F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
From Amazon: Get deep discounts on open-box, like-new, refurbished, or used products that are in good condition but do not meet Amazon.com's rigorous standards as "new".

Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, new but with damaged packaging product aka "dinger" and trade ins in generally like new condition. They are considered 3rd party by affiliation and as such the "Amazon Warehouse Deals" distinction but are still part of Amazon.

What is AmazonSmile?

About AmazonSmile

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes! All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken during restocks and or when pricing algorithm goes haywire. During those times, prices don't adjust and assimilate with the current inventory quickly enough to show the sorting as such

I'm waiting for a ps4, xb1, 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it, and or set alerts... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What is this "glitch deals" that I keep hearing about in this thread?

On August 7th, 2014, AWD glitched out similar to how it did around penny deals, except lot of stuff went for cheap instead for a penny. The pricing algorithm went haywire and in the process lot of stuff went for cheap across the AWD spectrum from games to iphones to tablets and everything else in between. The "glitch deal" lasted for maybe a couple of hours and fellow CAGs that were around during that time made out like a bandit. Below is the timeline leading up to the night and the deals that went down on that night.

What do you mean by a "dinger"?
Dinger = Item is new but the packaging is damaged in some way or form.

These are speculative guesses at best going by descritption of any given item and also taking into account the length of time an item has been out since its release. Shorter the span of time from release of a game or console, better the chance of scoring a new item with damaged packaging aka "dinger".

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
First and foremost all games from AWD are considered used unless specified as new. Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and depending on condition they can be perfect / brand new, brand new with damaged packaging aka "dinger" to just a game in a generic case. AWD has 5 condition criteria for their listings and they are:

New: Just like it sounds. A brand-new, unused, unopened video game in perfect condition in its original packaging and with all original packaging materials included.

Like New: An apparently unopened video game in perfect condition (although it may be out of its original wrapping). The box and item are pristine, with no signs of wear. Suitable for presenting as a gift. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Very Good: A well-cared-for video game that has been played but remains in great condition. The game and its original packaging are complete and slightly worn, but unmarked and undamaged. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Good: The video game shows wear from consistent use, but remains in good condition. There may be clear external signs of wear and damage to the original packaging or instructions, but the game plays perfectly. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Acceptable: The video game is fairly worn, but it continues to work perfectly. The box and instructions may be missing or damaged. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Sellers are required to note whether the box or instructions are missing in the condition notes field for the item. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Any game I have personally ever bought in good or above condition has been in near mint condition. Acceptable ones have been a gamble. Getting DLC with games has also been a gamble and since AWD games are considered used, don't expect unused DLC even though there will be occassions where they may come unused. In regards to DLC, ymmv. Conditon wise, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases and inserts, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc. Consoles listed in "acceptable" conditon can be either new in damaged packaging and or a pure gamble in what conditon they will truly be in along with what is included in the box depending on the time frame from release of the console.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot

I hope Victoria Justice doesn't let me down. I need a good role model!
She has cute boobs.

I'm finally down to one remaining can of surge from my 12 pack that arrived on the 25th of September.

Just a reminder, if you are looking at new release games on WHD, remember that you can get them for ~$40 at Gamestop used with PUR and the birthday coupon

Say Victoria Justice...isn't that the one who took those selfies recently that people were raging over a few weeks ago (not referring to the JLaw/KUpton selfies)?

Is there ever any routers show up on AWD?

After another support session with Nintendo I still can't play Smash online. I can spectate Smash, download games, etc... and I have plenty of download speed at 20+mbps. I had some issues with my Wii U until buying the USB LAN adapter. At this point I figure it's time to get a new router. Is there any that people recommend at a decent price, specifically ones known to work with Nintendo and Smash 3DS?

i only buy linksys brand routers

Asus routers are awesome. I stopped buying Linksys when Belkin bought them. Buffalo with the custom firmwares are good from what I hear

Thanks, I'll see if I can find one for a decent price. If anyone has a specific model in mind feelvfree to let me know your experiences with them. IDK if it's just me but I've only had problems with Nintendo Consoles so any known routers that function good with Wii U and 3DS are a bonus.

