Saw 2 bowser "misprints" when I was at TRU earlier today - both were missing paint on a few fingers.  Probably should've picked them up and made millions on ebay right?

It will throw off the instock counts if they do that. It will show one less for the amiibo they typed in and they will be short of the amiibo they gave away.

My target is releasing them 2-1. 1 per guest. Reason in the limit of the product is due to all the calls coming in. No holding of any amiibos. Had a few people callin already asking how many they can buy.
 
Just called 2 TRUs. They had to hold back their laughing when i asked if they can hold a Lucario. They both only got 4 and there's going to be a line at both.

Collecting these things is effing great!
 
The UK Nintendo website has a release date of 2/20 for Meta Knight.  Maybe that will be the same for the US version?  I haven't really kept up with this thread but thought this was interesting.

 
Well I went out to ship an amiibo to another friendly user on here and decided I'd run some errands while I was out. Went by TRU on the offchance I'd find something rare that would have miraculously appeared since the last time I checked [never happens]. I was about to go straight to the post office, but Best Buy was less than a football field away, so I decided to swing by. Amiibo rack only had commons, no Fox or any of the rares from Wave Two. I decided to walk by the video game/Skylanders etc mini stockroom and peeked through the black plastic 'curtain' strips hanging down to see which amiibos they had extra of. To my shock and awe, the only figure they had back there was a PIT. I considered walking back in and grabbing it, but as I stuck my head in to see if there was anyone in there, an employee who was stocking a speaker shelf nearby asked me if I needed help. I told him I saw a Pit amiibo and was just looking for someone to grab it for me. He did, I walked to the register, my heart beating very fast. I guess I was worried they'd scan it and it would say something like "PRE-ORDER, DO NOT SELL", etc. 

I was also trying not to get rung up by the heavier set neckbeard looking guy working one of the registers. Not to profile or anything, but he seemed like the type of guy who would have set that aside in the back for himself, especially since there was plenty of empty space and spare pegs on their display in the Nintendo aisle. He ended up being the first cashier to become available, so I had no choice. I gave him my rewards/GCU info before he scanned in since the registers in my store don't seem to take the discount off if rewards info is entered after the amiibo has been scanned. He seemed surprised that GCU worked on amiibo, then he looked at which one I was buying and seemed very disappointed.

I kind of feel a smidge bad if it was his, since I also work retail and know how let down I would be if I set aside a rare item to buy after my shift, but I saw a unicorn in the wild and had to pounce.

Well if Lucario is being sold tomorrow, which I called my local Toys R Us and they stated that he will be, I have no shot in getting him as I work from 8-5. If any lucky CAG member out there wants to find one for me I could trade them one of my extra Caption Falcons.... Other than that I am screwed........ I really wish they were sticking to 2/1/15 as that is a Sunday and I had it all planned out on going to Target at 8 AM, TRU at 10 AM, Best Buy at 11 AM and sending my GF to GameStop at 11 AM. Now its ruined............ This Amiibo shit is dumb as fuck!

Seems there are some TRU stores enforcing the 1 per person policy. There'a chance you can prob run out and there may be one left for you around lunch time if that's true.

If you planned on going by Target and TRU, you don't really have any reason to head to G$ or BB since neither of them are getting their exclusives or anything you can't get from the first two stores.

Just thought I'd save you a trip.

This reminded me of my most recent BB trip. My wife and I were at a store a week or so ago, we were looking at the Amiibo/Skylander stuff, we found an isle display, the portable ones they keep in the middle of the big isles. Anyway, there were Skylanders on it, but it was blocking off a section of the store they were remodeling, with some other displays. My wife slipped to the other side of the display, found a Kaos trap. Granted, we don't need it since we got the Dark Edition pack, but neither of us had seen a Kaos trap "in the wild." I'll admit, part of me wanted to snap it up and ebay it, but the trap actually had bits of plastic on it and you could tell something went wrong with the mold, so we put it back in it's hiding apot for someone else to uncover.

I only get an hour for lunch at 11:30 PM EST and the closest TRU to my work is 45 minutes.

 
Really hoping to get Rosalina on Sunday. =_= Will be there right when they open in the morning. Figures, I somehow managed to pre-order fruggin 5 Lucarios (thanks to all the Toys R Us snafus) and 2 Shulks but Rosalina is causing tons of stress. Hoping some folks will be open to trades just in case.

Sucks cause I just want her to join my Peach on my desk at work. XD

I'm planning on getting a couple extra Rosalinas to trade to friendly CAGs who weren't able to get one. If I'm not able to get a Lucario tomorrow when I'm there for TRU's opening, I'll happily swap you for one of your many pre-order Lucarios.

Am I asking for trouble by doing 2 return rebuys at TRU 2 days in a row for 2 different orders?

I got 4 amiibo last week at tru when the first wave 3s hit and would like to get the $44 deal.

But I'm doing the same tomorrow when I pick up lucario as #4 to add to the 3 I picked up yesterday.

2 orders, 2 seperate receipts, 2 different stores.

I don't see any problem with that at all .. because as long as your item still within the returns date then go ahead do it.

 
On second thought, I'm not going to bother, these are all doubles now that best buy shipped the same ones to me today and I'll likely just return em all or pass them to a CAG in need.

No sense for $10 that I'll likely return anyway.

Don't mind me, just amiibo frazzled.
 
Hmm...no warm and fuzzy on my Rosalina order from Amazon.fr.  It shipped on time, but tracking has been a dead-end (typical, though) and so far a no show.  Has anyone else experienced the same?  I have never had an issue with Amazon de or fr, but there is always a first time.

Personally, I just don't want to have to break-out my Walmart riot gear for Sunday morning at Target, even though this may end up being more common than expected.

I know you're not doing this anymore, but be careful with TRU returns. They demand a driver's license for all returns now, even with receipt, since they're part of the Retail Equation now (same as BB). That shouldn't be enough to flag you or anything, but who knows?

 
My Pit amiibo arrived from my online order of gamestop does anyone know why the plastic around is so thin compared to some of the other amiibos? is it all pits or something else?

 
It'll be interesting to see what the situation is at Toys r us tomorrow morning.  My store says they have 'tons' (3 boxes)  but they're also expecting a quick sellout.  It should pretty a pretty good gauge of how things will go at Target on Sunday.

I looked at brickseek.com all sheik is out of stock. Yesterday all the stores I called we can't sell it to you till feb. 1st. Now no local target have it instock. What the heck! Targent team members and they family buy them all !!!!!!!!
 
That feel when I want to go to bed early so it can be time to go to TRU for opening already, but at the same time, afraid of missing out on random re-stocks on the last couple I need or pre-orders of Smash Wave 4 going live while I'm asleep.

Refreshing this page and /r/amiibo every few minutes - what have Amiibos done to me!?

Dude, chill out. Target updated their systems to street lock Sheik until the 1st, and pulled it from their inventory.

Not super hardcore about Amiibos here but I do really want the King Dedede. Did some poking around online but I figured you all were the ones to ask, general consensus us that he'll be released later in the month right? Not this weekend?
