My amazon order of classic mario and zero suit samus was on the porch today in a box quite a bit larger than the amiibo so I figured they'd be ok. Turns out the bubbles on both figures were crushed in enough to wrinkle and distort the side of the bubble (mostly upper side) so that settles it I think I'm going to open the rest of my sealed ones and display them properly to where they not only look better but are actually usable if I feel the need. I honestly think they had to be crushed before shipping because the box didn't appear to have been crushed enough to damage them. Had air pocket spacers in there too taking up the empty space on the sides but box was just a inch or so deeper than the zero suit samus bubble and the classic mario bubble is probably an inch shallower than the zero suit one which is odd considering how much bigger the amiibo is. Happy the figures are not damaged though and zero suit looks far better in pictures to me. She don't have that shine to her like in the pics.

Just got back from a Gamestop that had about 15 pre-owned amiibo. Got to talking with the girl there and she said that one of their regular customers used to collect all the amiibo and then randomly decided to sell his Wii U and switch to X1 and he just traded in all of his amiibo which were basically all of the ones up until this last wave apparently. I of course missed that huge batch but there still were a decent amount to build a basic collection from that alone since I have so few.

They had all versions of Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi and Bowser. They even had Silver Mario, Toad and Shiek. She said they had Marth but when she pulled it out it was mislabeled and it was actually Lucina but still overall a really decent find and all for dirt cheap! Now after this sale I somehow went from 0 to 21 amiibo in a couple weeks o_O

I still am hungering for Samus and Charizard though and am holding out to get them for cheap somehow since I have been spoiled with this sale for each one only coming out to about $4.60 each.

Amazon is the worst on packaging. I've gotten tons of items from them where the outer box was perfect, so I know it was damaged before hand. Actually since February of this year, I've gotten over $200 worth of products from them for FREE. It started with those LE figure MM game sets, where I contacted them before shipping, and told them I had some open oreders and didn't want everything shipped together, as I knew the MM game set was in a fragile box.

Of course they swore they would be shipped seperate, and how they where now packaging everything well. I was like "OK", if you say so. Within 24hrs, I got me shipping confirmation, and sure enough, EVERYTHING was being shipped together. I emailed them and complained, and asked that my message be forwarded to a supervisor. He assured me that if my items arrived damaged, he would refund me for any damages and I could keep them for my troubles.

I got 5 items free in that order. If something had a crease, I said it was damaged(which it was), and I called out that supervisor on his promise, and he made good. When the Splatoon 3-Pack was first released, I got one for my son, and it was wedged in the box, but the top looked like it had come through a shredder(the outer box was fine here as well). I also got that one for free, even though my son was going to open it, and throw out the box, it was still a gift, and the box looked like ass.

I still get damages all the time, and for normal products I just return them for a refund, or a replacement, but for any LE item they can no longer replace, I contact them and complain each time.

That sounds ripe for an Amazon banning, though...

"My product's external packaging had a crease on the corner. Free NOW"

Not sure you're going to get the pats on the back you anticipate with that post.

I just got the Classic Mario from my local target. They restock one of Classic Mario, Ganondorf, Olimar and Zero Suit Samus for a few target around here. I'm just happy that I got one now. :D

Yup, the Target here now has 8 bit Mario, Samus and Olimar.

Guess it's a day earlier than believed.

A banning, for what? They sent me damaged items they can no longer replace, and I told them I wasn't happy about it, and they make good on the order, where's the problem?

Yeah, no kidding. Demanding free, not exchange?
Where do I state I demanded anything for free?

Damaged is damaged. I pay good money for "new" products, so if the product isn't "perfect", it is my right to exchange it for another, or get a refund. Looking for a pat on the back from guys on the internet, are you for real? That's a good one.

Entitlement is what is wrong with America
I agree, entitlement is a HUGE problem in America, and I've never ask for or been entitled to anything. I spend thousands of dollars annually at Amazon(hundreds monthly), and they offered me what they did because I'm a good customer. As usual, trolls on the internet see something they can't get, and complain that some one is cheating the system.

You do whatever you want but yes it can happen, and it doesn't matter how much you spend at amazon. Give them to much hassle and they can decide that having you as a customer is not worth it at all:

Hello,

A careful review of your account indicates that you've requested refunds or returns on a majority of your orders for a variety of reasons.

In the normal course of business, we expect there may be occasional problems. However, the rate at which such problems have occurred on your account is extraordinary, and it cannot continue. Effective immediately, your Amazon.com account is closed, and you will no longer be able to shop in our store.

All other accounts related to yours have also been closed. If you were to open a new account, it would also be closed. We will not accept the return of any additional orders placed under a new account, and we won't issue further refunds for those orders. We appreciate your cooperation.

Going forward, any questions must be directed to [email protected]. Please do not contact Amazon's Customer Service department, as they will no longer be able to assist you.

Best regards,

Account Specialist.

