Since GS appears to be getting a lesser amount of Ikes than they have pre-orders, is there any difference between a pre-order at the store or an online pre-order that you are having shipped to the store for pickup?

The online order had the option of ship to home or ship to store.
 
Did anyone else get an alert for WiiFit Trainer avaliable at Amazon? Prob lasted 7secs, I went immediately and couldn't get it. >:eek:

i live inside a surveillanced and locked building.  if i come to the door and they look sketchy i wont deal with them... I didn't think people were actually desperate enough for a measly $50

That's not enough, dude. Meet them INSIDE a mall. Best place. Way too public to make a violent scene and plenty of exits for you to leave from so they can't rob you on the way out. Best way to do it.

 
idk call me crazy but i'm going to assume the amiibo deal was completely unrelated. He couldve been pretending to sell a macbook or something and had some idiot meet him outside with $500+ why would he waste his time on $50

I will admit to having CL people show up at my house a couple times...I wasn't happy about it but figured I didn't have much choice. I sold my old washer and dryer and had the person show up with a truck to transport it, and then did it again a couple years later when I bought a new refrigerator and sold the old one. In both cases, they were just honest people in need.

Everytime I've sold "trendy" consumer electronics, fad items, or collectibles though, I've always met with the person somewhere else, for fear of a situation like yours, or due to the possibility that the deal might fall out and an argument or fight may ensue over the price or terms. I met a guy once to sell some older action figures and he immediately started trying to renegotiate and lowball in person, and started screaming at me in a shopping center parking lot when I just quietly began putting my stuff away and refused to acknowledge his offers.

Nevertheless, since setting different price points could be misinterpreted as the company valuing certain characters more than others, we came to the decision to set an MSRP that would return a profit from the amiibo platform as a whole. I just mentioned in my presentation today that we will also sell card-format amiibo products. By taking advantage of the shorter delivery time and lower productions costs for card products, we would like to further expand how amiibo can be used in yet more play styles. In addition, our development team has been testing various forms of amiibo other than plastic figures. We hope we can propose amiibo products in various forms in the future."
