Anyone looking for a sheik in Las Vegas at Target:

I just bought one after going to multiple locations and being told various stories at each one.

Sheik is definitely being held along with Rosalina and is street dated in the gun for 2/1 but rings up at the register fine. You'll need to be very persuasive in getting an employee to actually 1) look in the street dated area to find it, and 2) actually try to ring it at the register.

I also was able to see Rosalina inventory at one Target in particular, and wow....I'm assuming we're all going to get it come Sunday, based on the "on-hand" number I saw.

TRU @ Meadows also confirmed to have Lucario in store on Friday. I'm assuming Henderson will have it as well.

Not really sure why I felt so motivated to acquire a sheik since I have one preordered with GameStop.

Whatever.

I'm glad Vegas had it on lock like that but your so right I tried convincing two stores in Vegas today and with no luck figured I'll get her on Sunday and just do a tr*** for her

Yes. Of Mario. Their hugest franchise with characters they feature in half of the games they release.

I don't know why you are arguing this. It's common sense. It costs money to develop things. If they develop too many things, they over-saturate the market and lose money. One single extra set of their most popular franchise with characters that will likely be usable in tons of future games is not going to over-saturate the market. They don't want to be selling "Smash Bros" versions of the wave 1 amiibos years after Smash Bros came out. It's branding.

 
I wouldn't fret the Super Mario pre-orders... it seems kinda for pre-orders and Amazon probably has a very conservative estimate.

I'm pretty sure Amazon just has everything labeled as coming out Feb. 28th, so they're listing when you'll get it based on that date. I've noticed they tend to do this a lot (get the ship date horribly wrong). Most likely you'll get an email in a few days that it shipped out :p

everytime there is a new mario game, there will be a new set, period. They are not going to keep 1 set for a long time, who will buy them? A few months from now these things will be sitting on shelves if there isn't changes made or new poses done.

I doubt we are getting a new Mario line this year. I'm hoping that the new Star Fox game gets an Amiibo set, and I feel confident that the upcoming Zelda Wii U will be getting their own line as well.

Wait, what do you mean "Similar to Mario 64 and not Super Mario 3D World"? Did you not like Super Mario 3D World?

Considering the 3-year gap between major Mario titles (Galaxy in '07, Galaxy 2 in '10, and SM3DW in '13), I expect we'll see another Mario potentially in 2016, or delayed a year for the launch of their next console in 2017.

I was just browsing their site and it looks like Toon Link is in stock at a ton of them. And Bowser at a handful. Sheik for some reason showed a lone store all the way in Kansas City, MO :p Kind of far, but I guess that's the only store that has her? :p

I wish they'd update the date for Meta Knight.

 
I thought I was jealous of those of you grabbing Toon Link from TRU before, but now Amazon is telling me that my Toon Link won't arrive until March 2nd, over a month away while you guys are uploading your Link's into Smash Bros... I mean, staring at them sit in their box?

Yes, I've ordered from them with varied results. Sometimes they'll process an order but if its too large/heavy they'll cancel on you at a much later date without telling you why. Other times they'll send it to you (like my Bayonetta 1st print edition) and it'll mysteriously never show up and no one anywhere will be able to tell you what happened to it - after waiting 45 days they'll offer to resend you another and then you'll randomly get a refund a week later. And then other times everything arrives perfectly without issue and you're a happy camper. Those have been my experiences at least.

Speaking of this I been kinda curious why Nintendo called them "Super Mario Series" amiibo... You think that hints at the new game, I'm probably just over thinking it but I'm just shocked it wasn't called "Mario Party Series" just for they could make more characters without much fuss

Well it's there focus game and super Mario was so long ago just seems weird thinking about it... Lol thinking about that, what's on the base, still the smash symbol or something else?

They are basically identical, but Brickseek gives the inventory quantity. I find the mobile site to be the most convenient, as you can save each product-specific inventory page as a bookmark.

I doubt I'll be able to go out at 9am or whenever Target opens and grab one:/ I got off work "early" (10:30) and sped my ass over to the Eastern target (I work right by GVR).. Asked the guy if he could look up an item for me and he asked what it is and I said an Amiibo. He asked which one, I said Sheik and he said he already had someone ask and it shows 4 in the system but he couldn't find em.. And that was that, he didn't go look or anything so who knows if he was just being lazy or if that really happened. Oh well.
 
I really hope Best Buy doesn't ship my single Meta Knight amiibo order in a bubble mailer or put in a box with no padding or incorrectly placed in the box.

I just noticed all the stores showing Sheik in stock yesterday are now, after overnight, showing her out of stock. I find that really hard to believe. I wonder if they added a street date to her listing during the night.

 
Hmmm checked Target inventory this morning for Shiek, now says store info unavailable for every store. Just yesterday it shows whether it's in stock or no stock
 
Looks like Toon Link and Sheik are preparing order status at Best Buy. Hopefully they arent preparing this order for 3-4 weeks like my wave 2 orders lol.
