Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, new but with damaged packaging product aka "dinger" and trade ins in generally like new condition. They are considered 3rd party by affiliation and as such the "Amazon Warehouse Deals" distinction but are still part of Amazon.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?

You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken during restocks and or when pricing algorithm goes haywire. During those times, prices don't adjust and assimilate with the current inventory quickly enough to show the sorting as such

I'm waiting for a ps4, xb1, 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?

They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it, and or set alerts... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?

Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?

Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?

In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What is this "glitch deals" that I keep hearing about in this thread?

On August 7th, 2014, AWD glitched out similar to how it did around penny deals, except lot of stuff went for cheap instead for a penny. The pricing algorithm went haywire and in the process lot of stuff went for cheap across the AWD spectrum from games to iphones to tablets and everything else in between. The "glitch deal" lasted for maybe a couple of hours and fellow CAGs that were around during that time made out like a bandit. Below is the timeline leading up to the night and the deals that went down on that night.

What do you mean by a "dinger"?

Dinger = Item is new but the packaging is damaged in some way or form.

These are speculative guesses at best going by descritption of any given item and also taking into account the length of time an item has been out since its release. Shorter the span of time from release of a game or console, better the chance of scoring a new item with damaged packaging aka "dinger".

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?

Spoiler

First and foremost all games from AWD are considered used unless specified as new. Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and depending on condition they can be perfect / brand new, brand new with damaged packaging aka "dinger" to just a game in a generic case. AWD has 5 condition criteria for their listings and they are:

New: Just like it sounds. A brand-new, unused, unopened video game in perfect condition in its original packaging and with all original packaging materials included.

Like New: An apparently unopened video game in perfect condition (although it may be out of its original wrapping). The box and item are pristine, with no signs of wear. Suitable for presenting as a gift. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Very Good: A well-cared-for video game that has been played but remains in great condition. The game and its original packaging are complete and slightly worn, but unmarked and undamaged. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Good: The video game shows wear from consistent use, but remains in good condition. There may be clear external signs of wear and damage to the original packaging or instructions, but the game plays perfectly. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Acceptable: The video game is fairly worn, but it continues to work perfectly. The box and instructions may be missing or damaged. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Sellers are required to note whether the box or instructions are missing in the condition notes field for the item. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Any game I have personally ever bought in good or above condition has been in near mint condition. Acceptable ones have been a gamble. Getting DLC with games has also been a gamble and since AWD games are considered used, don't expect unused DLC even though there will be occassions where they may come unused. In regards to DLC, ymmv. Conditon wise, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases and inserts, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc. Consoles listed in "acceptable" conditon can be either new in damaged packaging and or a pure gamble in what conditon they will truly be in along with what is included in the box depending on the time frame from release of the console.

That ing sucks. I'm sorry man. I hope it gets straightened out. You've scared me away from buying consoles from AWD unless it's the rare glitchy under $20 or $30 miracle listings.

Hey thanks. It was more amusing than anything. It obviously sucks but I'm not sweating it. How any examiner of the trade-in would let this pass though makes no sense to me. 1) It's obviously not a vita. 2) It's obviously not "like new" (the reduced pic I posted doesn't capture the amount of damage on the screen) and 3) It's definitely not factory sealed, in fact all of the circular seals were cut on every side of the box and nothing was wrapped.

I spoke with a rep and they will be sending a usps pick-up person with a packing label and refunded me. They said they would do an investigation and said I was done on my end (assuming they get the thing back).

Not sure about "red flags" or whatever, but I buy a quite a bit from them, have two active kindles, and amazon prime. I haven't had any incidents in the past so I'm not too worried.

Two lessons learned though. One, I agree with you 100%. I got a mint PS4 from cowboom for around $215 with taxes a few months ago. Why I went with AWD for the vita, I'm not sure. Two, don't get greedy searching for dingers. I have had a ton of luck with dingers from AWD. In fact, I have always gotten dingers with everything intact (such as 3DS registration codes, limited edition books, etc) and always with very minor damage to the boxes. I thought that the BL Vita was a dinger from the latest printing they did, but I should have known better than to expect a dinger this late in the game (iirc that batch was sent out 9/2).

It's also interesting to see the reaction that some ppl seem to have to misfortune of others! Even so, I still wouldn't wish it upon you!

Xenoblade, Pandora's Tower, and The Last Story were all excellent games. I really wish they had come out earlier in the Wii's life. They came out at the end, I didn't have as much to spend with them as I would have liked.

asking would probably be suspicious enough for them to make a note you ask leaving a mark and no when they ban your account it a ip ban and lose all gift cards and more associated with that account and can't even do anything. If you own a kindle fire even that would be a brick

I bought one of the PS4s that showed up on AWD last night. I was trying to get the $269 one because it said sealed with box damage, and the $287 one said original packaging only, but I couldn't get the $269 one to get to my cart so I got the other one. I was really hoping to see Amazon match the Destiny bundle for BF (because it's white) but I'd rather save the $100 here.

This is the first time I've gotten in on a crazy AWD listing, so I'm stoked.

I don't think there's any concrete information, details, or numbers. Just don't excessively return items.

Ive been seeing if amazon bans your account, most likely they blacklisted your house address too and close any new account... Just dont abuse amazon, and if you do have a problem and they do contact you about account problems because you refund/return alot of things just explain to them what happen or call them up and all should be fine. Amazon has been pretty good its really hard for them to messup your order but, since most problem will proab happen in warehouse always read the description and know when a deal is too good to be true Lol. Also they usually check the item before shipping... They inspect what they send out kinda hard for me to believe they got a vita mixed up with a old psp mate. But shit can happen so good for you if it was legit and hope you got your money back with no problems.

this is why whenever i return something (defective/damaged/etc) i document it with photos and long chat sessions with their reps. i got one of those emails and i replied with links (imgur is a wonderful thing) and chat sessions showing the legitimate reasons for my returns (they were all expensive gifts and not by AWD, some were shipped without even a box to protect it) and they replied thanking me for my additional information and never heard again from them.

When I go through AWD's videogame section, all the games just have links to their normal product pages instead of a link to their AWD listing like before...

Times have changed. There is no way to change it sadly. Many of us have tried and many have failed. Just takes more time to check every page now instead of just the page with all the product listings. That's why it's harder for some of us to post deals especially when I'm on my mobile. Jeez it's even worse then. Talk about having to load pages.

As others have said, there's no concrete limit. It's just a generally large amount which is unreasonable which sparks a flag.

actually last year if the item was on normal sale not gold box the warehouse price was at least $3-5 cheaper for like new so it might repeat.

Last year AWD prices also updated to reflect new prices fairly quickly and weren't $2 lower than new on most items.  A lot has changed in a year.

yeah I was just in the other thread and they were mentioning that best buy price matched gamestop on tox2 but amazon hasn't. I plan to pick it up from there now unless amazon changes its mind. Hilariously bestbuy is sold out online already from what I read. I'm considering ff13-3 as well but considering its 20$ Would it be better to wait for further price drops? I mean for a very short game that has multiple playthroughs in mind and out of game content out the wazoo I'm not too crazy spending that much money on it. Especially when the demo is like 13-2 and the real game wont play as much like it.

I ordered a PS4 from warehouse deals with that kind of description and thought it was a dinger (May come repackaged + factory sealed [wtf?], cuts on the case, etc). It was not factory sealed, only had that warehouse deals inspected sticker thing. It came in a normal cardboard box, with none of the original boxes. The package was very poorly packed, and the PS4 came with loose pieces inside the console. I had to return it, so for anyone that wants to get a console with that kind of description, make sure to inspect it as soon as ya get it to make sure it works.
