F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for a 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot
what's forza 4 going for around these parts?
Fluctuates between $30 ~ $35. It should drop more with Forza Horizon releasing in October.
As a heads up, be careful with that because I got people saying that there were some glitches with the Dirt 3 Complete Edition, where they received the original Dirt 3 in a sealed Dirt 3 Complete copy. When you get the disk, there should be a gold ring on the outer edge. Also, when you try to play, the DLC cars should already be unlocked. If they ask you to buy the cars, you got the vanilla copy.
Well this is disappointing... received it today as the vanilla disc, Complete Edition cover art. First time I'll be returning a game to AWD because of their mix-up. Thanks again for the warning.

Quick question for those of you that have purchased special/limited editions from Amazon Warehouse Deals. I've ordered quite a bit from them and have been happy with what I got... I can personally attest to getting products that are like new and even factory sealed. Sure there's a sticker on it, but that's easily removed.

Anyway, has anyone purchased special/limited editions from AWD? If so, did you get all the components to the special edition where physical merchandise is concerned? I know DLC will be used, that's a given.

Also, so this post isn't completely wasteful...

SSX (Like New) $25.20

SSX (Like New) $25.20
I ordered an Acceptable-condition Record of Agarest War 2 LE last month and got all of the physical items in the still-unopened box. It was denoted as being Acceptable because of the slight dents in the packaging, but other than that, the thing was pristine.

I have ordered about 10 or so LEs, SEs, and CEs. 9 of them were complete, so 90% of the time Amazon nailed it. As for that 1 or 10% goes, Amazon issued me a full refund. So no complaints their. DLC, as you mentioned it, was a hit or a miss.

1)Infamous CE like new-came new and seald
2)killzone 3 CE like new- came Good
3) Assassin's creed brotherhood CE like new-came New and sealed
4)mass effect 3 CE like new-came barley acceptable
5)Dark souls LE very good ps3 edition- heavily water damaged not acceptable 360 edition
6)Street fighter x tekken SE very good- came with just the NOT FOR SALE game and nothing else

so AWD is a real hit or a miss they did refund my money every time I had a problem

My ME3 CEs were both missing items, but AZ gave me back credit for one of them and let me keep both since I could make a complete one out of them.

I've gotten a Like New MvC3 LE that came just as advertised, but the code was used.

The Very Good Deus Ex:HR AE I got was pretty much brand-spanking new with some fingerprints on the slipcover.

Those are my only CE experiences as far as I can remember, but I'd imagine Amazon CS would be able to rectify any bad experiences no problem.

There something I missed that caused Amazon Warehouse to think they'd sell a Like New copy of Super Mario 3D Land for $41.21 over a new copy at $39.39 (even more so once the Best Buy B2G1 free 3DS game deal goes live tonight/tomorrow)?

i think the sell price is what they buy it for + XXX fixxed amount so maybe they overpaid for it

I've bought 3 CE's from AWD:

Dark Souls LE "Very Good": (Came wthout DLC card, no slipcover). Tin box was slightly dented in a corner. Artbook was brand new.

Prototype 2 CE "Like New": No slipcover (Again, I have like bad luck with these.) Everything else was brand spanking new, game was still wrapped, all DLC codes including the CE codes were unused.

Mass Effect 3 CE: "Very Good": Small corner rip on the outer shell box, no DLC codes at all (not even the paper slips). Everything else was included, disc was pristine.

Mass Effect 3 CE "Like New": Everything included, DLC codes used though.

Overall I'm still happy, although I should've asked to return that Dark Souls LE since I paid $32 for it, never did though :/ oh well lesson learned for next time.

is a $187 like new vita worth picking up? Thinking of getting with the 32gig memory card on sale at the moment

if you're diligent, you can catch one for $160-something.

