I really wish that Best Buy would take away the "add to cart" button on the three amiibos. I can't help but periodically punch in my zip code for disappointment.
 
So, I really want a Pit Amiibo for my personal collection, I can't drive all over town, and can't seem to find any retailers online selling them at you know, retail prices.

I'm going to wait a bit to see if more come in stock (or if I get any in my Xmas stocking), but I'm afraid I might have to resort to Ebay.

fuck it, if I'm going to have to order from Ebay, I'm ordering one of the import Amiibos from Japan. Because dammit, if I'm going to pay an arm and a leg for something it better be something coming from the other side of the world.

Personally I'm not worried too much about not finding a Pit yet. It seems very few stores have received any yet, mostly fye stores for some bizarre reason.

My guess is that in the next week or two it will become about as common as Falcon or at least Mac or Diddy. Just my guess though... :)

Nothing much in Madison, WI. Target in Fitchburg has Diddys and Luigis, though. I stopped by Toys R Us to pre-order a Lucario in store, since online seems to be a disaster. They didn't even have tags out for Falcon, Pit, Diddy or Lil Mac.

Like I said earlier, I found just one pit at a Fred meyer friday morning around 10am. I checked the other two Freddies in my area but no luck. I'm going to Fred Meyers today for some groceries and ill have them check pit in the system to see how many stores received it in the inland northwest.

did online chat with TRU and they couldn't really tell me anything (except that his preorder was cancelled too)

called customer service and after sitting on hold for about 25 minutes, he told me that all customers that had a preorder cancelled should be seeing an email on how to resubmit the preorder. said that it was a glitch that the preorders were cancelled and they are currently trying to figure out why.

also sent an email to them, but the auto-reply says to wait 7-10 business days for a reply.

 
Well 2+ hours of searching this morning after church and I came up almost empty handed. The only silver light for me was that I found a Lucario pre-order card at one of the Toys R Us stores I checked out. Other wise I can't find any wave 2 rares.

 
That inventory tracker that was on reddit is working again. I assume it was simply down for maintenance or something similar, as it's been over there for a while now and the middle of the night would be an odd time for it to overload.

 
just missing Pit from wave 2, and no idea what I am missing from wave 1 as I have asked pretty much for nothing except amiibo for Christmas. My mom just randomly showed up to the house with a Captain Falcon this morning.

I have ordered from the UK in the past and haven't gotten additional customs taxes before. I guess I will see when it arrives.

 
How accurate is the reddit tracker? A target near me is reporting 8 Marths but when I called the store I was told they don't have any...

Supposedly good. Maybe it is in the back. If it is a 15 minute drive or so I would chance it.

That being said if you manage to get an extra one I would make it worth your while

It's tempting but also 40 miles away... Not sure if I could talk my wife into going grocery shopping 40 miles away. If I do go and find some I'll grab an extra one for you.

As accurate as Target's back end website tracking. The problem is that (as we discussed) it's either spot on or completely effed up and there's no middle ground. Like all of a sudden their website tracking will show that every store has multiple of an impossible to find item and none of them do.

The Target in Mansfield, TX is also reporting 3 Marths. I live in Wisconsin, but my brother is in Burleson, TX. I had him go check this morning and they said they've been sold out for weeks, and nothing is in the back. I'm guessing the box is either lost somewhere in the back or they walked  out the store.

 
Anybody had success getting Target to sell you the Wave 2's from the back? I went last night and Luigi wasn't on the floor but he shows in stock using that tracker.
 
Target Tracker said they had 3 Villagers, so I called and was told they don't have any and the item is discontinued.

She actually said they "have" 4. Assuming inventory discrepancy.
 
Just a heads up for those hunting amiibos at Walmart. I was wandering the clearance aisle at my local store and found a WFT by herself. It was marked down a buck too.

I checked the amiibo display, loaded with Mario and DKs.

GTFO. I haven't seen anything except wave 1 figures at any Walmart. Not to mention, when Walmart puts an item on clearance they just take four cents off MSRP and put a red tag on it.

Ridiculous find if you're not trolling (but I suspect that you are).

I could definitely see Nintendo doing Pokémon amiibo. But they'd probably sell them in packs, like you have to get four shitty Pokémon for the one awesome one that you actually want.

Well, I did see Tom Nook on the amiibo display art at Walmart, so it's not too unbelievable(maybe he'll add on to the MK8 AC DLC). I'd like to see a Mario game where you can play as the individual Koopa kids through Amiibos, or just do the crossover rom hack idea with the ones we've got in Mario Maker.
