or allowed to be sold by Amazon directly

pretty sure they damaged their own card and they brought a new , swap the old one for the new one and lied to Amazon that the card that was sent to them was defective

which makes me wonder why it is being sold again if it was returned as defective.
which makes me wonder why it is being sold again if it was returned as defective.
Because some people lie to get a refund? My friend's AC3 from that deal they had for $33 didn't work (disc 1 was loose and scratched up), so we had to return it. When I saw all the options, there were a lot of ways to abuse their return process. It's just part of the business of being a large retailer really. Should they inspect the returned items if listed as defective? Yes, but I'm sure a significant amount of their items are just returns that probably still function.
Whats the word on controllers through AWD? Anyone have bad luck?
Just recieved my controller, came in original packaging suprisingly, back of the box was a little beat up, controller was basically brand new, didn't have that default sticker that points up to the Xbox Guide button though nor the attachment you pull out of the battery pack(both of these are on new controllers), came with brand new Duracell batteries, instructions, and box

I got a "Very Good" grade controller, I would say it looked brand new, look like it was used for maybe a day or two and that's it.

got my used cop of angry birds trilogy for 3 ds yesterday.

case had done wear to it but cartridge and inserts were just fine. Nintendo club code was unused as well and that put me platinum for the year. Any more codes j get now I will put back for next years platinum status.

Just got my :ps3: Devil May Cry HD and I'm pretty pleased with it, even though it lacks the instruction booklet. (Do these even come with one?)

You act like it's uncommon for games to come without manuals these days. More and more new games are being released with digital manuals on the disc. Welcome to the future.

Well DMC hd DEFINITELY came with a manual, since I own a copy of it so I kinda know

And every game still comes with a manual in one form or another except for the vita, ( how many pages in the manual, now thats a different story )

Very satisfied with my "used - good" borderlands 2 vault hunters edition. everything was sealed and dlc was there too. damn, glad to whomever hinted us towards that.

wow tough choice on that $212 250gig ps3. its like 300 for a new 500 gig, but iv heard conflicting reports about the quality of that 500gig superslim. also the sliding tray is kinda eh. and lets say 33 tiv for ac3. so like $60 more for 250 more gig. tough choice. i think im just gonna bite on a new ac3 500gig. i hate buying new systems!

The AC3 bundle pops up for between $180-$220 as well. It doesn't stick around for quite as long though.