1. Does ASUS make ANYTHING bad? Not in my experience.

2. Any suggestions for setting up a repeater? My sister and brother-in-law used to have ghetto DSL in their office, next to the desktop. Now, they switched to cable, which is set up in the living room, and the wireless gateway struggles to reach the office with a good signal (maybe 50 feet, through a couple of walls). Not sure if it's the modem or a junk USB wireless receiver, but thought I'd ask, as you gave a reasonably intelligent answer to the first question.

Long time lurker. I see you guys often post the psp boarderland bundle. Why? Is it a good deal?

I've always been a big fan of Sonys products, but I never made the plunge for the vita. You guys have me considering it though

Try playing with your 3DS plugged in. This reduced my lag and disconnect rate substantially.

It's essentially the only bundle that is currently out, so there are more of them showing up. My understanding is that Borderlands on Vita is not an ideal experience, but good enough if you want it on handheld. I believe Borderlands is only a code in the bundle, so if you're hoping to snag one, be aware that the code could be used.

Do you guys think we will see loads of sunset overdrive bundles come up? I have one preordered at gamestop and pretty much paid off. I like my stuff new when I plan to keep it but if it can go as low as $355 like the destiny bundles, that's a brand new game right there.

You gotta realize you'll be waiting to play the game for at least a month after launch. It's mid-October, and that Destiny bundle came out early Sept.

and then with mid November stuff going to start going even faster especially possible dingers items due to holiday shopping and prices might not even be that low since amazon probably know during that time the year they will sell at Almost any price

We actually started seeing the Destiny bundles as early as Sept 26th. So that doesn't mean much to me. I just hope it wouldn't be like 2 months lol

Also wrong above ^^^ you get the right one or a dinger and it's all included. Just luck of the draw ;)

Hmm that makes for an interesting point. I didn't think about November. Holidays elude me now and days lol. I'm torn now. :(

But not at $355. It's been hanging around $400 up until about a week ago.
Eh, actually, yes we did see $355 PS4s sporadically. I ought to know since I got sucked into Destiny PS3 and wanted a PS4 pretty quickly afterwards. Around the week of the 26th there were Good PS4s for $355. May have seen one or two Acceptable ones but they disappear in minutes. The Good ones go within a few hours. VG ones can linger for several hours. LN ones a little longer.

I'm not sure if it pays to be obsessed...

Everyone pointed out the negatives but there is one positive in your favor. Any product purchased at GS between 10/5/14 and 12/24/14 is eligible for return by 1/15/15 with the receipt. Hence, you can buy the bundle at GS, keep it sealed and hunt for one during that time at AWD and return the one from GS back during the said time. You are most certainly going to see the bundles here but the question is will they be above msrp or below given the state of AWD? Chances are the early batch of dingers will be below and then shift upwards. Good luck to you.

Has anyone else shipping status's seem wierd lately? Cause 2 of my orders I placed over 24 hours ago been saying preparing to ship for over 24 hours straight now and still showing a delivery date of tomorrow and I have never seen it stuck in preparing to ship that long during the weekdays

Placed an order yesterday and the day before and nothing wrong on my end.

Also just saw this that would interest prime members:

1. yes

10 yrs or so ago, my computer had an asus motherboard and that thing was awful (not very stable, no driver updates)

They have gotten a lot better now (I think...)

I have an Asus RT-N66U router and it has gotten a good number of updates.

I have an Asus RT-N66U router and it has gotten a good number of updates.
most def. asus has really stepped up their game the last few years. if you're looking to pick up a new router and don't already know about it, t-mobile is offering a "cellspot router", which is literally a RT-AC68U with an ugly t-mobile sticker & their own firmware which can be flashed over. can be bought straight out for $100 + shipping, or if you know someone who has t-mobile, they can get it for a $25 deposit. they waived the deposit and offered free shipping for month of September, but dunno if that's still valid. this router retails for a lil under $200 and is considered to be one of the best routers available on the market today.
