F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

What condition does products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. However, some people have reported that games were in no so scratched condition with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for the 360 slim, or ps3 to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

My $213 PS3 just came. So far its working well, I am going through the set up for it right now. After I make sure disks works, the net works etc etc Ill update with results.

My TE fightstick is still listd as "Shipping Soon" in my orders, but they already charged my card. What's standard protocol for warehouse orders? First time for me.

It takes em a bit. For me, they usually don't ship till the next week regardless of when I ordered the previous week. So you'll prob get tracking next week.

Thanks for clearing it up. Just wanted a nice estimate.

Appreciated.
Looked like there were some new games up as well, those are a pain to round up though.

Grabbed the Metroid Prime set and a white Wii Remote myself. Hope you guys are getting things you want as well. How bittersweet it is to find deals :), never getting anything done to my car at this rate.

Never seen it say back-ordered before, and I have no idea about the warranties. Know I registered my Wii with Club Nintendo and got the extended 90 days on it, but do I even get a warranty for a "used" item? Guessing I could of done a little bit more homework before splurging on consoles here, suppose I just have to hope these don't take a crap on me anytime soon.
How much was the Wii Remote?

The PS3 I got for $213 works fine. It played a blue ray, it played 3D DOt Game heroes and it downloaded and played numerous PSN games no problem! The box was a bit beat up and it had obviously been opened before but its fine!

I assume yours was "used-very good" condition? If so, that's good to hear. Also, what model did you get? (Something like CECH_ _ _ _ _)

Mine will come this Saturday, so I will update when it arrives.

Not sure what model I got, how do I check that? As for the description it was listed as "Used - Very Good". Are these models actually used? I thought it was a new model. Either way, I guess it works.

My one concern is that this thing runs HOT! I mean my PS3 fat and my 360 ran hot but Christ this thing runs hotter then any machine I have ever had, within just a few minutes of playing it felt like it was on fire.

the one's that were new were listed as used-very good, but the description said they were still factory sealed, however there were some that didnt say this, my bro bought one of the $213 ones that said they were still sealed. about the heat issue.... i dont know as i never had a ps3, but i dont remember ever hearing that

I'm curious to see what model your brother got. I just got mine from Amazon and I also bought one that was described as "factory sealed". However, it was definitely an open box item. My ps3 is a 2001A model so I am somewhat disappointed.

I'm with you, Sequester, I got the $199 ps3 from this past weekend and it was supposed to be "factory sealed," but was definitely open box. It was a 2001A model too.

What sets apart the different model numbers? I always thought that the only distinction between PS3 models was the hard drive capacity (with the exception of the launch models).

Hmm that's lousy. I'd test it out to make sure it's ok. If it is, keep it. There is no way in hell you should pay the $200 price for it though when they lied (intentional or not that is bs to advertise something as factory sealed when it isnt).

If you still want it you can pretty easily turn this into a better deal though I think. First complain that the item was NOT as described and you would still like to keep the product, but you're pretty upset that they would lie in their description and would like some help resolving the issue.

Then wait and see what the reply is. If it's good then just accept it. If the offer isnt good enough, you'll have to reply back and let them know youre extremely pissed that they would lie to you and then insult you with some bs compensation and let them know you're ready to do a chargeback as well as leave them negative feedback and so on...keep it civil but extremely firm.

I know it's Amazon but I've been screwed like this before (from gohastings) and I ended up getting a $70 game free from doing what I just said.

i can update you guys on monday? i think his delivery estimate is for monday, anyway, i will post then to let you guys know the model, and it if is indeed factory sealed or not.

Is there a way to see the details on the ps3 that you buy from the warehouse? I forgot to check if mine was open box or not and want to go back to read it.

Okay, a big F U to the guy who bought Record of Agarest War out from under me when I got a phone call at work. $35 was too cheap a deal to pass up on, I guess.

My slim I got last year runs like that too. Try running a game like Red Dead Redemption on it if you get a chance. It makes my one buddies' fat model 40gb sound like it's about to take off and does the same to my slim model.

Literally the fan will kick into the highest speed and the top of the case in the back gets hot and when you pop out the disc the disc is luke warm to hot as well.

A friend of mine from CAG/PSN also has a slim and has remarked the same things happening to his.

