F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for a 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot

So I bought a borderlands 2 deluxe vault hunter edition earlier for $69.99 it said "like new". What are the chances this could be still sealed with everything intact?

Do you remember if it said anything about the exterior packaging?

I've had the best luck with descriptions that said something like "large/small bend on the set case/packaging (something they have a length of the bend/crease specified). item is in excellent condition."

For me when it mainly talks about the exterior packaging, they tend to be items that were damaged in their warehouse. Sometimes they will have the last line about 'item is in excellent condition." My Skyrim CE, and my recent Guild Wars 2 CE had the excellent condition line and they were both sealed and looked brand new.

Very good with these...lots seem to have been damaged upon delivery.

This is all it said

"Fully playable game is included; downloadable content (DLC) or codes for online play may require additional purchase. Small wrinkle / bend on item case."

Sweet, thanks for the quick response. You too Barrit. Makes me feel a lot better about my purchase, I seriously can't wait to get this baby on my front door step

I would say it's a pretty good chance. I have seen quite a few of those Vault editions go up lately and most sound like the boxes were just damaged in their warehouse.

Can someone help or walk me through this deal. I get everything else but these deals. So you just have to search for the game and compare prices and condition? Any help is appreciated and thanks for looking :D
What does a hacked vita have to do with fake games?
Like with any system, you cant play "backed up" or bootleg games without some type of custom firmware running.

In this thread http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=327971 slidecage claims to have received a bootleg game, but once people start asking questions and want pictures, he stops responding. He also makes mention of the fact that he was able to play a little bit of this bootlegged game. Unless the Vita was running custom firmware, the game wouldn't have even been recognized if it weren't a legit copy.

The fact is, there are no bootlegs out there yet. If there were, they'd be for games that are selling a ton of copies, like Gravity Rush and Hot Shots, not MLB and Madden. Slidecage, if you sent the picture to Sony, they're not going to email you back and say "Oh yeah that game's fake!" No company would admit to their...as they claim...hack proof console being hacked with bootlegs out there.

So stop trying to scare people. The reason these Maddens are so cheap, is because...like others have said...they're probably from the bundle.

I was under the impression that a fake vita game was just a blank cartridge really. Looks like the real thing but once you pop it in it does nothing.

Your thought makes more sense to me than captaintek3304.

What does boot leg have anything to do with a fake game? Boot leg games would run 100% fine on the Vita, if there were such a thing as of right now. Publically, the Vita can only run Homebrew.

Actually, I'm pretty sure there's an exploit to run PSP ISOs as well through some PSP Mini exploit.

In response to the fake game argument, I'm up to date with the current status of piracy on the Vita (dude to visiting GFaqs regularly) and I can say it would be very difficult to create a fake Vita game cartridge as it would be to pirate a Vita game cartridge; the technology to read and manufacture these cartridges is as proprietary as the memory cards. It would be infinitely more likely (and profitable) for anyone wanting to profit from the Vita's existence to work on replicating memory cards rather than games, so quite frankly, encountering a fake game cartridge seems a bit out there.

So I think we've established that the "New / no pack" carts are probably from Vita Madden bundles. Can we move to deals? Like, this is how we talk about Vita here:

MK: $14.97
Disgaea 3: $29.25
Lumines: $22.47
Touch My Katamari: $14.99

I ordered a "brand new" Madden that was from the Madden bundle off of Ebay. It shipped in a plastic clam shell case.

These seem to be flooding the market now. I'm guessing because some people bought the bundles planning on selling their copies and quite frankly....the game isn't that good.

No, I posted a link to Gravity Rush that was in Acceptable condition. I posted it as Acceptable Gravity Rush. I think it was pretty obvious what I mean though.

thanks. I bought one of the "like new" 360 Max Payne 3 special editions for $29.97. Amazon already has it for $39.96, so it's only a matter of time before it's this price anyway (maybe black friday).

I'll have to return my sealed standard copy to Best Buy that I bought for $19.99+tax. I figured it will be worth the $9 upgrade for the Max Payne statue if the rockstar pass is still unused. It's a bit of a gamble.

yea it was obvious. What I meant was Richard was the one who tried to make the joke.

My 25th Anniversary acceptable Street Fighter set came in today, the outer box and the black storage box is smashed a bit on the top with a noticeable but not terrible indent on the top, this caused the certificate of authenticity to be bent on that spot, but the games, art book, cds, statue, and belt are all in great condition and it did come with all the DLC as it was sealed, overall definitely happy with it for about 80 bucks.
:ps3: RE 6 Anthology Very Good $62.97
Thanks for posting this; I'm taking a chance on the copy with "Small bend/wrinkle on box" since it doesn't mention DLC missing. I'll trade in my BBY copy when I can get close to $40, then hopefully when it drops in price I can PM that and essentially it's like I paid $40 for the Anthology when factoring in the $20 RZ certificate I got for preordering the vanilla edition.
It's kind of loud with or without a disk. It's lightweight, but the build quality kind of diminished.
I really like it, provides more space on my shelf and doesn't make my room hot. Plus with the 1 year warranty, I should be set until the PS4 or Xbox 720
That seems like a pretty lousy price with Black Friday coming up.
Better than 200 plus tax, but still a bit high for warehouse standards.
:ps3: RE 6 Anthology Very Good $62.97
Not sure but I don't think its safe to buy the RE6 Anthology copy used.
Someone could have probably just opened the game just to get RE 1-5 codes then just returned them or trading them in.

Amazon offers no guarantee on the dlc right? I dont know if its worth the risk to buy RE6 Anth used then.

Maybe the like new is a better option?

99.9% chance that is damage to the packaging due to shipping, and it is a brand new copy, so buy the cheapest option.

Is it safe to assume an item that says...

Like new, may come repackaged or Like new, packaging may be damaged, item in excellent condition would be new items that fell off the shelf?

^It is a crap shoot. You can always return or contact them with a problem. My 2 ME3 CEs were not complete eventhough they said very good or like new. Both of them were missing several items like the hardcover book, patch, both didn't have the DLC, one was missing the litho, etc.

My 2 loot chests AFAIK are both still factory sealed with damaged packaging. They both weigh out like they are full, but I haven't cracked them open yet.

Yes. chances are just a corner is stubbed or lightly smashed in, or the shrink wrap has a small tear on it.
