F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

What condition does products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. However, some people have reported that games were in no so scratched condition with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for the 360 slim, or ps3 to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.
Reminds me of the days some guys on CAG were charging $1,000,000 or whatever for a used Rock Revolution for Wii. Of course, $26 is a big leap from a million, but what are you going to do with a used MSP card? At least Rock Revolution could have been used as a coaster/frisbee/etc.
But it's listed as "Like New" lol. And I think a used MSP card could also be useful as a coaster! I mean, they do seem to be waterproof.. at least for a little while. ;)

Anyone buy one of the FF 13 Xbox 360 bundles from Warehouse Deals? They are listed as Like New for 226. Pretty tempting to upgrade for me, as I still have the very first chipset that is less energy-friendly + has been repaired like 4 times lol.

Or how about one of those Conviction bundles that are listed as Good condition? I wonder what "Good" would be like.

I got a Spring Bundle (w/ ODST & Forza3) and the unit was practically new, a bit of damage to the box and runs perfectly. I paid 149.99 for mine, and I'd snatch a FF13 or Splinter Cell bundle if they dropped to 170 or less.

I went ahead and bought that FF13 bundle. I really wanted to upgrade, and I figure after I sell the game (already own FF13), extra controller, my old xbox and accessories, I'll almost break even. I'll let you guys know how it is when I get it.

Yeah, I've seen some of the more ridiculous listings before. What are these people trying to achieve? That maybe someone will accidentally one-click them?

Anyway, I think eBay generally offers more shit, but is counterbalanced by more variety and options.
I picked up Star Ocean Second Evolution for $14.99, not super cheap but ive been looking to add it to my collection for less than $20.
I'm jealous.. been wanting this at that price for months. Been checking too!
You got me excited, until I saw it was the third one, which you can get for 20 new still.... Bleh.
The third is also not really very good. The first Shadow Hearts(and Koudelka)does not hold up well, but it is still worth a play for how amazing Shadow Hearts Covenant is when everything comes together. Seriously SH: Cov is so amazing it is worth sitting through two bad games for.

it would be very unlikely your system was sent back to you each time. I'm on my forth, maybe, lost count, and had a different system back each time(you can tell by serial number and build date)You can look at the back and see the build date. My latest one was the final chipset revision I think. June 08? Or second to last. All the ones that failed were early builds

So, I just got two PS2 games delivered today that I ordered from Warehouse Deals on Wednesday. They're both in eco cases. Complete with manuals, cover art, etc, so it's not too bad. Plus, I only paid 48 cents OOP for them.

If I wasn't going to just shelve the cases and keep the games in a CD/DVD wallet, I'd be pissed. Although I guess I shouldn't be surprised: the last two new games I ordered (Other M and SMG2) came in eco cases too. The only problem I really have with the eco cases is that they are really flimsy when compared to the "regular" cases. The design doesn't bug me that much, it's mostly that they feel like if you put them near anything heavy that they will fall apart.

The date on the back of it says August 2007. It may not be my original one, but it's definitely one of the older chipsets.

The 360 has some great games no question about that, but microsoft really messed up. wouldn't be surprised if I got a newer one because I was so vocal about their pathetic quality control. I remember one conversation

"yes it's in a well ventilated area. It's on the same shelf next to my PS3 which has never failed"

micro rep: "sir you can't compare the two"

me: " your exaclty right on that on. I play the PS3 three or four times as much and it hasn't failed once. Had is a few months after it came out, and here I am staring at this piece of crap you guys sent me a MONTH ago(to replace another). So I agree the two are NOT comparable"

It was funny how quick she approved the replacement after that.
it'll be a couple days. let us know how it works out though. it wouldn't suprise me however if someone purchased the system just to get the games and then returned it (which would mean you wouldn't be able to do it).
Got the code for downloading LittleBigPlanet, SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3 and Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters today.. too bad it's one code for three games but I already bought the little big planet before...

is there a good way to trade this code towards something? :bouncy:
Picked up Dragon Warrior 3 for the GBC (complete like new, $13.99) along with Watchmen PS3 (game + blu complete like new $10.99)
I didn't know they re made DW3 for the GBC. My bro had the first three on nes. I went to a game trade in store and the worker paid me cash for them...found out a month later their policy has always been only to offer store credit. This was 16 years ago fyi, wouldnt do that now!
Secret of Mana (PSX) is on sale for a very reasonable $176.99
You mean Legend of Mana, right? I don't recall Square giving Secret of Mana the crappy PS1 port treatment.

