Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, new but with damaged packaging product aka "dinger" and trade ins in generally like new condition. They are considered 3rd party by affiliation and as such the "Amazon Warehouse Deals" distinction but are still part of Amazon.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?

You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken during restocks and or when pricing algorithm goes haywire. During those times, prices don't adjust and assimilate with the current inventory quickly enough to show the sorting as such

I'm waiting for a ps4, xb1, 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?

They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it, and or set alerts... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?

Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?

Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?

In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What is this "glitch deals" that I keep hearing about in this thread?

On August 7th, 2014, AWD glitched out similar to how it did around penny deals, except lot of stuff went for cheap instead for a penny. The pricing algorithm went haywire and in the process lot of stuff went for cheap across the AWD spectrum from games to iphones to tablets and everything else in between. The "glitch deal" lasted for maybe a couple of hours and fellow CAGs that were around during that time made out like a bandit. Below is the timeline leading up to the night and the deals that went down on that night.

What do you mean by a "dinger"?

Dinger = Item is new but the packaging is damaged in some way or form.

These are speculative guesses at best going by descritption of any given item and also taking into account the length of time an item has been out since its release. Shorter the span of time from release of a game or console, better the chance of scoring a new item with damaged packaging aka "dinger".

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?

Spoiler

First and foremost all games from AWD are considered used unless specified as new. Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and depending on condition they can be perfect / brand new, brand new with damaged packaging aka "dinger" to just a game in a generic case. AWD has 5 condition criteria for their listings and they are:

New: Just like it sounds. A brand-new, unused, unopened video game in perfect condition in its original packaging and with all original packaging materials included.

Like New: An apparently unopened video game in perfect condition (although it may be out of its original wrapping). The box and item are pristine, with no signs of wear. Suitable for presenting as a gift. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Very Good: A well-cared-for video game that has been played but remains in great condition. The game and its original packaging are complete and slightly worn, but unmarked and undamaged. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Good: The video game shows wear from consistent use, but remains in good condition. There may be clear external signs of wear and damage to the original packaging or instructions, but the game plays perfectly. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Acceptable: The video game is fairly worn, but it continues to work perfectly. The box and instructions may be missing or damaged. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Sellers are required to note whether the box or instructions are missing in the condition notes field for the item. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Any game I have personally ever bought in good or above condition has been in near mint condition. Acceptable ones have been a gamble. Getting DLC with games has also been a gamble and since AWD games are considered used, don't expect unused DLC even though there will be occassions where they may come unused. In regards to DLC, ymmv. Conditon wise, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases and inserts, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc. Consoles listed in "acceptable" conditon can be either new in damaged packaging and or a pure gamble in what conditon they will truly be in along with what is included in the box depending on the time frame from release of the console.

You could try cleaning the lens with one of those disc cleaners. It could be a dirty lens causing you problems.

The tape helped and the disc problem was solved. Hopefully that's all you would need to do.

Since it's a slow day I thought I'd ask this here.  Having a problem with a PS3 I got a few months ago, it was working fine outputting HDMI to my computer monitor, but this weekend I tried it and could hear the audio portion but no video(*edit* i use separate digital out stuff for audio).  My xbox 360 on the same HDMI cable works on the monitor still, and the ps3 outputs HDMI video when i use my TV instead.  Any thoughts?

I saw a video on YouTube that has to do with opening up the console and putting a piece of tape to cover some magnetized part that had become too magnetized over time. The tape helped and the disc problem was solved. Hopefully that's all you would need to do.

No problem thanks for the reply. I will have a look on youtube anyways, as I don't really have any other options except trying to repair it myself. Worst case I'll leave it at my girlfriends house and use it as a "download only games" system and just grab a new 360 for me.

Best ps4 game i played 2nd being tlou. SS was so short and hardly anything to do after 12 hour to plat without trying. Best 12 hours tho 2 playthroughs

Yep was a incredibly easy game even on the hardest difficulty it was super easy to platinum and took very little time.

And once that's done there's nothing at all to do really so it's no shock this game has been dropping so fast.

Second Son was a very solid game, just wish we had more like it to play on the PS4.  Probably the best game I've played on the system thus far (couldn't get into Wolfenstein or Watch Dogs and I already played TLOU and Tomb Raider on prev gen systems).

I have heard great things about D3: Reaper of Souls on PS4 so that's the next thing on the radar to try out. Of course Destiny is only a week away and I do hope that delivers. Managed to stay away from the beta to keep things fresh on release.

Still available...... I'm tempted but when I brought the game at launch I didn't like it, played it for a bit then flipped it. I sort of want that statue and steelbook tho. I don't really see the CE in stores so I doubt it will get very cheap down the road....

well it was $46 to $49 or a little less for same condition a week ago and then went up to $90 but now look like awd is taking it on a downward price slide again.

Same thing happened to Dark Souls II CE. Went down and then back up, went down again and now it is back up around $80.

In the past there have been dinger physical cards at good prices but like everything else they have been more than msrp as of late as dreamer mentioned. Personally, if there is no rush, I would wait for the holiday sales that are approaching fast. It is September already after all. Next thing you know it will be Halloween and then Thanksgiving and right into BFriday / Cyber Monday and the rest of the holiday shopping season in general. Can't wait!

Hell yeah! I'm super happy they announced it for PS4. I would've bought it on the PS3, of course, but the PS4 release just makes it all the better. I don't know if I can wait for a dinger copy though... I usually go through Best Buy, but I might order this one from amazon/pick it up from Gamestop so I can get it day one.

Thinking the same thing and may most likely go the BB route (store pick up) for day 1 purchase since I plan on playing it day 1. I will still be keeping an eye on AWD incase they have one on the cheap early on.

It's a fairly standard JRPG about teenagers with special powers that they use to protect the world. Well even though I say that, Persona 3 had one of the most amazing and compelling stories I've ever played. If you like JRPGs, you don't even need any questions. Buy the games and play them.
