I guess if you are trying to gloat and have your 5 minutes of fame, good job, but Nintendo certainly doesn't appreciate even hinting at this. From a NDAd Nintendo dev to another I suggest just keeping quiet about this kind of thing :)

That's why I'm saying absolutely nothing specific. But yes, better to keep totally silent. It's hard when I actually care about collecting these things as much as the next guy. I need to separate the collector from the developer here. :)

For the record, as a matter of opinion I could find something boring/unexciting that others might find super interesting/exciting. YMMV when it comes to enthusiasm levels.

We're actually trying that with Breach & Clear! Not sure if Nintendo will go for amiibo support in a somewhat realistic tactical strategy game, though. Never the less, we're having fun working on the functionality.

It's pretty obvious though, sounds lilke Jigglypuff, who the heck cares about that atrocity, schoolgirl anime fans? (kidding, cool your jets fangirls xD) And the other....R.O.B? I'll never understand why that thing made it into smash. The original one was garbage according to AVGN, but aparantly someone at Big N is a fan. Wonder how they'll mount Duck Hunt, or do Olimar's helmet... hopefully no more 'urinesicles' as cags have so lovingly termed them.

Which wave 4 amiibo do you guys think will be rare? I don't plan on buying them all at once, I'd like to buy first anything that may sell out for a while...

Yeah, I'll have no interest in the Splatoon amiibo... but I'll probably still end up ordering because I'm insane. I'd be happy with walking away with Ness and Lucina tonight. I have the other 4 pre-ordered at Amazon JP XD

Why is everybody convinced there will be a splatoon amiibo? Seems like a weird property to make amiibos for.

Probably because a retailer (in South Africa I think?) had a listing for two Splatoon amiibo as well as a special edition of Splatoon that came with an amiibo.

"Smash Bros. amiibo Series Wave 4, which was previously announced, is now scheduled for a May release. It includes Robin, Lucina, Wario, Pac-Man, Ness, and Charizard. It will be followed by Wave 5, which consists of Dark Pitt and Palutena, in July. Wave 6 will be released in September, and it will include Olimar, Bowser Jr, Dr. Mario, Zero Suit Samus, and Ganondorf."
