I will be at target 30 minutes before store open. I will be sitting in the car unless someone show up and waiting in the line. I get 1 for myself and 1 for my niece. She already have zelda, peach, samus. She will get Marth whenever it re release.
 
I usually get up early as fuck anyway to go running on the weekend mornings but if I stand there too long im going to feel like ive wasted time and start thinking about importing or ebaying one...time is money in my mind. Ill be at a Target an hour before opening but not sure I can bring myself to do anything earlier than that.

Austin is a fairly affluent city and there are alot of people who have money to burn on collectibles and non-essential items though, so I fully expect to see at least someone there early, maybe a nerd collector or two but likely a flipper, if CL is any evidence there's alot of them here.

How have been the shipping times? My Lucario was supposed to be delivered today, but nothing. There is no tracking, but my order says that estimated day of arrival was Jan 29th. I am also supposed to get my Rosalina tomorrow, Jan 30th. Has anyone gotten their amiibo the day Amazon.fr estimated? If not, how much longer did you wait?

I am running into the same thing. Sometimes customs can be a pain. I haven't lost anything yet, but...

I am in 90% the same situation. Only difference is that both my Lucario and Rosalina were supposed to be here today. I will not get worried yet, but I am aware of the situation. I really did want to see Rosalina today and not have to go to Target on Sunday...

You guys are going to be disappointed with stock tomorrow at TRU with Lucario in So. Cal.

Some stores got low counts while very select few got a nice chunk, a lot of hurt feelings.

@gnoh, I thought you said they were implenting iD policy at NW store, this guy has 4 sets, must have a big family.

I love the CPSIA page.. so useful to know link is being reprinted. Although fox got reprinted and that sold out fast.

 
Hey guys im here in NYC and i spoke to an employee here at the Union Square BestBuy , i had a Metaknight pre ordered and i asked him when will it be available for pickup and he responded by telling me February 1st , he didn't tell me how many figuresthey estimate will arrive but judging from his tone he implied that that had mainly enough just for preorders only  , a  walk in may be possible but judging by the fact that this is in union square you better be there quickly , with finesse

didn't we already go over this.. it wasn't months to preorder. Bestbuy/amazon was only up for a week or 2, gamestop was the only one that lasted about a month, but who wants to buy from gamestop.

elsa and anna were out of stock for a few weeks when they were first released. The difference is disney keeps making more, nintendo moves on to the next wave.

 
I just got off the phone with a few more stores and I'm hearing the same ol' only for pre-orders or that they only got 4 in. Apparently those cards did come out in CA but not before getting pulled when TRU started charging $999 for them. Probably just easier to import it, I'll wait till everybody floods the market tomorrow, that will bring the import prices down.

Just out of college retail employee here [clothing; not electronics/big box/etc, thank GOD], so I don't work strictly Monday-Friday. Luckily I have off tomorrow and Sunday, which is perfect for exclusive hunting. That being said, I've gone amiibo hunting during my lunch break a couple times in the past couple weeks if I 'needed' to.

I pre-ordered 2 at the same TRU store. They do a decent job there of putting them aside. Even with that being said Im going around the time they open to make sure they don't mess it up.

 
I'll have my Japanese Meta Knight tomorrow.

I won't have to leave my house.

I paid $30. Money well spent.

My German Locatio and Italian Rosalina will be here within a week.

All my Amiibos are out of their boxes and the boxes are on their way to a landfill.

Which stores did you call and how did some end up with a much larger chunk?

I went for the Pikachu XL last year. I got there about 15 minutes before opening and there was no line. Stayed in my car till it opened and got 1 of the 3 systems they had. Pokemon is much bigger than Rosalina so it should be easy to get. Also I live in the 3rd biggest city in the country so not in the middle of nowhere and still no one was there when it opened.

i went for the pikachu XL, 3 of us in line at open I got there 5 min before. We all fast walked to electronics and had to fight over the 2 consoles they got.

I think this rosalina release will be more well known than the pikachu XL though. My guess is 5-9 people at open. I would just feel awkward trying to race everyone to electronics over a stupid toy.

The two targets near me I called to ask if there was a limit and they both said no, so I guess it depends on the target on whether or not they will have a system.

Can someone explain to me how people are going to be waiting outside stores on a weekday at 9-10AM? Don't people work? 

(I say this sort of tongue in cheek, because I work remote on Fridays).

If your in San Diego I'm way out of your area, I called stored in the Inland Empire. I know the Chino Hills store has 20+, stores in Riverside only got 4, Redlands claims 4 but I hear from others 5 or 6. I couldn't get exact numbers when I was verifying stores but most stores were under 10 or haven't updated their system to show stock.

Im in NYC and the gamestop employees told me February 13th , same day as the New 3DS XL U.S. Release , seems like a good way to sell the figure now that the new 3ds has built in amiibo functinalilty

I have one ordered on eBay through TRU but I'm not holding my breath for it, I think the Tyler Store and Canyon Spring stores got some descent stock, I know the Arlington store only got 12.
