F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for a 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot

O...M...G! I dig those penguin flannel sheets!

Just kidding, but that all looks like intentional damage. You must explain!

They give that warning. If you keep returning items they ban you. I think if you return over 10% of items over a period of time you get flagged. Something like that.

Thanks. I have no choices but to return some items from amazon warehouse deal. For example, some are missing manuals and some collector editions are incomplete. I am very worried about now. Maybe I am too picky. I should have accepted all these minorly incomplete order.

I'd probably be at that limit too if I did all of my purchasing from AWD. I'm not sure what your situation is, but you might consider getting some groceries or other items from Amazon to add a buffer. I know that sounds stupid, but you can typically get prices better than or equal to B&M stores on Amazon.

Do you tend to contact CS when you have an issue? Or do you just return the item?

i actually return a pretty high % of items i buy from AWD. Like over 15%. The thing is, AWD is only a small part of my overall purchases from amazon.

I'd say contact Amazon customer service and just try to explain your situation how the items you're receiving from AWD aren't as advertised. Maybe they'll note that on your account in some fashion and take away the warning?

Tread with caution my friend. This isn't the first time this has happend. In previous threads I have read how people got banned without any warning what so ever for something similar. On the other hand, some got an e-mail similar to yours. Once you are banned, you are banned for life. They also ban accounts of any of your family members or significant others if they are linked with your account or use the same shipping address. Consider yourself lucky for at least getting a warning. Since your account is already flagged, my advice is to buy what you know you will keep. If in your gut you feel you may have to return something or if it is a purchase that carries risk (AWD's acceptable items) then don't take the plunge.

lol @ Amazon. I'm certain I would have a similar warning or even a ban if I returned half the orders I should have due to being poorly packackaged and damaged in shipping(majority or games new or used that ship in fragile boxes such as gba games or limited editions), non acceptable items coming incomplete, like new games coming in awful shape, and other issues clearly Amazons fault.

Ridiculous to blame customers for returning stuff that Amazon themselves screwed up on and obvioulsly should be returned.

Tread with caution my friend since your account has been flagged. In previous threads I have read how people were banned for something similar so it is not out of the realm of possibilities. Once banned, you are banned for life. I also read that if family or signifcant other had a linked account, they got banned too. If they used the same shipping address then all the people from that address got the ban hammer as well. My advice to you is buy something that you are going to keep and if the purchase carries a risk (AWD's acceptable items) then don't take the plunge so that you can avoid returns. Sadly even if you are in the right, if your returns to buy ratio is high, then you risk getting a ban for what they consider abuse.

Couple of finds:

:ps3: Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 14 (VG) $27.71
:ps3: MLB 2K13 (LN) $29.69

The Amazon ban thing is sketchy. I know someone that has a warning, contacted customer service, and they said ignore it, it's an error. Then a few months later, he received another, and again was told to ignore it. Finally, he received an outright ban, and ended up losing a few hundred dollars in promo credit he had accumulated.

The other accounts thing is iffy, too. This person started another account in another name and hasn't had any problems. Yet.

There's ways around it. The Amazon banhammer guys are dicks though. Try talking to them, it won't help.

They ban your cc and home address to or flag them i heard. why i avoid awd they sell false goods to much now.

This AWD e-mail thing is ridiculous, especially since about 2/3 of the thing that AWD sends me now are not even close to the description. Things listed Like New are Acceptable at best. I may have to give up AWD if this is the way it's going.

i was told by CS if they ban you by law they have to give your credit to you via check They can not keep your credit...

promo credit maybe but trade in credit (gift cards that you redeem in your account) i doubt they could just take that cash)

I got a free month of prime and went all out with AWD, brought total of 23 games and had four returns, but each time I chatted with CS to  complain the problems before resorting to returning, and two of the four returns I pushed for credit or price adjustment of repurchase for incomplete LN items from AWD. 10% return to get ban seems extreme, I'd hope more like 25%+ ?

if you are just returning (not getting a price adjustment) they aren't as worried about banning you. those that get the rampid price adjustments are the targets (they are costing more money)

I'm not sure I buy this since they've offered me price adjustments to keep me from returning stuff.

That's the idea though, people abuse it. "oh it's not like new, there's a little adhiesive from the sticker..." "we'll offer you 10 to keep it" - Oh boy! i can do this for everything!

Has anyone had issues with warnings from regular Amazon returns? Seems like I have to exchange every art book they send me due to shipping damage from poor packaging. I hope that doesn't raise any flags against my account.

So, I got my PS Move Motion Controller that was listed as "Acceptable condition". Its pretty much brand new, it just didn't come with any instruction manuals or official box. It was in a little brown box. It works and charges up just fine. It had a little residue on it and such so I wiped it down, its looking good now. Not bad for $23.

What do you guys think of my chances of getting a "gaming" headset "like new - packaging may be damaged" as opposed to "good - may be repackaged" or "very good - may be repackaged, missing manual" or just new? There's only a ~$3 difference between the awd options, and new is $20 more. I'm leaning towards the like new.

Got a good condition Grid 2 (PS3) for $32 and the case came in smashed/shattered and cover-art torn. It looked like it had never been open before, probably a customer return/dinger because of that issue.  Oh well, at least I mainly care about just playing the game :/.

Sounds like the Like New is just New/Damaged Stock. That's clearly the winner. I'd jump on it...

:ps3: Catherine - Like New - $13.11

:360: Injustice Collector's Edition - Acceptable - $47.71

Snagged a "complete in excellent condition" LN Rule of Rose for $73. Really hoping it's decent; seems to be rarer in higher grades.

Anyone that's been on the lookout for cheap AC3 copies, Amazon just dropped their new price to $20.  There's a LN :ps3: copy sitting there for a little less than $19, but hopefully we'll see some lower prices soonish if the $20 new price sticks around.
