I have pit at pre-ordered at Best buy. I really hope they come through. I did try today to do a Web in store offer for pit as a backup but the noob employee said it wasn't available.

I'm still pit-hunting.

I have 1 in the mail from Wal-Mart but other orders haven't shipped. I still haven't seen him in the wild.

Going to best buy opening on Tues to see if they have wave 2 for sale.
 
I'd bet most of the wave 1s sell out eventually and don't come back w the exception of Mario and pikachu.

I haven't seen any Fox for a week.
 
why the fucking hell do scalpers affect this? That's like saying Mario's gonna be a hot ticket item once scalpers randomyl decide its worth a lot

 
I think the only "safe" amiibos are the Mario Kart 8 costume ones : it's essentially Mario Kart 8 DLC, and people who don't give a shit about Captain Falcon or Samus will probably buy them just for some neat costume for their Mii's.

Nintendo unintentionally (maybe) caught the ear of every scalper when they said they would be discontinuing Ambiios due to shelf space as future waves are released. Limited/discontinued/retired are every Scalpers dream word and is a greenlight to hoard and resell.

My guess would be a no since they tag stuff in the store. My Little Mac and Diddy Kong do not have stickers as they were pulled out of the box and set aside for me.

The Captain Falcons I ordered on Dec. 22nd arrived yesterday and they did not have price sticker/tag on them. If you placed a pre-order at the store, you can ask the manager to make a note to NOT put sticker on them. Get to know your GS manager and assistant manager, it will pay dividend in the long run. You can bring them a box of chocolate. :) Believe me it works.

Planning on hitting Best Buy first thing in the morning, then Target, GameStop, and Walmart in that order. This is all assuming I don't get the ones I want from Best Buy. They are all in the same shopping center so it's a quick trip. I'm already calling that Best Buy will have at least two I want, GameStop will have none, Target will have some, and Walmart will have none. Walmart here is a 24/7, so I'm assuming at midnight they'll be up for grabs. I need my sleep so that's not happening.

no tags on the ones i ordered. Wouldn't care anyway...mine are all out to their boxes...including Villager and Marth...I'm only missing Wii Fit Trainer.

Very lucky to have them all located together. I'll be heading to Best Buy first as well. Here's hoping they have what we're looking for!

 
Everyone's BB preorders changed to "preparing order"? I can't remember if my Little Mac made it that far before they cancelled it or not.

 
Just got two more amiibos for my collection today. So my collection now consists of Peach, DK, Diddy, Little Mac, Link, and Fox. Kirby, Zelda, and Falcon are en route to me.:)
