Whats everyone's thoughts as to the rarity of the 7 normal (non exclusive) figures for wave 3 ?

Safe to say Bowser, Toon Link, Sonic, and MegaMan will be quite common. But could King Dedede, Ike, and Shiek be the 'big 3' for wave 3 ?

My money is on King Dedede for certain. Ike is almost certain, and Sheik is a maybe.

Thoughts ?

Unless Nintendo changes up the distribution amounts in response to the first couple of waves, I think you're likely to be correct.

I pre-ordered 1 of each of wave 3 from Best Buy, just in case. (Personally, I'm just getting one of each character for the family and I to use and play. I've never been much for flipping, just don't have the time between family and work.)

I would wager Nintendo upping the production numbers for Wave 3 since more and more people are probably trying to cash in on the trend now. 

 
I actually went into a target today to pick up a wii u for a gift and at the register the Paul Blaurt security cop was talking about how he picked up all of the Diddy Kongs and Little Macs at the store.

Seeing these toys in person made me not want them though, just doesn't seem to be even worth 12 bucks to me and I've never been a collector.
 
I wouldn't be surprised if the Mr. Game & Watch amiibo is this year's Club Nintendo platinum award. In the same way Xenosaga was GS exclusive (giving them the Shulk exclusive), the Game & Watch DS galleries were Club Nintendo exclusive.

If I had to pick three those top my list. I think a lot of it will depend on how many wave 1 and 2 figures are still stocked in the quantities they are. If they scale back on the core figures then more will be supportable but it you want 2-4 pegs of each core character still then something has to give. Highly unlikely the market will support that many Mario, Zelda, and Kirby characters at the same time if some aren't cycled out or shipped in limited quantities.

I want a custom amiibo of my personal Mii character as a platinum reward.  I know that's way too much to ask of Club Nintendo, though.  I'll probably be another game I could've gotten 3 times throughout the year in standard monthly rotation again.

I hate to say it, but you're giving Nintendo way too much credit. While the group statue that one year was plat, the Luigi's Mansion statue was not and it sold out ridiculously fast. However, I wouldn't be surprised if it is the plat reward - I really hope it is!

I am sitting on my 1500 coins (there is no way the exclusive amiibo sells for more than the Luigi statue... right?... RIGHT D:) and doing plat again this year, just to be safe. It's ridiculous but I'm not going to left holding my wang, missing one f'ing amiibo because Nintendo hates its fans, apparently.

I'm still in need of a villager, lucario preorder, and captain falcon. I figure I'll grab a rosalina as soon as it pops up. Hopefully my local retailers will have Captain in stock at launch. But the others... just waiting.

As for an Amiibo wish, I'd love a Mike Jones amiibo. But that would never happen.

Is it just me or did these only get stocked on the east coast? Got mine no problem and I'm in PA and the other guy on here was from NJ.

Oh I am sure people are being dishonest about their intentions, and normally I would be open about believing that, but I am choosing to have faith in the good of the people in this thread this time. Mostly because I find this thread useful in keeping me up to date about these silly toys that I want for some reason. I would have not seen about open pre-orders over the last week and change without this thread.

At the risk of sounding like a nuisance, Captain Falcon hasn't popped up anywhere yet, right? Since he and Ike are the only ones I want, I have the feeling I'm never going to find him in time.

After almost ten TRU, BB, Targets and GS that had nothing except Zelda at two stores, I stumbled upon a Target who had Diddy and Mac in the back not quite on the rack.

I would really prefer use the GCU discount but after Marth and Villager I don't trust BB to get them in. Still watching out for them to get them  though.

I kind of irks me that there are like 60 Little Macs on Amazon for 33. Every time some one buys one up to try to profit, it just makes those who just want one to drive further to find it.

I'm not going to "judge" someone for working supply and demand, and a seller can't make someone buy something at a mark-up, but It's still annoying.

I still remember going into TRU during a clearance and a guy having dumped ALL the games in a cart so he could go through them at his leisure and flipping out at me going through "his" cart. Ever since then I've always been bothered by the flipping market
