F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for a 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot
I've been thinking about that too, actually, as I debate whether to buy a particular title new minus $20, or used off AWD. Might be a stretch, but I think it's a relevant question.
This is my issue with Tomb Raider. #-o
Not the best deal but NHL 13 is for $40. Checked Amazon a week ago for this game and it was $60. I'd bite if it was $30.
$10 online pass makes it $50 used mostly has them used or missing.
This is more of a YMMV situation. Sometimes you'll get the extras sometimes you won't. They don't *have* to fit inside the case to be included but it's usually more likely you'll get them if they do.
Art book with Rayman was never in the case. It was a case sized hardcover art book. Actually, it's the same art book that came with the European Collector's Edition.
If you ordered the one saying "with art book" from Amazon and the listing didn't mention it wasn't included, I'd hit up Amazon support and complain. That's the whole reason they have two separate listings. Bitch until you get a refund or your art book.

It's a very nice art book, too.
I could see it for $20-25 on Black Friday. Depends on how long you're willing to wait!
I would hope a title from march will be sub $20 on BF no doubt!
You guys think Tomb Raider will go lower?
Definitely. I can see this game drop below $20 soon. But as a poster said above me, depends how long you're willing to wait.

TR has sold like gang busters and development costs has probably been recouped. Anyone who is buying at full price has probably already paid. Only way to get more buyers, since in the day 1 market is saturated, is to lower price. Since it is apretty good selling game, the price may lower sooner than you think.

Actually it did not sell very well, and Square Enix made a loss in the last year. The reason why it is going cheap is the opposite of what you stated: it did not do well, and they are desperately trying to break even. Games that sell well don't early discounts (see Skyrim or COD series).

That being said, TR is a strong GOTY contender, go get it if you want to play a great game right now. If you just want it for backlog: wait.

My thoughts on Skyrim and CoD market is that they are never saturated and thus keep their value. RPG market is small compared to all of the gaming market still everyone will try out skyrim and willing to expand the western RPG market. CoD market expand almost every year with every entry and never saturates unless people are tired of FPS.

You were implying that vendors sell their games cheaper after they recuperated the cost. That is plain wrong, they sell at the price point where they can make the most profit. For that reason, the better a game sells, the longer it will stay at full price. Skyrim was over a year in the Steam Top 10, by the way. That market is not a niche and Bethesda must have made a killing with it.
And sorry for off-topic! Now go buy Square Enix games, both Tomb Raider and Sleeping Dogs were fantastic. Not to mention Deus Ex 3. It would be a shame if SE stopped making games like that.

Nope sold 4 million copies still wasn't enough

Well, to be fair Tomb Raider did very well, just not by Square Enix's ridiculous expectations. Apparently SE wanted something like 5 or 6 million sold, instead Tomb Raider "only" sold through 3.6 million copies as of a month ago.

They'll probably hold out on the price for a bit longer, considering they were expecting so much. But knowing their markdowns for Hitman: Absolution (and comparable sales expectations), it'll probably hit $20 on BF.

I think I'll probably do that. Hopefully with the new consoles on the rise, the game will drop a lot.

I'm pretty sure TR is fine. You can't count Square Enix being down as a whole as TR being down. TR sold well. I mean, the numbers look good to me. Square Enix just has unrealistic expectations. It's the case of Darksiders 2 all over again where a publisher is expecting it to pull in CoD numbers to save the company for mistakes that they made.

Usually it was in the early early morning but I think it's been extremely random lately... even during the day. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Pretty sure the Dead Island Special Edition extra stuff is all DLC codes. Since they're probably already used, you're better off just getting a used copy of the regular or GOTY editions.

Received my LN Mass Effect 2 CE today. Box has scuffs on it, the CE case has noticable scratches on the front, the Collector Armor code was used, and there is no sign of the bonus DVD.

Overall, not impressed, especially for a LN copy (I know DLC is 50/50 but the scratches and box dents are a big turn-off)

You can contact support if you wanna keep it and tell them the condition and you should be able to get a partial refund

or return it
Why was that Soul Calibur IV stick so cheap? Is it bad compared to the arcade sticks on the market today? I always assumed that a good stick was like $100.
The algorithm cycle happened to be on the lower end for that particular item, nothing else other than that.

That stick doesn't have Sanwa/Seimitsu/etc parts, just Hori ones. Button/stick-wise, it's probably at similar level to the MadCatz SF4 SE stick.

The Hori SoulCalibur V stick, however, is full Sanwa, and that's $100+.

The Soul Calibur/Hori sticks are made from lower quality parts than the Madcatz sticks. It' the same reason why madcatz used to sell two different models of arcade sticks and one was cheaper than the other.

You mean

THEY'RE MALFESTED!

Hmm, was thinking about getting that PS3 entertainment bundle but it sold pretty quick. Does it ever go cheaper than $180?