180.00. I got a ps vita (like new) 8gb memory cards and a case that hold system and games, iam so happy.
I just bought a $9.99 + $3.99 shipping Unit 13 (like new) from a just launch seller. Hope it's not a scam. haha
Haha, it was.
That's what A-to-Z is for. :applause:
yea that's what I figured. I did buy a $5 copy of Mortal Kombat PS3 Very good + $3 shipping from a 3rd party seller before and that came through. If not, Amazon will take care of me. I sure hope I don't get scam so many times that I'd get banned for asking a refund.

i know this is a stupid question, but how does a-z work exactly. i mean i never had to use it, but still would like to know
yeah, but use it too much and you'll get ban.
Not if it's a legit claim. If you use it to scam sellers, then yeah.
i know this is a stupid question, but how does a-z work exactly. i mean i never had to use it, but still would like to know
Never had to use it myself, but I'd guess it's kinda like ebay where you try to contact seller and if they don't answer, you file a claim, Amazon'd try to contact the seller and then refund your money if seller can't submit enough info or proof. At least that's what I got from reading the A-Z protection
Not if it's a legit claim. If you use it to scam sellers, then yeah.
The issue is that if you use too many of them for obvious bullshit sellers, when you really need it, you'll be out.

Buyers are limited to a lifetime maximum of fifty claims for purchases from sellers on the Amazon.com website. Withdrawn claims do not count towards this maximum. Buyers who pay for purchases from an Amazon seller via the Amazon.com website and buyers who use Amazon Payments for qualified purchases from a third-party website are eligible to receive up to $2,500 of the purchase price, including shipping charges.

yea, i never had to use it either. amazon's customer service is supreme. they just refunded me the total amount of $80 something dollar for a textbook trade in, they lost through shipping process. no questions asked. sorry it is off topic

If the item you ordered is not as described, you need to contact the seller to try to fix the problem. If the seller doesn't respond or attempt to help (in 72 hours, I think is the Amazon rule) you can file an A-to-Z claim and then the seller has the opportunity to state their side of the story, why they didn't respond/accept a return, etc or they can issue a refund and close the claim. Amazon will look at the information provided and make a decision, which on average is weighted in favor of the buyer, but not always.

It either is found in favor of the buyer or seller, or if the seller really isn't at fault, they will find in favor of the buyer, but pay for it themselves. The latter are the ones that will eventually get you in trouble, as it's basically saying "your claim doesn't add up, but we'll take care of you this time."

Interesting, but 50 is a LOT. I've never needed to file an A-Z, and the only few A-Z's I've had filed against me were from either a) impatient or b) ignorant customers. The impatient customer contacted me on Saturday night, and filed a claim Monday morning (literally as I was responding to his email), somehow bypassing the 72-hour contact window. The other few were people who refused to ship the item back and demanded a refund.

Yea 50 is a lot. I mean if I have to use so many of my 50 on "obvious bullshit seller" then I deserve to take the loss when my 50 is up.

yeah, I think I've used exactly 0.

Still, you know Amazon could change it at any time. My point is not to buy stuff that's obvious scams with the "well, I'm covered!" attitude a lot of cags seem to have about these things, especially ebay sellers.

"I know $20 for a new xbox console seems too good to be true but I'm protected!"

lol, i know right, so if i buy a brand name tv for $900 +, and filed the a-z claim. amazon will refund me, ROflmao. that is just crazy if it works that way

Goes back to the old saying "If it's too good to be true, then you're an idiot for falling for it." I think it was Buddha who said that...

Why would they refund you?

What are you talking about? You don't get to keep the tv. Plus, A-Z only applies to 3rd party.

I've seen too many horror stories to take a chance.
Amazon just bans without warnings, that's why I don't waste my time with prime or kindle anymore.

Yeah, the people who get banned from Amazon are always innocent, like the guys in Shawshank.
Yeah, the people who get banned from Amazon are always innocent, like the guys in Shawshank.
I'm not saying everyone is innocent, but I'm not going to go around accusing people of lying.

Tim Robins was innocent though.

Didn't it turn out that Andy Dufresne was actually really innocent though?

Ok, so maybe 1 guy out of 1,000. haha.