Thanks for posting it.
Somebody please buy the other 2 before I give in and spend money I don't have...
I bought one of them.
I don't have the cash :( Plus there's no way I'd buy a used 360.
It was opened before, had no manuals, headset was still sealed in the bag and had a couple of scuff marks from where someone sat it on a table or another unit I guess. Was concerned, cranked it on with some the awesome Alan Wake CE and it worked just fine. Going to try to play it for a longer amount of time to see if it siezes or anything before the return period ends.

I never played the Dead Rising game and have only played the demo. I wanted to buy it so I got it from Gamestop for $17.99 used and it came in terrible condition and was missing the manual. I ordered a "Like New" from Amazon Warehouse and it was a sealed brand new copy. I've been so happy with Amazon lately

I didn't notice, I will check when I return home! And hey DarkRider, you are from my area. Do you know of any good local shops? I don't find too much good stuff in the Hudson/Bergen county area.

The only good place I know of is Digital Press Games in Clifton, but their prices aren't that great. Not many pawn shops around either that have good prices.

Snagged a ps3 160gb last night for $221, it was a good deal considering that's the lowest I've seen one lately and it has no tax and free 2 day shipping. Hopefully it comes in good working condition but I'll keep you guys posted

The 160gb that I got in a few weeks ago was still Brand New. Only the seal on the box was removed, but nothing inside was even touched. I did dread going through setting up my PS3 for the first time though. Curses!
Question for people who have bought "Like-New" PS3s, how much firmware updating was necessary?
3.5 just came out a few days ago. So you will have to update it yourself. It shouldnt take long
I don't understand this warehouse thing
Isn't it just the same used games you can buy from other sellers on the main Amazon page?
Yes, but usually they are either cheaper or at the very least guaranteed to have the artwork and manual. Plus, you get the Amazon guarantee since it's like Amazon is selling them.

Plus, Prime shipping makes this awesome.

it's a subsidiary of Amazon, meaning you can use amazon gift cards and can get free shipping/prime shipping on the items. They constantly get new items in and the prices fluctuate. Sometimes you can get a really good deal. I and several others got Wii's for $65, for example. Others have gotten PS3's for under $200. Those items sell out really quickly, though.

what everyone else said, but they also come in great condition, for the most part.

it's returned opened items and used games from their trade-in program.
used games from their trade-in program.
this part is wrong. games you trade-in do not go to amazon warehouse. they are sent to noram, a third party seller who does not work for amazon.

I recently purchased a game from Warehouse Deals that had a yellow Gamestop sticker on the actual cover insert, so it's safe to assume that all of their products are not merely from returns.

I love being able to get games and resell them right to amazon and only losing 1.00 or less
SELL PRICE / Trade price
Imagine: Party Planner 11.31 Trade 11.00 only 31 cents to rent it

Will get it weds allow them to play it weds night and thursday night and toss it to ups friday

I prefer them paying me to play games. For example, a couple weeks ago I got Fifa 10 World Cup for $29 and the tradein was $32.50.

Are you sure it was a Gamestop sticker? I've gotten a few of these lately and they seem to just be a generic printed label about the same size as a gamestop sticker.

I'm positive it's a Gamestop sticker. It's the yellow "Used" stickers they used about a few months ago before switching to the white "Pre-owned" stickers. It's stuck on the spine of the paper insert, which is what many Gamestop stores used to do. I don't really care considering the fact that everything else about it looks near perfect (disc is buffed to almost spotless condition and manual looks untouched.) and I removed it safely. I am not talking about the "Used-Like New" sticker on the plastic; this is on the paper insert.

This happen to me too, I just recently bought a PS2 game on Amazon Warehouse Deals. Its the yellow Gamestop used sticker that they put on the game insert, lucky the game itself was brand new