Either way the PS3 fat model I used to have also ran pretty hot too. However it was largely restricted to the bottom of the case and not the top.

There's not really much room in the slims for the heat to dissipate in and the vent sizes on the front and back(no more side vents along the right hand side of the case) leave something to be desired as well.

I may break out my slim PS3's receipt and send it in next month for in warranty service right at the end of the piddily one year warranty.

I should've never got rid of my fat model PS3 last year. It may have been loud at times and hogged more energy, but at least it ran cooler than the slim but not by much.

I have 40+ PS3 games, Red Dead Redemption is the only one that makes the fans go crazy.

Way to port it RockStar!

Doesn't ruin a great game though.

Actually I've noticed the same fan issue with the GTA games on PS3 as well. Other than those 2-3(since GTA IV and the Episodes disc version make it ramp up) though I haven't noticed an issue on any games.

Maybe it is Rockstar then.

I have GTA IV for the 360.

I do have GTA Liberty City Episodes still sealed, I wonder if that'll do the same thing as RDR.

The guy did you a favor, that game is terrible.

And this is coming from a guy who played and beat other mediocore games like Cross-Edge and etc.

It might be Rockstar then, though with a game as large as Red Dead Redemption is and having virtually no loading screens for the game I figured that could've been it.

The only time I see a loading screen is when I'm going into a mission or game or into/out of the online modes.

Otherwise you don't really see a loading icon even come up, but you can hear the disc reading quite a bit.

The 2 PS3s I ordered on June 29 for $226.99 each are 2101A's, complete with Netflix stickers on the box. Both boxes are beat up, one not so bad, one kinda bad. Both boxes have taped up bottoms. Both were listed Used - Like New. Not gonna complain.

not bad, just not 45nm or whatever. Just like Falcon 360s were pretty much okay (cue 10 posts from scorned falcon owners here), but Jaspers were better.

I imagine the new slims still get hot in the back. There's going to be heat with the cell processor in that small of a space.

Dammit, this would have to happen right after I run out of spending cash, lol.
Oh well, here's hoping next month! :)

Wii failure rates are really low. I've yet to meet someone who's had a wii break on them. It's not a 360, you know :D

Got my PSP Go & Wii in today...

the $156.99 PSP Go was brand new with a few spots on the box (the system still had the plastic sleeve and no finger prints).

The wii's box ($95) appeared to be fine, opened it up, it looked pretty new as well. Great buys!

I got in on one of these xboxes and it came today. Strangely, I'm not really finding much wrong with the box. The biggest deformation is in one of the corners, and it doesn't seem bad enough not to sell it as new. The Xbox has a manufacturing date of 4-10-2010 so it should be one of the newer units and everything does look brand new. The only disappointment I have is that the controller is wireless. I was hoping for a wired controller so when I got done I could just hand off the 360 to my bro and use the controller for pc games. The Xbox we used to have RROD'd and I've been meaning to give him another one once I found a decent deal. All in all it was definitely worth it. Especially since I had about 80 bucks in amazon credit.

ALL new arcades come with a wireless controller! :applause:

I managed to grab record of agarest war limited edition for 28.99 and thought it was a great deal at the time but once i received the package it looked like someone dropped it on the highway and returned it to amazon, and i didn't get the mousepad either, just the game and the pillowcase , i contacted a amazon rep and said i could return it. do you guys think i should keep it since it only cost me 28.99 or should i go through the hassle of returning it?

I bought a 'new' bronze XL from a friend of a friend. It's weird; the thing was sealed, everything looked brand new, the DS even started with the whole setup thing. A day later, it plotzed; buttons and touch screen didn't work. I went to Nintendo's site and checked the system's warranty, and it was valid; no need for receipt or any proof of purchase. I shipped it to Nintendo and got it back within 10 days, all fixed up, all for free.

My point; buying this XL probably includes Nintendo's warranty.

Amazon's saying my fightstick has shipped, but UPS is listing as it being at the front porch in Indiana.

I'm sure it'll get here, but that's just worrisome.

Don't worry, that happens now and then. UPS re-uses tracking numbers. Check the date it was left in Indiana.

When Nintendo shipped my Wii back, the tracking was listed as being 10 states away, I was freakin' out, then I noticed the tracking was from a year ago.
