I don't think it's going to be worth going to Best Buy if they are going to have anything less than 5 Meta Knights to sell. Unless you are planning on wearing your running shoes. 

And if you go, prepare yourself for disappointment.   You don't want to go on an unfavorable hunt and make yourself upset over it.  Call it what it is, and try to have a good time with the other people.

I have to work in OH tomorrow and even though it will be -10 degrees I just have a feeling 11 will still be too late to get to best buy. Sad day haha
 
how is this going to work with Metaknight are they going to be put out in the amiibo section or are they going to be behind some counter?

My order I got in for Meta Knight and King Dedede both shipped. Now just need to worry about finding an Ike. Don't have high hopes for tomorrow at Best Buy considering the short supply at other retailers and that I would only be able to show up maybe ten minutes early because of work.

On release days, do stores actually put the new amiibos on the pegs with the others? If so, that must be a show!

I'm still going to give it a shot. Amiibos sell fast here but I've had some luck getting rare ones in-store on a random hunt. I'll still pick up the new Kirby game while I'm out, so it wont be for nothing even if I dont get a Meta Knight  :-({|=

 
For those of you who pre-ordered Wave 3 via newegg, I just talked to a rep who said they'll be shipping in the next couple of days. We'll see!

 
Sweet! Just got confirmation of my Mega Man ready for pickup from Best Buy tomorrow! One less to worry about... Now Ike from GameStop is a totally different story... 

 
My best buy in hagerstown MD are full of dickhead employees.. I call and ask if i can come in store to see if theyll have extras outside of preorders... His response, "unfortunately i cant give any information out at all." In a geeky tone lol

Looks like you got a decent shipping job. They crammed my Sonic into a box far too small and compensated by completely bending the top of the card over. Good work Target.

 
Just called my local BB and looks like they have no intention of doing a ticket system. Last week when amiibos where at Toysrus there was a line of 10+ people and those same people will be there for this BB launch. Definitely getting there early.

 
Got my two Ikes from Target. They completely bent the top of the card over the bubble to fit in the box!  I'll try to post a picture later but something to worry about if you ordered from them.

My Rosalina's from them were packed good, don't know what the fuck happened this time.

Long time lurker first time poster, just wanted to thank all of you for the work put into helping fellow amiibo hunters. I thoroughly read both threads and have yet to come across an answer towards the cancelled December Toys R Us preorders for those that used a Paypal account to order Ike. Toys R US sent out an email to reorder but a seperate email was supposed to be received in January with instructions to order Ike. I was wondering if anyone received those instructions?

 
Just got a shipping notice from BB.  I had a combined order for Meta Knight and Mega Man, looks like they've only shipped Meta Knight from what I can tell....

There's three Best Buys in the area versus one Toys R Us, so I'm hopeful the 15 or so folks that were at TRU are spread out amongst the various locations, meaning everybody can get what they want.

Same thing on my Sonic and my Rosalina was fine as well. Guess we'll see how my Dedede shows up...

 
Found a Toon Link at Target today, only one I've seen in the wild in my area. That's across one Best Buy, one Toys R Us, two Targets, two Walmarts and three Gamestops. Kind of feel like I should have picked him up for a spare but I didn't want to take him away from someone else.

Around Christmas, I had been going back and forth on whether or not I wanted to fully dive into collecting amiibos for a couple of weeks. Right before he was supposed to release I saw 5 Captain Falcons at a Gamestop. Went home to mull it over and then decided to fully commit to buying the complete collection. Upon return to Gamestop the five Captain Falcons were already sold. The hunt had already started.

Saw Little Mac at Best Buy the first night it got put on the shelves along with Diddy. Didn't buy it because I was still shrouded in the aura of ignorance and bliss that is waiting for a sale, like most traditional CAGS. By the time I realized what was going on with Amiibos, of course everything was gone. Never made that mistake again.

I mean if people just didn't pay ridiculous prices for them and the demand was only in the honest collectors then the scalpers would have a bunch of money invested in tons of product they can not move they would have no choice eventually than to sell them at a cheaper price.
 
Hmm. BB just shipped my new order(2/16) of MK, but my original order (12/16/14)  is still in blank. I guess It was a good idea to make an extra order.

 
I checked my BBY order for instore pickup and it said "Ready for pickup" so I took a chance and went in ready for battle.

No muss no fuss all of my figures came right out and scanned perfectly fine.  No more biting my fingernails for Meta Knight.
