F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
From Amazon: Get deep discounts on open-box, like-new, refurbished, or used products that are in good condition but do not meet Amazon.com's rigorous standards as "new".

Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, new but with damaged packaging product aka "dinger" and trade ins in generally like new condition. They are considered 3rd party by affiliation and as such the "Amazon Warehouse Deals" distinction but are still part of Amazon.

About AmazonSmile

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes! All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken during restocks and or when pricing algorithm goes haywire. During those times, prices don't adjust and assimilate with the current inventory quickly enough to show the sorting as such

I'm waiting for a ps4, xb1, 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it, and or set alerts... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What is this "glitch deals" that I keep hearing about in this thread?

On August 7th, 2014, AWD glitched out similar to how it did around penny deals, except lot of stuff went for cheap instead for a penny. The pricing algorithm went haywire and in the process lot of stuff went for cheap across the AWD spectrum from games to iphones to tablets and everything else in between. The "glitch deal" lasted for maybe a couple of hours and fellow CAGs that were around during that time made out like a bandit. Below is the timeline leading up to the night and the deals that went down on that night.

Note: No sales tax is charged when purchasing gift cards; however, purchases paid for with gift cards may be subject to tax.

What do you mean by a "dinger"?
Dinger = Item is new but the packaging is damaged in some way or form.

These are speculative guesses at best going by descritption of any given item and also taking into account the length of time an item has been out since its release. Shorter the span of time from release of a game or console, better the chance of scoring a new item with damaged packaging aka "dinger".

AWD product description says "Factory Sealed", is this item new?
First and foremost, AWD sells used / open box items so in their terms it has been sealed / resealed at an Amazon Warehouse and hence the "Factory Sealed" part so no it isn't necessarily new. It isn't necessarily new because it could go one of two ways:

1. It was traded in / open box return / test unit that was resealed at an Amazon warehouse facility.
2. It was a dinger (new with damaged packaging and with seals intact).

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
First and foremost all games from AWD are considered used unless specified as new. Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and depending on condition they can be perfect / brand new, brand new with damaged packaging aka "dinger" to just a game in a generic case. AWD has 5 condition criteria for their listings and they are:

New: Just like it sounds. A brand-new, unused, unopened video game in perfect condition in its original packaging and with all original packaging materials included.

Like New: An apparently unopened video game in perfect condition (although it may be out of its original wrapping). The box and item are pristine, with no signs of wear. Suitable for presenting as a gift. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Very Good: A well-cared-for video game that has been played but remains in great condition. The game and its original packaging are complete and slightly worn, but unmarked and undamaged. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Good: The video game shows wear from consistent use, but remains in good condition. There may be clear external signs of wear and damage to the original packaging or instructions, but the game plays perfectly. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Acceptable: The video game is fairly worn, but it continues to work perfectly. The box and instructions may be missing or damaged. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Sellers are required to note whether the box or instructions are missing in the condition notes field for the item. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Any game I have personally ever bought in good or above condition has been in near mint condition. Acceptable ones have been a gamble. Getting DLC with games has also been a gamble and since AWD games are considered used, don't expect unused DLC even though there will be occassions where they may come unused. In regards to DLC, ymmv. Conditon wise, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases and inserts, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc. Consoles listed in "acceptable" conditon can be either new in damaged packaging and or a pure gamble in what conditon they will truly be in along with what is included in the box depending on the time frame from release of the console.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot

I'm going try to get him fire. Already file my 30th complaint on the phone but they won't do anything. How funny would it be is the driver turned out to be a CAG... damn.
HAHA that would be Ironic! Don't ya think :)

Off topic:Went through the sony/ps4 repair form and put in my CC. Was on the last step and then I got an error.

Not even sure if my repair went through. Ny card hasn't been charged, plus got no confirmation email.

5PM EST and UPS still isnt' here. I really hate that driver. He ***** skip my delivery like 8 times this month stating that an attempt was when when it clearly wasn't so I have to call them each and every time. Why not fire and get a new driver?! Here in Jersey, Fed Ex is king.
Fedex delivered every one of my packages for a solid 8 months to the wrong address. I'd have to call, and they'd send the driver out to the wrong address, every time, to try to get it back. My cheap items usually made it back to me, the expensive ones were never found. At least they acknowledged their error immediately each time, which made it easier for the sellers who'd bother to file claims and refund me.

The PS3 I got last week is the first thing that's made it to my door since.

Don't even know him. I saw him once and that's it. This happen 45 times within the last two months and that's out of a possible 47 deliveries. That's a 96 percent failure rate, yikes and they won't fire him.

I don't have a problem with SOME packages being late but when it's a common thing and they LIE about making an attempt, that just pisses me off. If I ever trade with anyone here just please avoid UPS.
Here's what you do.

Put a note on your door with big letters saying

"UPS DELIVERY PERSON!"

"Dear UPS Delivery Driver,

I have been noticing the increasing amount of "failed attempts" to deliver packages to my home. The notes state that you are driving here and then no one answers. However, I have been here every time.

There must be something wrong with my door bell. I am determined to figure out what is wrong with it.

Take look at the window next to you. Do you see that camera pointed in your direction and the front door? This way, I can document what time you ring the doorbell so I can confirm that the door bell doesn't work.