It's not going to happen. I've complained twice this year for roughly $200 dollars worth of items, that I requested to be packaged well before hand. They "promised" me they would do so, and if they didn't, let them know. $200 worth of goods, when I'm spending thousands, yeah that's not sound business.

The guys getting banned, are the ones who spend maybe a $100 a month, and raise all kinds of hell and issues over it. Send stuff back, complain and cause problems that aren't worth it for them business wise. Their not really loosing any business are a good customer banning those clowns. If your banning a customer like me, you'll soon be out of business. Like I said, THEY offered me the free items to correct their fuck UP!, nothing more, nothing less.

I don't know where reading my post, guys get the idea that I'm doing this daily, but I guess that's another problem in America, reading comprehension.

Over 200$ worth of free stuff sounds like a pretty big flag. Ontop of the fact it sounds like you are constantly complaining about shipping and asking for free items. I buy multiple items there each month, and I think I only had to contact CS like 2 or 3 times this year. And the last actual refund/credit I received was when Destiny came out and the Ghost Editions packaging were totally screwed up.

Seems less like you are shopping there for the ease of it, and more so for the inevitable screw up so you can ask for something free. Seems odd you would complain they had the worst shipping ever, yet keep shopping there and expecting something different.

Where did I said that you were doing it daily? All I'm trying to say is that it is possible to get banned by amazon and it doesn't matter how much you spend there.

Anyone know about how long it takes for them to reach stores based on prior reports of restocks?

Or is this really preliminary, like TRU literally have just sent the order to Nintendo?

You didn't say daily, but I'm not going to get banned unless that's the case. CS is there for customer support. I contacted them politely before hand requesting to separate my shipment and package it properly, as the items in question would be sold out and couldn't be replaced if they arrived damaged. That's what their job is, to handle customer issues and problems. They made promises that they didn't deliver on, and I brought it to their attention. Then they offered me a refund, and allowed me to keep the items, because THEY WANT TO KEEP MY BUSINESS! I know that's a foreign concept for some people, but it is how good businesses are ran.

Once again, I NEVER asked for anything free. They gave me the items for free since they where damaged and could not be replaced, what part of this is a problem? In 10 years I've complained maybe 3-5 times in regards to damaged LE items, and just this year did they start offering me the chance to keep the items, and refund me the full price.

Yes, they have the worst packaging EVER, and I tell them that weekly when they send me those packaging surveys, and I answer honestly. Yes, I shop there for ease of use, and when something arrives damaged due to their poor packaging efforts, I may send it back if condition is an issue, but if it's something where condition isn't a concern, I'll keep it and use it.

Like I said, I will NEVER get banned, because I'm not abusing them or the systems they have in place. I spend tons of money there, and they treat me as a customer they would like to keep. Anyone who runs a successful business knows as much, but I wouldn't expect anyone here commenting in the first place to understand that! My post did not mention asking for anything free, or DEMANDING I get anything for my troubles. Just that I brought my issues to their attention, and they made right on the problems.

Where did I said that you were doing it daily? All I'm trying to say is that it is possible to get banned by amazon and it doesn't matter how much you spend there.
He doesn't get it and never will. This is the same guy who thought it was no big deal to have his buddy the Gamestop manager breach policy and reserve Amiibos for him while other people waited in line for who knows how long and had no such benefit. He is literally the very definition of a self-centered and entitled person. People like this guy make it harder for the rest of us who want to be treated fairly (or at least reasonably) by retailers but now have to suffer non-responsive customer service and return and replacement policies that require swiping driver's licenses all because people like him suck up far too much time and financial resources from retailers.

Walmart sucks. My mario order arrived 2 days ago at the store. They couldn't find it and said it probably was accidently put on the floor and sold. My other order of the other 3 amiibos is pending shipment to store even though it says delivery by 9-17. I'm glad I was able to get them elsewhere.

Also was anyone told by TRU they won't price match Amiibos? I understand no bowser jr price match but how can they have a price match policy and not honor it on amiibos. The manager specifically told me this.

I always get that message when I try to use a Gift Card/ Trade Credit along with a Credit Card.

Man I hope that we get some kind of notice for those TRU restocks...I will gladly take a morning off work if it means getting Villager, Little Mac, and Lucario...

Ive tried Discover, American Express, Mastercard, NOTHING works..same message..both mobile and on Desktop never seen this happen before
I mentioned the trouble I have been having online this week when I was in the store the other day and the GS employee said that he heard they had bee transferring stuff and doing some background maintenance/upgrades on the website. Who knows if he had the correct facts but that would make sense since I have been seeing that error so much the past couple weeks.

Yet others have been able to get it no problem what gives??

I noticed Gamestop also has Wii Fit Trainer, Little Mac, Villager, and a few others as "online only" yet unavailable to buy at the moment.  Those Toys R Us rumors might be true and other stores might get them as well.

I hope that's true, if only to avoid the "TRU tax"
