Funny how Walmart still has the MP10 bundle still in stock. This shows that the bundle is eithe: not that scarce or that the stupid fucking resellers are not going to preorder from WM since they pre-authorize your card unlike newegg and Amazon and those lame asses don't even have money in their account to preorder 5 and have a $300 preauthorization go on their card.

Or they think its just not going to be worth it to resell b/c its just an amiibo and game that are going to be available separately. If they can preorder multiple MM 3DS systems from BB which preauthorizes, then they can afford a little $60 game bundle.

I didn't preorder from Walmart because Walmart. Unless it's a really good deal or the only place that you can get it I'd rather order someplace else.

Amazon says "For a limited time, the only way to play with the Mario Party Mario amiibo included!". So it seems like they might wait a little while b/c NoA likes to fuck their customers over like that. Other regions like EU and JP have him available from launch it appears, since the single figure can be preordered from both regions.

What do you mean, no? it says specifically on the Amazon listing "For a limited time, the only way to play with the Mario Party Mario amiibo". Nintendo of America hasnt said anything so there is no official word on them having the single character at the launch of the game. Also, Amazon has pages listed for each of the figures except Mario, though they havent started taking orders yet.

And to follow that up, usually when NoA doesnt say anything then they are doing it purposefully...kinda like the regular N3DS which isnt coming here, at least not for now. As stupid as that is, thats exactly the type of shit NoA does b/c they know their fans will eat that shit right out of the palm of their hands.

The Nintendo World Rep I was talking to when I pre-ordered indicated that its more a convenient bundle than anything else. I specifically asked him if the Mario inside is going to be limited in some way and he said that it wouldn't be. Now of course I don't know if he's saying that because Nintendo World gets every exclusive as well and was meaning that I can just buy it off the shelf when they get their amiibos but nothing he said seemed to indicate that you're getting anything more than a $4 discount and a cool box.

Also if you look at promotional images, it's the same Mario amiibo they use. I have a hard time doubting this amiibo will be exclusive to the bundle.

Get the bundle if you can to save a few dollars, that's all.

it will be available with and without the bundle... at a later time. Amazon is probably right that the bundle will be the only way to get mario for a limited time. Probably a few week or a month or 2.

Lol which is what I am saying...I dont think many think its going to be exclusive to the bundle. It looks like here in the states its going to be limited to the bundle for an unknown amount of time...more than likely to try and boost says of the actual game, which from the posts in this thread, its already been successful. On another note, I trust the word of the Nintendo rep about as much as I do newegg.

It doesn't make much sense for them to restrict inventory like that only to sell the it at a discount. That's like having a scalper buy up all 90% of the inventory of MM LE and sell it at a slight discount on ebay

Wow lol. If it means pushing more of the $50 game with a limited amiibo to help sales...it makes perfect sense. Lol sounds like you only shop at GS or something b/c most all places and things that do bundles do not just bundle stuff up and sell it at MSRP. Usually bundles relate to some type of small discount. IE the monster hunter N3DS...why are they selling it for 229.99 when the system + the game would be more like 239.99. Its pretty common sense that usually there is a small discount when doing a bundle.

Just received an e-mail from TRU saying the date on my Sonic pre-order was bumped from 2/1 to 2/13.

Still no word from them about the rest of the Wave 3 guys I have pre-ordered, even though a lot of TRU stores seem to have already had them and sold out. Checked in-store twice and it's still a wasteland of Kirby, Pikachu, Mario, and Peach.

Haven't heard anything from GameStop about Shulk being ready for pickup either.

Its just kind of like a free game promo, its called marketing to improve sales of a game. I mean why did they give away a Zelda, Pikmin, and other games for free when buying MK8? Its a 2.99 discount man, is it that hard to believe? I dont think there have been many bundles with a timed exclusive item, sorry you cant grasp that concept...leave it to NoA to start the trend.

Because its really me feeding the scaplers...not the fact that the preorder lasted what, like an hour or so on Amazon when it was put up? legend of zelda windwaker collectors was sold for $10 more and it was the exact same thing as this, it had an extra figure. The MSRP of the figure could have been $12.99 for all we know, it was definitely more expensive than an amiibo. This was an exclusive they could have charged $20 more, but nintendo does what they feel like.

They had the consumers by the "balls" why didn't they profit off of that?

Nintendo had actually announced it as a $54.99 MSRP, it's just that GameStop went with $59.99. So they were originally just going with $5 more.
 
I say just forget the stupid "waving" Mario and use the fireball Mario for Mario Party 10.  Nintendo Direct said they will work exactly the same...unless you just absolutely have to buy every single amiibo just because they exist...just a thought

I would assume everyone who knows what amiibo do already know that, or anyone who watched the Nintendo direct should as well. The point is that people are not 100% sure what the bundle amiibo will look like, and if it will be different than the separate one to be released in a few months. Combine that with the great scalper surge of 2014 and people are getting anxious over stuff they legitimately want.

I bought one, but I can always cancel if it is nothing special (99% chance it isn't). And yes there are people who want every amiibo. (help me I am one of them) Watching the thread for information about sales and availability (it is a sickness and I can't stop) in order to be up to date on their, hopefully, collecting hobby. (kill me so it stops)

 
I was typing dpci numbers on the scanners at target and the keys weren't working. Afaik it works when scanning. Maybe target disabled it? I wouldn't put it pass them because of the amiibo and target clearance debacle or maybe i'm not doing it correctly?
