F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
From Amazon: Get deep discounts on open-box, like-new, refurbished, or used products that are in good condition but do not meet Amazon.com's rigorous standards as "new".

Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, new but with damaged packaging product aka "dinger" and trade ins in generally like new condition. They are considered 3rd party by affiliation and as such the "Amazon Warehouse Deals" distinction but are still part of Amazon.

About AmazonSmile

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes! All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken during restocks and or when pricing algorithm goes haywire. During those times, prices don't adjust and assimilate with the current inventory quickly enough to show the sorting as such

I'm waiting for a ps4, xb1, 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it, and or set alerts... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What is this "glitch deals" that I keep hearing about in this thread?

On August 7th, 2014, AWD glitched out similar to how it did around penny deals, except lot of stuff went for cheap instead for a penny. The pricing algorithm went haywire and in the process lot of stuff went for cheap across the AWD spectrum from games to iphones to tablets and everything else in between. The "glitch deal" lasted for maybe a couple of hours and fellow CAGs that were around during that time made out like a bandit. Below is the timeline leading up to the night and the deals that went down on that night.

What do you mean by a "dinger"?
Dinger = Item is new but the packaging is damaged in some way or form.

These are speculative guesses at best going by descritption of any given item and also taking into account the length of time an item has been out since its release. Shorter the span of time from release of a game or console, better the chance of scoring a new item with damaged packaging aka "dinger".

AWD product description says "Factory Sealed", is this item new?
First and foremost, AWD sells used / open box items so in their terms it has been sealed / resealed at an Amazon Warehouse and hence the "Factory Sealed" part so no it isn't necessarily new. It isn't necessarily new because it could go one of two ways:

1. It was traded in / open box return / test unit that was resealed at an Amazon warehouse facility.
2. It was a dinger (new with damaged packaging and with seals intact).

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
First and foremost all games from AWD are considered used unless specified as new. Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and depending on condition they can be perfect / brand new, brand new with damaged packaging aka "dinger" to just a game in a generic case. AWD has 5 condition criteria for their listings and they are:

New: Just like it sounds. A brand-new, unused, unopened video game in perfect condition in its original packaging and with all original packaging materials included.

Like New: An apparently unopened video game in perfect condition (although it may be out of its original wrapping). The box and item are pristine, with no signs of wear. Suitable for presenting as a gift. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Very Good: A well-cared-for video game that has been played but remains in great condition. The game and its original packaging are complete and slightly worn, but unmarked and undamaged. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Good: The video game shows wear from consistent use, but remains in good condition. There may be clear external signs of wear and damage to the original packaging or instructions, but the game plays perfectly. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Acceptable: The video game is fairly worn, but it continues to work perfectly. The box and instructions may be missing or damaged. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Sellers are required to note whether the box or instructions are missing in the condition notes field for the item. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Any game I have personally ever bought in good or above condition has been in near mint condition. Acceptable ones have been a gamble. Getting DLC with games has also been a gamble and since AWD games are considered used, don't expect unused DLC even though there will be occassions where they may come unused. In regards to DLC, ymmv. Conditon wise, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases and inserts, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc. Consoles listed in "acceptable" conditon can be either new in damaged packaging and or a pure gamble in what conditon they will truly be in along with what is included in the box depending on the time frame from release of the console.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot

I ordered a game and the guaranteed delivery date was today. I just looked and it is now tomorrow. Anybody have a link to the policy page where it says that if the delivery date is missed, I get a free month of prime? I only have a few months left until my prime ends.

By the way, this was sold by a third-party seller, but it was Fulfilled by Amazon, so the game is still eligible for it, right?

Here's the way I see it. Guy puts a fancy guarantee on a box 'cause he wants you to fell all warm and toasty inside. Ya figure you put that little box under your pillow at night, the Guarantee Fairy might come by and leave a quarter, am I right? The point is, how do you know the fairy isn't a crazy glue sniffer? Yesterday I received my $262 PS4 (VG) from AWD. The box itself had very minimal damages to the top of it. When I opened it up, virtually everything looked brand new. I struggled to find any of the

I finally just have to ask.  I've been reading this thread for months but I just cant suss out exactly what a "dinger" is nor how to determine the relative probability of getting one.  I've acertained that 'dingers' are desirable, (I guess because they are  'practically new'?) but what does the term refer to? Cheers.

