Between this, a Dedede on the way from Target, and the Ike I FINALLY got ordered thanks to Walmart, I am done w/ all amiibos in waves 1-3.  w00t!

You answered your own question. An individual who happens to be a **** when it comes to cost cutting will try to cut corners any which way they can, and a warehouse employee is most likely saying to themselves, "I don't get paid enough for this ****," and couldn't care less about your order.

No I get that but when you place an amiibo so that you actively have to smash it in for the lid to close.... that's more effort than if you put it in the correct way isn't it?

 
My Meta Knight looks horrible, black smudges of color all over his mask, the brown should pad bleeds n the gold trim, the white horns on his wings is white colored on purple with the white color cracking, and the only thing good about him is his shoes you can hardly see. :/
Very disapointed in his quality....

On the bright side my Ike turned out to be a very nice quality, King DeDeDe's only problem is that the whites of his eyes are chipped on the edges, and Sonic is perfect condition but he isn't a very detailed figurine to begin with though....

Still, my best quality Amiibo's are Pit, Shulk, and Bowser by far. S Class awesomeness.

All of my Best Buy shipments have came in time and the boxes were in great condition and none of my pre-orders were canceled. I think I will continue pre-ordering from them especially considerng the disaster that was ToysRus.

Your's is actually very good a lot that I've seen has this black aftermark all over the face plate like the machine that printed them had too much soot

If you get a 2nd one sell this one as a "mistake" or "battle damaged variant". You will triple your money. Take it from someone with a Marketing degree and 20 years of ebay experience.

Are you talking about the silver/black? I think it is supposed to look like that isn't it?

Now before I'm accused of being a re-seller (You wouldn't be wrong, I am. However,) These three Mega Man(s) are for me.

Just got my Meta Knight, King Dedede and Ike in the mail from Best Buy and out of all my pre orders Meta Knight got damaged  :censored:  :wall:   

 
here i go since i wasnt able to get a meta knight today since the best buy i went to this morning lied about having any to begin with and wasnt able to get one. Also looking for a ike US Version since those the last two i need to have a complete set but Meta Knight my priority right now. 

So If anyone has more then 1 US Version Meta Knight and willing to get rid of it at a decent CAG Price through Paypal to a fellow CAG or to do a trade for any other Amiibos i have send me a PM and see if we can work something out. Thanks and appreciate it in advanced

All 3 of my meta Knights are very dirty in the face, not sure why

Ionno, has anyone opened theirs? I'm curious if this is a paint defect or a sign that we're getting lead based paint on our amiibos

 
The crappy paint job on Meta's face mask actually looks pretty cool I think.  Mine has black spots too, just looks like Meta actually got into battles!

Sorry.... one of my pet peeves are whiny people who complain even after getting a hard to get figure. There are people on this thread who got 3 MK's and are still complaining.

It's hard to tell by the picture, but it's not the black marks. I'm actually ok with them. The silver paint is runny and you can tell it was applied too thick in some places.

Yours isn't too bad. Mine actually has a lot of scuff marks - don't know wtf they were doing to it. Luckily they aren't noticeable at a glace, but if you look real close in the light you can see them:

There are a couple more like that. Kind of weird how shoddy the paint job in general seems to be on this particular figure.

 
 I bought 3 Meta Knights from Best Buy and 1 from Amazon.

Each one of them has minor silver paint imperfections on the mask. Every single one of them.

Wow, you lucked out. I was first in line at the local BB. I got there a liffle before 6am, and others soon followed. Out of all five local stores, the one by me was getting the most in. On the phone the two times I had called them over the past couple of weeks, the number was always nine Meta Knight's after pre-orders. That number changed to 4 this morning. The line grew, but a few of us knew each other from the 3B release at TRU last week so no scalpers got a hold of any of them.

The only other 3B one they got in was Mega Man. Everyone else was looking for Ike, but no dice.

On the plus side, the experience has been kind of fun. I've met some really good people and fellow Nintendo enthusiasts in the process. Trying to find the positives, haha.

Don't get me wrong, I am grateful to have him. But for all the grief Nintendo is putting people through, they could at least make them quality products :p Plus, it's not like a "Merth" where there are a lot of little details that sometimes get screwed up. Meta Knight is a pretty simple design - almost as simple as Kirby who almost universally looks great.

 
I drove past a looong line of people in front of Gamestop, even one dude on a Bike lurking the in shadows near the door.

I get out and ask, "What are you guys all waiting here for?" they told me they are all in line to see if Amber from Gamestop is working.

I still think once whatever exclusivity period Best Buy has ends there will be a ton of Meta Knights (maybe in the Summer?).  He's one of the few figures that actually works with something besides Smash Bros, so it makes sense that Nintendo would want to re-print him like they are already planning on doing for Marth and Ike.

how's that any different from a normal pre-order? At least with ebay you can take satisfaction in making them eat the ebay fee while leaving negative feedback
