F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
From Amazon: Get deep discounts on open-box, like-new, refurbished, or used products that are in good condition but do not meet Amazon.com's rigorous standards as "new".

Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, new but with damaged packaging product aka "dinger" and trade ins in generally like new condition. They are considered 3rd party by affiliation and as such the "Amazon Warehouse Deals" distinction but are still part of Amazon.

What is AmazonSmile?

About AmazonSmile

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes! All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken during restocks and or when pricing algorithm goes haywire. During those times, prices don't adjust and assimilate with the current inventory quickly enough to show the sorting as such

I'm waiting for a ps4, xb1, 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it, and or set alerts... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What is this "glitch deals" that I keep hearing about in this thread?

On August 7th, 2014, AWD glitched out similar to how it did around penny deals, except lot of stuff went for cheap instead for a penny. The pricing algorithm went haywire and in the process lot of stuff went for cheap across the AWD spectrum from games to iphones to tablets and everything else in between. The "glitch deal" lasted for maybe a couple of hours and fellow CAGs that were around during that time made out like a bandit. Below is the timeline leading up to the night and the deals that went down on that night.

What do you mean by a "dinger"?
Dinger = Item is new but the packaging is damaged in some way or form.

These are speculative guesses at best going by descritption of any given item and also taking into account the length of time an item has been out since its release. Shorter the span of time from release of a game or console, better the chance of scoring a new item with damaged packaging aka "dinger".

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
First and foremost all games from AWD are considered used unless specified as new. Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and depending on condition they can be perfect / brand new, brand new with damaged packaging aka "dinger" to just a game in a generic case. AWD has 5 condition criteria for their listings and they are:

New: Just like it sounds. A brand-new, unused, unopened video game in perfect condition in its original packaging and with all original packaging materials included.

Like New: An apparently unopened video game in perfect condition (although it may be out of its original wrapping). The box and item are pristine, with no signs of wear. Suitable for presenting as a gift. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Very Good: A well-cared-for video game that has been played but remains in great condition. The game and its original packaging are complete and slightly worn, but unmarked and undamaged. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Good: The video game shows wear from consistent use, but remains in good condition. There may be clear external signs of wear and damage to the original packaging or instructions, but the game plays perfectly. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Acceptable: The video game is fairly worn, but it continues to work perfectly. The box and instructions may be missing or damaged. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Sellers are required to note whether the box or instructions are missing in the condition notes field for the item. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Any game I have personally ever bought in good or above condition has been in near mint condition. Acceptable ones have been a gamble. Getting DLC with games has also been a gamble and since AWD games are considered used, don't expect unused DLC even though there will be occassions where they may come unused. In regards to DLC, ymmv. Conditon wise, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases and inserts, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc. Consoles listed in "acceptable" conditon can be either new in damaged packaging and or a pure gamble in what conditon they will truly be in along with what is included in the box depending on the time frame from release of the console.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot

Not exactly AWD selling them, but I have noticed that a lot of Vita games I want have been popping up sold by Nextwave and fba. The ones I look at all seem to be in 'Good' condition and don't list anything wrong with them. Any experience with these Nextwave 'good' Vita games? What could really be wrong with a Vita game (I don't even own a Vita yet; I meet a guy from craigslist on Saturday to buy one)? I know to watch out for games like FFX HD used, since the X-2 code could be redeemed. But for the most part, either it would be complete with case, insert, and manual and the cart would work or not, right?

Most Vita games don't come with manuals, so it's just the case, cover art, and game you mostly worry about.

OK, I am a noob, but my nephews are into this stuff and I am buying it for them for Christmas. The Disney one is easy to figure out.

Is trap team the one that just came out a few days ago? Also, can they use old figures with the new game?
Yes, Trap Team is the new one. All the old figures will work fine with it but if it's like previous games the old figures can't get as high of a level.

Are the trap team minis the same as the ones you use in previous Skylander games or do they actually do something this time around?

I believe they assist now but I haven't picked up Trap Team yet and won't until the inevitable half off BF sales.

think of them as the trap team version of the previous games light core figures but instead of lighting up they are smaller to distinguish different

Not sure that's accurate since all the minis I've seen are based off older figures where the Lightcore ones had those but they also had an AOE power when you summoned them. So they were like a teeny bit stronger version of the normal character... that lit up.

Older figures level up to the max of the game they're played on. Skylanders: level 10, Giants: level 15, swap force & Trap Team: level 20.

