He's not wrong, though.

I kind of agree with him that the amiibo craze is probably the dumbest I can ever remember. Sure, people are entitled to buy and desire whatever they choose, but in the same token, people are also allowed to think things are asinine if they so choose.

Never got it this whole thing, and never will.

And that goes back to what I originally said. They created the demand, and now camp out in front of a store for $12 toys. Many of them being grown adults. No dignity...

Now I've got no problem with adults liking and buying this stuff, but camping out in front of a store is an entirely different thing.

Just curious, what is "camp out" worthy? I've never camped out for anything, but I've been camping and it's really fun.

Nothing in my opinion, but a $2000 television on sale for $500 with a store limit of four or so would be more understandable than a $12 toy. I wouldn't camp out in front of a store for anything though. At the end of the day it's all just plastic junk from China. I wouldn't pay $1 for these things, so when people try to tell me they have "worth" I laugh.

I am happy for you that you have gotten past the concept of worldly possessions. I sadly, have not. I can't explain why this whole process is frustrating and fun at the same time. You don't have to like something a person does, but that is no reason to be a dick about it.

 
lol Peter trolling again as always. Everyone has the right to decide what right or not right to camp for and what worth it or not lol and don't need a lecture on how to spend there own time or money. It don't concern you especially since no one ask your opinion of what they do lol if they asked your opinion then that ok but they didn't lol I mean if everyone gave there opinion over and over on same topic without being asked then this thread probably be filled with comments such as Peter a asshole troll who gets his rocks off on provoking and talking down on others on a site or Peter a doucebag or Peter the little Peter lol so should be lucky you don't ask for people opinion

Has anyone heard anything about the BB pre orders that lasted for a couple of minutes? By the grace of God (ok that was overboard) I was able to order the wave. I have not gone into FYE to get my pre order refund b/c that makes them not receiving pre orders real. I was concerned that FYE would not come through hence the BB w/ GCU preorder. It would be nice to know that I can go to TRU for Greninja and be done w/ this. I vow to trade Ike (I have a UK for my collection) and Jiggly (as long as there are no issues w/ pre order) for one that I do not have.

I missed out on the Best Buy pre order too(In fact I didnt know anything about it) so I wonder on Friday if amiibos will be available in best buy stores..I saw the best buy ad today and they don't even mention any amiibos, just the Splatoon game

Target's official policy is two characters per guest period. Not two of each. Be sure to contact your local stores and see what they are doing because some stores may not follow the policy.

I'm fine with that, as, thanks to me pre-ordereing most of the Wave 4 figures at Gamestop on April 2nd (and me already the Splatoon Amiibo that interests me from Wal-Mart), the two main figures I'd be looking for at Target on Friday are Jigglypuff and Silver Mario.

 
To be fair, what they posted was poorly worded to the max.

Still, I'd hope stores would have enough sense to limit to 1 per person. Especially on stuff like Robin and Lucina.

Yeah that would be absolutely ridiculous..why even bother showing up if the first two people in line get EVERYTHING..my city target said two amiibos per GUEST I hope the lady understood what the manager was telling her..at least doing it that way will ensure that I at least get something that day

I did get a reprint villager from play-asia on Friday.  His eyes are much lower than the OG villager, but still lookin' good.

 
That subreddit is a cheesy and petty place. It's either 13 year olds that are bitter about not having enough allowance or they're entitled adults upset that anyone else is buying their amiibo. I really only follow it for the tracking posts but the amount of bullshit you have to sift through is making me seek other sources.

there's also a problem with the constant downvoting, even if it's a "good" question, though there are repetitive questions that you can find simply by looking to the side. i still use it since it's a great resource with verified sources and constant tracking, which was why i was able to post on here when lucina/robin was in stock at WM.

the amiibo groups on FB aren't any better either. but then again, what online amiibo groups (or any online gaming forums, for that matter that suddenly turn these people in keyboard warriors) are good when there's amass of grown men fighting over these amiibos. i just lurk most of the time with the occasional trading.

so i am in a unique situation with my gamestop. the day of the marth and ike restock, i was already at the mall so it was no big deal to walk over and inquire if they had any. unfortunately, they didn't but they did ask if i wanted to be put on the "amiibo list" if they had any later on (and i assumed this was only for marth and ike). i got a call this week saying if i wanted to come in and pay ahead for any of the upcoming wave 4 amiibos. all i had to do with buy a gift card with the amount of the amiibos i wanted and come back with it the day of release and they will have me on the list. this is really strange. though i dont have a feeling they won't pull a trick considering this was the asm. if they do, i guess i can always go on tellgamestop.com lol. i ended up "preordering" ness and silver mario. lucina and robin were gone by the time  i got there. ill update yall. this will be interesting