For some reason, it works every time I press it. But maybe there is something you are doing wrong. I mean, all you have to do is press the door bell in. But, maybe there is some type of issue a 5:50PM every day when it says you attempted to deliver.

Anywho, thanks for partaking in my resolution to this issue. I feel bad that I'm wasting your time coming here almost daily and yet I never answer my door.

I'll point a camera at the street in front of my house too just for extra caution.

Have a great day!"

(That got a little longer than I expected it to lol)

UPS hasn't let me down.

FedEx actually delivered some of my mail to a completely different house and has lost a thing or two.

Depending on the mailman assigned to the route, USPS usually delivers my mail around 10am. Other times, they take their time and it comes at 5 pm. Or just delay it to the next day or so.

Got a LN PS4 I ordered for $272(after tax) a week ago, was missing some accessories(mono headset, HDMI cable, controller charger) but other than that the system/controller/psn codes were new.

Wish I was there for the cheap last gen systems...

F that noise....contact Amazon. They will most likely send you new stuff....or give you more of a discount. For Like New, there is 0 excuse to not have everything.

I'm afraid of contacting them because of the possibility of being banned. I hardly ever do adjustments or returns but its still a frightening thought. Plus I already had the other accessories from devices I already owned.

I think the only thing that note would do is get your boxes punted from the curb. He could also take a shit in your boxes.

I am lucky because Barb the Mail Lady is awesome and brings most of my stuff. She really is a great person and I enjoy seeing her when I'm outside and she brings me stuff, except bills.

If I was in that situation, I personally wouldn't contact for any of those things. I've thought about it before when stuff was missing the HDMI cord but I end up not doing it because it isn't that big of a deal. If it was the missing the controller, then I would contact them for that.

Anyways, that mono headset is a piece of shit and most people have an extra micro usb cable and hdmi cords laying around. You already have them so I say just let it go.

When I was chatting with CS during the Xillia affair I swear it was a bot. went through two people and they almost said the same stuff. One kept insisting the game would come on Friday. I posted the tracking number with the UPS tracking, he kept insisting, rinse, repeat. Ugh...

Only problem I have with UPS around here is they show up so erratically.  Some days its at 4 other days its at 7 and if they are here early they never leave packages in the office of my apartment complex which is open till 6.

If anyone feels like teaching a dumbass what "like new" means, there's a listing on Amazon for an XBO for $249.99 with the description "Used - Like New - This is a new Xbox one console only (no wires' controllers, hdmi , power supply )"

Someone is about to lose his system. Watch someone buy it, get it and then AMZ will pay them back for the error on the sellers part. Then seller is out shipping and his console LOL

I've always wondered if those grading options apply to 3rd party sellers - people often list broken systems as "good" or "very good".

Any chance this description is a dinger?

Downloadable content (DLC) or codes for online play may require additional purchase. Item may come repackaged. Factory Sealed. Medium wrinkle / bend on item case.

My "Used-Very Good" DSi XL came in today, and I am more than impressed. Was honestly just expecting the unit by itself, but it included the charger AND the huge-ass manual, which was a welcome surprise.

I'm kicking myself for not buying one of those 360's, despite my rule never to buy a used xbox console, but this works.

I had this problem when I moved to my house. There was a "note" on my address to have it delivered up the street to the previous owner's parent's house. I called them over three or four packages in a row and it stopped happening. When I ordered a PS4 off AWD a few weeks back, it occurred again. And I called them and somehow I still had that "note" on my address 8 years after I stopped having a problem. But the customer service was astonishing. Each department I was transferred to went the same way:

UPS: What is the tracking number? It was delivered.

Me: It isn't here.

UPS: Are you sure? The tracking says it is there.

Me: No, it is not here. I checked the carport where it is said to have been left. I also checked every other door and around the entire house.

UPS: It has been delivered.

Me: No, it really hasn't. I am looking at footage from the time of the delivery, and there is no delivery person anywhere to be seen.

UPS: Well, you need to speak to <department>. The package is marked as delivered.

I went through that for 2 or 3 departments before they actually opened a case for me and sent a driver out to pick up the misdelivered package once they uncovered they delivered it to a different address. Of course the neighbor brought it to me before they got to it and I never heard back from UPS. At least my neighbor was nice enough to bring it to the address on the box.

UPS Support may be the most useless support team ever. They are definitely in the running from my experience. Luckily, I rarely have issues so don't have to speak with them often.

I received my 40gb ps3 today without a controller. I spoke with a chat rep who would only issue a refund. Anyone had trouble with missing accessories before?

I literally was watching the UPS guy "ring" the doorbell through the eye hole.  He does not know how to press the doorbell, because it did not ring.  And I checked, I went out and pressed it myself right after he left.  Is it so hard to actually press down on the button instead just running your finger over it?

I really don't like UPS in my area.  FedEx and USPS is ok.  I know when USPS gets to my house, usually between 12 pm and 2 pm.  The FedEx guy today actually rung the doorbell and waited to hand me my package.

The UPS guy just like touches my door now, doesn't even make a sound any longer.

They do the fake ring/touch for the home cameras not for you to actually answer...

The UPS guy is chill here, comes to my house like everyday now, and USPS might not like all the Amazon packages but they have to deliver them. FedEx is rarely used to get stuff to me. But out of them all, UPS is my favorite.

Yeah, if it's missing stuff you can only get a refund, they won't send you the missing parts. Sucks, but thats how it is
