My 2 Capt Falcons from GS shipped. Still can't find Little Mac.

About Fox, I also think he's gonna be discontinued, or at least, hard to find. I only saw two at Walmart (and non in a few other stores) today but didn't bother. Think that was a mistake.

My wife is now trying to convince me that I shouldn't open the amiibo's.  Doesn't she know that I would have to buy doubles so that I could open some?  I don't know if she's thought this through.  

 
I honestly don't know what I'm going to do with my spare time tomorrow now that I have the wave 2's.  Not like I'm going to find a Marth or Villager laying around town tomorrow.

Totally whiffed at four stops today. Walmart had the regular line up of original figs, Target & Gamestop had only Luigi from wave 2, and Kmart was a complete bust for amiibo.

GS guy said they got a few Pits and Captain Falcons, but only one Pit remained and it was on hold.

By the way, I didn't see a single Fox today. I truly believe that Fox is going to be the next figure from wave 1 to be hard to come by.

I know one thing in Vegas fox is as common as link or peach... I would say Mario but he's everywhere
 
Current situation:

WAVE 2: The only two I'm still looking for are Capt. Falcon and Pit, with me pre-ordering them from Best Buy as a safety precaution, although I'm hoping to find them in-store. Unfortunately, either the figures are put on the store floor in a period where I wasn't checking it, the stores only had enough for reserves, or it's in a location that's a distance to my home (with me not wanting to travel that far only to learn that they sold out).

WAVE 3: Hoping to order the exclusives when they become available again (tried to order Shulk today, but was deleted from my order when I tried to check out). However, I made sure to order Ike and Mega Man from Gamestop to ensure that I do get those figures.

 
Marth is going to be my great white whale, I feel.  I still have an order for him coming in from France, but something about that order makes me think that it's going to fall through.

 
Loving the 5 off coupon from gamestop to use on common wave 1's that I don't have. Also thank you so much to whoever suggested a hairdryer for taking off those ugly gamestop stickers.

 
Captain Falcon is in stock on Gamestop. Ordered one. Debating pre-ordering Bowser, Toon Link, and Shiek from Amazon then the other 4 wave 3 ones from Gamestop since Amazon is out of stock on them. Ugh. My wallet cries.

I would pre-order the other 4 from gamestop, save time and money for the month, then hit stores for the other guys I'm sure they might be hard to find like some people and Diddy kong but you know it will show up.

Did just that. I'm only missing Marth and Rosalina of the impossible to find. I have a trade lined up for a WFT and Villager that I hope comes through. I didn't even want to collect these things. The stuff they add to the games are really small and stupid to me but, god damn Nintendo just knew how to reel me in with these.

I'd be worried someone who would do that for no markup would likely have some ulterior motive. Maybe they're desperate for social interaction and are going to talk the ears off of anyone who meets them? Like the weird kids who hang out in the anime section at Suncoast and try to strike up conversations with any stranger who happens to wander by. With 8 of each amiibo this guy is going to spend hours meeting with folks for no real gain. That's kind of odd, even if they're just trying to be nice.

Exactly same boat except I'm OK without the Trinity but I got into it for just the Mario set next thing you know I have doubles of wave 2 rarities waiting for Rosalina to come out I'm just hoping the next wave or exclusives will be smooth and easier but I'm really happy Nintendo is getting back into the game and hopefully making a profit.
 
I know nintendo is making a profit but they seem to be just as braindead with their business as usual. As a longtime nintendo fan and defender, I just don't understand anything they do anymore. Nintendo should have bowed out and pulled a Sega and licensed their games out instead of releasing the Wii U so that it could be a next gen console for a couple months.

That's besides the point though - it seems like the reason everything is so hard to find is just because nintendo isn't supplying anything. I don't know anyone in charge of ordering amiibos but I just assume stores are the ones who order the quantities of them.. The amount that sells at the store doesn't matter to Nintendo because they've already shipped and sold them to the retailer, after that happens nintendo won't see another dime until the retailer orders more. I just wish I knew how the ordering is done, like if it's the same crappy model as Heroclix has for it's organized play kits- the example would be "you have to order 2 cases of Mario to get 2 Captain Falcon figures". Can the retailers even choose what ones they want to order or do they just click "order some amiibos" and hope for the best?

Yea it turns out he was actually a Scalper and lied to one of our own for some reason

Even after the guy gave this scalper a good deal on a Falcon last week, its okay though cause meeting great people in this chat who are all willing to help each other out with no markup, just pay price + shipping and such

Plenty of us meeting IRL to do exchanges and picking up Pits for each other, great community so far
