After you download the app on your Android device, you just need to log in once with your Amazon account on said device and you can buy from the browser forever.

If you don't have an Android device yet, PM me and I'll help you out.

The 900 in free coins from the photo apps is nice. Think I'll apply it to the GTA one and get the 2400 coins.

Can't shake the wasteful feeling that I'm buying something only to just toss it immediately in the trash.

Well, you can delete the apps from your account after you've purchased them via the Amazon website.

But... there's no trash can, recycle bin, holding zone, so there's no waste. They're digitally disappeared, with your coin balance as the only evidence.

 
Feel kind of guilty since I am not interested in these photography apps and will never use them. On the other hand, Amazon is providing this deal without me actually installing the apps so it's not illegal. Count me in.

I'll take more suggestions on what to use my funds on. I was thinking of using them to help me finish Candy Crush, but if you guys have any better ideas ... I'm all ears.

There's nothing physical to throw away, but there's just the sort of phantom limb feeling of being wasteful.

Like I'm using a buy 1 get 1 free burger coupon and then throwing the other still wrapped burger in the trash.

Just think of it as a pre-order until you get a device that is compatible. Or at least that Amazon realizes is compatible because Google Play says my One is, but Amazon says it isn't.

I'd seen some comments (somewhere) that indicated available devices later expanded for some games on Amazon, I believe GTA VC was one of those. I'd seen some developer comments discussing snafus correctly identifying device compatibility on submissions to the Amazon AppStore.

I was actually just reading (OK, youtubing) about app submissions and device compatibility. Seems like it would be a simple fix on Amazon's part. However, I find it odd that Amazon and Google Play would have differing device compatibility databases.

I don't know for sure, but I'd guess it stems for Amazon's Android/FireOS implementation... they weren't able to use all the usual Android APIs, they wound up reimplmenting some and totally scrapping others iirc. I assume that'd be part of the Market/GPlay APIs that are closed source that they simply scrapped. This is also why some apps need Kindle/FireOS specific versions.

 
Tried ComiCat and none of my comic books came up. Looks like this app is for collecting internet bought comics - not comics bought through different apps. Oh well.

Are any of you having problems downloading from the Amazon app store? I bought SwiftKey and it's stuck on "download paused" status along with Candy Crush. There's no way to stop it if I wanted.   It's been like this since yesterday.

I'm assuming it may have used my non-coin Amazon App credit ($5 from that coupon last week and a little more that I had)?  All the same to me since App Credit = Coins for all practical purposes but I have no way of checking since the old MP3 Balance trick doesn't seem to have a spot for Android App credit.  If it didn't use that then I really made bank.

In terms of seeing actual app credit in money (not coins) go to any app. For example:

And click "Redeem a gift card or promotion code & view balance" and it'll show you any balance you may have for Apps.

 
Many thanks.  And it did, in fact, use my "cash" balance as I had guessed but I still have $1.01 left in that so I obviously had more "cash" credit than I thought.

Promo Coins are good for a year, most App Credit expires much sooner.

Yeah, that's why I've been trying to get rid of my app credit for coins ASAP.

Problem is I've got $6.01, and Amazon won't let me use $5 of it until I place an order to use the $1.01. Any $1 or $2 apps give back $1 or $2 of coins?

They both have IAPs so I'm assuming neither is actual free for the whole thing.

Yep, however, I'm guessing it coud be a limited time freebie for Amazon.

I'm only saying that because season 2 sells for $4.99 on iTunes. Then again, it doesn't have the usual crossed out original price, so maybe the first episode will always be free on Amazon. Probably worth it to at least buy it, in case they do decide to change the price to $4.99.

I'm sure it'll show up on Google Play soon.

I hope they bring Back to the Future to Android as well.

I got the offer for the book.

Amazon also had a bunch of kids kindle books for a $1 a few days ago as well. (looks to be gone now)

Anyone know how to get Amazon video credit? (to buy things through the Prime video store)
