yeah, it could be. I went ahead and got it, i just got the first two and was holding on on wrath of the lich king but had to get it @ $20

Wow so you could get all the game/expansions for 30$ before Cata comes out. 20$ for Lich King and 10$ for the WoW Battle Chest on Black Friday.

Nice find. I have a few clan mates that will benefit greatly from this. Also, if you combine a pre-order for Cataclysm with release date delivery, this you should qualify for FSSS. I can't verify this myself since I have prime, though.

While your picking up WOW at a great price you should also get the DVD Second Skin, which is currently on sale, so that you can see how beneficial WoW can be to your life. It's actually a really entertaining look at MMO's.

Of course, I am only partially serious, but as a former WoW player, I honestly think this is by far the most addictive game I have ever played and its an endless time sink. I would encourage anyone who hasn't tried it that has self control issues or an addictive personality to stay as far away as possible. Also, I am sure they will be releasing a new battlechest that includes Litch King in the next few months.

Or pay 40 for all of it today...

I don't play it... I have friends who really want me to though and the game is installed on my PC... (They come over and play here every once in awhile since I can run it at max settings.)

Thats also true. Save u the hassle of going out on Black Friday, and with the tax/driving/time it would probably make up that 10$ difference.

Amazon has a history of PM'ing a lot of BF deals. This leads to a lot of things selling out. If you want to take your chances, you could wind up seeing Amazon PM the thing on sale at the local store or they may not. If you intend on NOT doing the BF line war thing, you could probably wait and see if they do PM it.

You risk missing out on the current price at Amazon, of course.

Not knocking the deal for what it is. Those are decent prices.

I just have a hard time swallowing the fact that anyone getting to the party late here has to purchase the base game or older expansions at all.

Lots of other MMO's that I have played give new customers the data and keys to the base game and every prior expansion when they purchase the latest, newest expansion.

I suppose WoW is popular enough that they don't need this method to attract new customers or cut anyone a break, but it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

That, plus WoW doesn't have numerous expansions (such as Everquest's 17... wow) that the retailers need to make room for on the shelf.

You're probably not going to find lich king for much cheaper than half price, even on black friday. I know I'm getting it, and waiting for the battlechest to either be matched on Amazon for $10, or heading out to Kmart or somewhere else for it.

Both BB and GS have the first two in the battlechest for 10 bucks on BF. Both are close to me so I'll probably do that. Hopefully wraith will still be 20 then because I'd hate to get this and not even have the original two.

Have been clean now for 1 year and 2 months.... must....not....buy....cataclysm. Even though I already have the Collectors edition pre ordered. I plan to keep that and sell it new and sealed for a profit though. (yeah shame on me, but why not!)

I believe K-mart is also selling it for $10 on thanksgiving day and black friday. I'm betting Amazon will match, since multiple big retailers are doing it....though it would be nice if Amazon would leak their black friday deals. I believe they're the only major retailer who hasn't.
After not playing for 4 years... I'm starting to get back in it again. Might jump on this... Wish I had a better PC though.
Is Cataclysm demanding higher PC specs now? I didn't have a problem playing vanilla WoW, BC, and WotLK. I wonder if I'll encounter slowdowns if I pick up Cat. I, too, have been clean for about 1 1/2 - 2 years now.. but with a $20 gaming credit just sitting there and the high chance that the WoW Battlechest will be $10 on Amazon... it's hard not to pass it up.

Ugh. Damn this addictive game!!

judging from the screens and videos of cataclysm, it doesn't seem like it's any different from vanilla WoW graphically. Each expansion does slightly beef up the specs, as my old laptop kinda struggled with lich king after no problems with the first 2, but it shouldn't be some massive jump that will leave half their userbase behind.

Thanks for the deal. My friend re-subbed about a month ago on a Vanilla/BC only account. He wants to get back in for Cataclysm. Luckily, he's only about to hit Outland -- he's been hoping to find a deal on WotLK. Hard to believe that it's been able to consistently maintain a $39.99 pricepoint for the past two years.

Seems like the price went back up, hopefully they do something with it again since BF is still a few days away.