I bought a dinger copy (had a small dent in the bottom of the steelbook but the digital copy was unredeemed and the info sticker was still on it) of this from AWD back in September for $3.76. $9.98 isn't bad if you're in the market for it and manage to get a dinger, too, but if you're not dying to get it you could easily wait to see if it drops further.

That just says that they will refund my shipping cost, not that I am guaranteed to get a free month of prime.

Says at the bottom prime members get a one month extension while non prime get refunded shipping.

Occupy AWD!
This worked so well in the past. ;) I'm "a liberal", but I still enjoyed seeing hipsters freeze their asses off.

The sad thing about protests today is the narcissism of the people involved. They aren't there for a cause, they are there for a photo op or video to put on social media.

Forget to mention that a call of duty advanced warfare that i bought back in january for $31 came in brand new, with the xbox one seal. Description was

Used - Like New - Downloadable content (DLC) or codes for online play may require additional purchase. Factory Sealed.

I think that is also the reason people do "Save Africa" fundraisers and stuff like that. Only so they can feel good about themselves, because they are horrible people.

Hang on, I need to take a selfie with this topic so I can post it to Facebook.

I'd really like to think that the "musicians" and their fans are being ironic, but, sadly, I don't think that's the case.

At least duck lips isn't as prevalent as it was a couple years ago. *shudder*
some of dudes in the link video ranchwing's posted were doing the duck lip poses.

The key word is that it's still prevalent.....likely the biggest turnoff in a picture I see someone take.
biggest turn off in a picture probably be girls who has no ass what so ever and take those bathroom selfies sitting on the counters just to make there ass look bigger then it really is then they stand up and it flat as can be talk about false advertisement lol

I guess all those damaged copies of the order i pulled went back to the manufacturer instead of going on awd. There was about 30-50 copies. Some sticky liquid fell on them. So they all got stuck to each other. Many were salvageable as the liquid was only on the plastic wrapper. Some had the liquid get inside the jewel case and the cover art was all damaged.

Would it arrive today if that were the case? I just wanna know if there's any chance it will actually arrive today.
Well considering I went outside this morning and had a random package from FedEx so anything is possible. USPS does do parcel delivery on Sunday's for Amazon but I'm not sure if that's through UPS as well. If UPS does it themselves on a Sunday that would be a shock. If the tracking says today though then it probably will show up today.

Okay, thanks.

UPS does not unless it's specifically paid for Sunday delivery. (extra charge) And I believe its the same with fedex, every time i've had something sent fedex.. it always took an extra 1-2 days from what i'm quoted cause FedEx is horrible here. Amazon won't send me anything Via FedEx anymore. :D/

Easiest way is to check the tracking number, if it says dropped off at local Post Office (for sure post) as of Saturday... then it's possible for sunday delivery.

UPS tends to drop off the packages to USPS late in the afternoon after all carriers are out of the building, packages will not be sorted until the next morning when the clerks come to work at 2-3AM. anytime after noon or so, there are no clerks available to sort packages to the correct routes and nobody can sort them if they are not "qualified" anyway, Union thing. (in the local offices, not talking about distribution plants) So even if it shows at your local PO at like 1pm.. you won't get it that day.. it's the next day. It's in a container or on a pallet with a bunch of others, nobody will go dig through them for 1 package either.

It definitely says several times that it will be delivered today, but it's nearly 3pm. I had other things to do today, and it will be extremely complicated for me if it doesn't arrive today. They'll have to send it to the office of my apartment which closes at 6, and I work from early morning until after 6.

Edit: just noticed it says "by 8 pm." That gives it more time, but there goes my other plans for today.

Wikipedia says Japan/Asia only which seems really weird.

That list you ninja'd in is really out of date. Wikipedia has a much more up to date one as does Frisky.
Yeah, I looked up Wikipedia first and saw the info about it being only working in Japan / Asia but decided to have a list posted for comparison sake.
