F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for a 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot

Anyone that ordered one of those $20 elites and got a cruddy/broken controller keep an eye out if you go to TRU.  Today I found a starter kit with the official wireless controller, three months of live, an HDMI cable, and the media remote on blue tag clearance which made it $40.  Figure that even with sale prices the Live card is at least a $10 value ($25 retail), the 360 branded HDMI cables are solidly made so that's at least another $5 of value.  So I'm looking at it like getting a new controller for $25 since the other two items are stuff I can use.  Off topic but worth checking for if you head to TRU and need a controller for one of those consoles like I did.

My controller wasnt new but it wasnt worn I got an (A) the ridges on the top of the sticks don't look worn at all

My VG Infamous SS came today.  Mostly alright but a little disappointed that it's not in the original case.  They took the slip cover and put it on a standard dvd case.  Game is there as are the codes so I imagine the case just got destroyed in shipping, but still a little angry that this wasn't an (A) copy.

Ha, everyone one clicks right away, then reads the description.
... and just so everyone knows what the description is:

"Downloadable content (DLC) or codes for online play may require additional purchase. Item has been tested to be fully functional. Item will come repackaged. Small (less than ¼" x ¼") cosmetic imperfection on top of item. Small (less than ¼" x ¼") cosmetic imperfection on bottom of item. Missing manual. Missing remote control. Missing software cd."

You don't remember when Nintendo bought Konami and started making games for Sony?
Wow, that was way back in the NES days. Talk about throwback.
yes thanks you both for making me feel old lol made me think of metal gear and teenage mutant ninja turtles from the short lived ultra company branch of konomi. and didn't sony and Nintendo also attempt to work together to transform the snes into a cd type system? or wrong?

Hey, that is gaming nirvana right there. I still love hooking up the old crt to the console and playing TMNT, Contra, and Mario games so even though they are old, they are still a blast to play. Yes, Nintendo did work with Sony and thus was born the psx or ps1.

Yes and I bet they regret it every day since Sony was then ready to spin it into their own platform when Nintendo walked away and went to Philips. Pretty sure the thing was all but done when they decided to break it off with Sony and meanwhile the Philips one didn't even come out here.

Ok, someone keeps canceling and reordering and canceling this:

:360: Xbox 360 250GB Holiday Value Bundle (Amazon exclusive Bonus Value) (G) $138.10
This time it was me. I was going to keep it but inside I felt bleh about spending real money ontop of my credit for such a risk like that. So I'm just going to wait as much as I don't want too. Hopefully someone has to courage to see how it comes. I couldn't do it lol

Although I will say the console itself is worth every penny. Sigh I hope I didn't miss out on a gem :/

In a way it worked out best for gamers as more gaming companies = more competition = better products. Also the PS2 was a glorious system.

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix - $18.92
True but one thing they did right back then in a way was how they used to limit how many games a publisher could make in a year I think it was 4 or 5 max to make sure only quality games were made instead of ending up with hundreds of shovelware games that were trash from publishers trying to cash in on the game craze back then

It was a done deal and they unveiled the Super Famicom with CD drive at the CES but Nintendo broke off the deal a day later due to disagreement over financial split between the two. Sony went forth and took a huge risk that paid off immensely. Definitely a dark day for Nintendo but they managed without it.

Not that Nintendo's done bad but it was definitely a pivotal moment that changed the whole landscape.

indeed it did ... for the better. Their fallout lead to the glory that is the "Playstation" brand which is still in the now and still thriving from the psx days to the ps4 days to come, so I can't complain and Nintendo is as resilient as ever.

At first, Sony wanted nothing to do with gaming anymore after Nintendo walked out on them, but it was spite that made them change their minds and decide to go ahead with the Playstation.

Pretty interesting video on the history of the PSX, if you have 6 minutes to kill
