Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, new but with damaged packaging product aka "dinger" and trade ins in generally like new condition. They are considered 3rd party by affiliation and as such the "Amazon Warehouse Deals" distinction but are still part of Amazon.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?

You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken during restocks and or when pricing algorithm goes haywire. During those times, prices don't adjust and assimilate with the current inventory quickly enough to show the sorting as such

I'm waiting for a ps4, xb1, 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?

They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it, and or set alerts... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?

Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?

Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?

In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What is this "glitch deals" that I keep hearing about in this thread?

On August 7th, 2014, AWD glitched out similar to how it did around penny deals, except lot of stuff went for cheap instead for a penny. The pricing algorithm went haywire and in the process lot of stuff went for cheap across the AWD spectrum from games to iphones to tablets and everything else in between. The "glitch deal" lasted for maybe a couple of hours and fellow CAGs that were around during that time made out like a bandit. Below is the timeline leading up to the night and the deals that went down on that night.

What do you mean by a "dinger"?

Dinger = Item is new but the packaging is damaged in some way or form.

These are speculative guesses at best going by descritption of any given item and also taking into account the length of time an item has been out since its release. Shorter the span of time from release of a game or console, better the chance of scoring a new item with damaged packaging aka "dinger".

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?

First and foremost all games from AWD are considered used unless specified as new. Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and depending on condition they can be perfect / brand new, brand new with damaged packaging aka "dinger" to just a game in a generic case. AWD has 5 condition criteria for their listings and they are:

New: Just like it sounds. A brand-new, unused, unopened video game in perfect condition in its original packaging and with all original packaging materials included.

Like New: An apparently unopened video game in perfect condition (although it may be out of its original wrapping). The box and item are pristine, with no signs of wear. Suitable for presenting as a gift. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Very Good: A well-cared-for video game that has been played but remains in great condition. The game and its original packaging are complete and slightly worn, but unmarked and undamaged. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Good: The video game shows wear from consistent use, but remains in good condition. There may be clear external signs of wear and damage to the original packaging or instructions, but the game plays perfectly. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Acceptable: The video game is fairly worn, but it continues to work perfectly. The box and instructions may be missing or damaged. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Sellers are required to note whether the box or instructions are missing in the condition notes field for the item. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Any game I have personally ever bought in good or above condition has been in near mint condition. Acceptable ones have been a gamble. Getting DLC with games has also been a gamble and since AWD games are considered used, don't expect unused DLC even though there will be occassions where they may come unused. In regards to DLC, ymmv. Conditon wise, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases and inserts, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc. Consoles listed in "acceptable" conditon can be either new in damaged packaging and or a pure gamble in what conditon they will truly be in along with what is included in the box depending on the time frame from release of the console.

Anyways after putting on some gloves and scraping and cleaning all the dirt off the things and giving them an alcohol bath. They're basically brand new, everything feels fine, of course I have to actually use them to see if the buttons work. Happy with them so far.

Already have had two offers from cag's saying they'd pay shipping and whatever I paid. I'm a student so money is a bit tight so I can't promise anything. It depends if the DLC codes work because if the codes work the collector's edition's value SHOOTS UP WAY MORE.

If that is the case I'll probably go the eBay route and just sell it there because I do need the cash. Not to sound greedy or anything, lol. But if I can't make much of a profit then yeah sure I'll hold one for you guys but you're third in line and I have exactly three to rid of.

Mine came with some food still on them. :shock: Seriously, the analog sticks on one of them had some residue that looked like someone was eating hot cheetos and playing the ps3 at the samn damn time. Lazy graders couldn't wipe them down first

the worst condition from an item was from a used game disc for xbox 360, that had pubes or it was nose hair on them. i couldn't believe my eyes when i saw it. LOL

one of mine, the sixaxis one had ALL the seams filled with brown junk, I cleaned it with purell and an old metal compass to make it look decent for trade in. I'm trading it to GS instead of going w/ the AMZ return since I decided to create another $5 coupon and just get more amz credit and don't have to deal w the hassle of boxing it up (it takes 1-2 months for returns to get to amz from the island) and the $5 will make up the difference and a little more extra, maybe they will give me the DS3 trade in value instead and will come out ahead who knows… At least the DS3 looks almost brand new and works great; I'm using it for my iPhone mirroring into my aTV as a MFI and emulator controller.

Have him complain to Amazon. He'll probably get a refund and be able to keep his copy. They're very good at support and it takes usually less than 10 minutes to resolve something through amazon chat.

Got my four Final Fantasy XIV Collector's Editions for PS4. One is missing the authenticator, One is missing the registration code, HOWEVER one of the games is completely shrink wrapped and brand new.

Three out of four had registration codes. The registration code in both of the opened copies WORK. I entered it into my PS4 and it said 'collector's edition' and was like 11gbish. Very cool.

Never had a problem with Amazon or AWD before, but got a dualshock 3 in the mail today listed as like new condition that is chipped and missing plastic and a joystick that spins.

Nice, must of lucked out. Out of four of my collector's editions only one had the game completely sealed and one was missing the authenticator and all mine were graded "Very Good". However the codes work, that's all I care about. lol

haha, that does sound dumb now that i read it back. The stick spins around 360 degrees while staying centered so if you were to actually use it to aim / steer your thumb falls off after like 2 seconds.

I'm tempted to buy one at GS with giftcards and powerup coupons (and it would be tax free unlike Amazon in my state). Something tells me I should wait and see if they announce an Uncharted 4 bundle. Am I crazy to think they will make one? Or is it pretty much inevitable?

i just sold my launch ps4, headset and controller for $500+ on ebay. the headset came free in a bundle, so I'm basically getting the same thing back for $150 less.

There might end up being a lot of ghost edition on AWD, if what happened with gamestops shipments is widespread.

So I hate to be the bearer of bad news for future Ghost edition owners, but it seems there has been a big issue with packaging design/shipping. Not sure about other companies but we just got a memo at GameStop, many ghost editions arrived with cracked casing, depending how bad the cracking is you will get a discount. If it's just cracked but not too bad you'll get 15% off. If it's so bad the case won't close, you get 30% off....not sure how wide spread this is, but all the stores in my area received this memo.
