We have a chain called Bargain Hunt Superstore here in my town.  I'm not sure how many areas they cover, but they buy damaged merchandise and such from big retailers, and sell it in their store for much less.  They have been a great place to check for Skylander and Infinity figures in the past, but today they came through in a big way...

If you have one in your area, they are definitely worth a look for those of us who open all of our Amiibos anyway.

Lol at compare @ 8 bucks. Obviously they haven't compared the ebay price for a DDD.
 
I already got one online and I have work so I will not be going Monday.. BUT, if I was, I would be there probably no later than 7. That's just me rather being safe than sorry.

When Target has their release, I will be there at least 3 hours prior to opening.
 
I've been gone for a good three weeks since I failed at gamestop preorders. Do we have an idea of when the US release is now that I'm seeing photos of them released in Australia?
 
My stupid Toyrus said they have nothing for tomorrow. No card, no information and so will no have preorders tomorrow. They said customers are going to be pissed, but they don't know anything.
 
I just don't get the logic. I could understand slightly if this was for the actual release of the figure. But fucking camping out for a pre-order, that still has a chance of not being fulfilled? Naw.

I'd rather just pay the 30-50$ import or scalper fee than do that

Seriously that's 14 hours of their life, even at minimum wage you could make enough to buy three on eBay in that time
 
According to the rep over the phone today, my local TRU is getting "less than 12, but more than 5" Greninja preorder cards.

Scary thing about it is, the same person responded with a simple "10" 2 weeks ago. Sigh, what happened in that time?

To be fair, you either do this or you don't get the amiibo. Camping out for the actual release will get you nothing because all of the figures are being pre-ordered.