If you level a character to 20 (max), then play him on Giants, he'll show up as 15 (max), but he'll still be level 20 when you go back to swap force (no idea how they code this info into the figure, unless it's all percentage-based rather than hard data with something to the effect of 1-100%, then 100%+20%ifSwapForce)

The only differences between old figures and 2nd/3rd versions of figures (series 2,3,4) is an extra Pow Wow attack not available on the original release figure, and you can switch their upgrade path without having to completely reset the figure. Other than that, they act, play, and look the exact same in-game.

Are the trap team minis the same as the ones you use in previous Skylander games or do they actually do something this time around?
They're fully playable characters now. They're quicker, jumpier, but a bit underpowered/simpler compared to their adult counterparts. On top of that, you can even use the previously-worthless (well, they made quite a profit for me :) ) sidekicks from Frito-Lay the same as the new minis. ie: if you have a Trigger Snappy sidekick (green bottom mail-away promo), it'll work just like if it were the mini from the Drobit pack. Again, I have no clue whatsoever how they do this. How did a crappy magic item become somehow re-coded to store level, upgrades, hat, name, and money data??? (that info stores in the figure itself, not the game)

Back to the deals....

Unloaded a bunch of Amazon credit on a Destiny bundle. Hoping for a dinger:

Downloadable content (DLC) or codes for online play may require additional purchase. Item is in original, pristine packaging. Cosmetic damage (Less than 5% ) on the top of the item. All accessories are present and undamaged
Also says "In Stock October 17th," so I have a few days to mull it over.

That's because that's how long its taking to ge shipped back from whoever on here is returning a broken one :p

These vita prices are still too high. Think I'll just settle for a PSTV. I wonder if its release will affect the used vita prices. I could see it.

PSTV will still not be a portable solution which Vita is generally considered to be. I would imagine that Sony did not picture having two products compete with each other.

the tv isn't compatible with all the games. I bought my vita for 89$ recently but only because the game I wanted to play hearts r wasn't compatible with the vita tv anymore.

SHAQ-FU. Can anyone here confirm that they've returned a Destiny bundle that had a similar description? The description seems very specific for something that they don't have in their hands yet.

there also a good chance that amazon cancels the order it happens alot on backordered AWD stuff

And for the record, I was just being snarky while bored on my ass at work.

Although amazon does relist defective stuff.
they do alot but at least it hasnt been at the same high rates of defects as we seen with the ps4 and xbox ones back when the Not For Sale Consoles were going out

I decided to send back the VG Destiny PS4 bundle I got (it had clearly been dropped and has a crack near the blu ray drive). I don't want to chance being out $300 if the thing stops working after the return period. Anyone else have any issues with a Destiny bundle? I'll probably just buy another one when I see it and hope for some better luck.
Just a heads up, the one I order this week came and its suffering from the bad PSU issue. This one seems to have gone through Warehouse twice, so be aware fellow Amazon-ers that they are knowingly reselling the faulty ones. Physically, the system was in perfect shape except the rubber foot was a little dirty

Yes they have been some defective ones up. Somehow mine seems to work fine. Blu-Ray drive is a bit loud though, but apparently it's just loud according to some videos I've seen. Mine also tolerates vertical orientation less as the fan on my console will almost immediately kick up if I put it from Horizontal > vertical and quiets down fast when it's back on its side.

Aside from that I've sunk in about 20 hours into that thing and so far I can't see anything wrong with it...oh, and I even managed to get a Playstation Protection Plan w/ Accidental Coverage on it (apparently, no one used the console; they just took the Destiny Vanguard DLC code...30 day trial was still good, lol). I wasn't around last night here since I was on the phone confirming that the warranty and the plan is still good on my AWD console. Since no one else used it or logged onto it, the console got covered.

I know it's easy to go to SquareTrade, but I don't think they cover opened consoles. Oh and if you do want a PS Protection Plan, the CS person told me to call them instead of ordering on PSN. Apparently their systems vs. the PSN system does not communicate well with each other (account and system linking issues apparently).

So i got my (G) Killzone 3 Helgast Edtion today. For 9.xx i am impressed with it. The box has wear and tare but its not to bad. Everything inside is in great shape and the game wasn't even open and still sealed. From what i can tell it looks like something someone owned and maybe opened once and threw it on a shelf.
I want this! Where did you find this deal? Did you just look in Killzone 3 or did you just get lucky in finding it :/

The 'good' Mario All Stars for Wii I ordered a while back arrived in perfect condition.  Came with the outer box, the bonus cd and the mario history booklet.  Couldn't be happier.

I'm still salty about my 'very good' vita that came with no cords and a gigantic scratch.
