The old thread hadn't been updated in quite some time, so I decided to make a new one. If you happen to see a sale not listed in the OP, go ahead and post it and I will be sure it's added. The same goes for anything listed that has expired as most sales have no set time frame, let me know and I will remove expired sales. Thanks!

The two Borderlands games aren't compatible with anything I own, which would give me the sads if I didn't already have Borderlands 2 for Vita, PS3, and PC.

The Borderlands games are Shield optimized which means they won't work on any Android machines that aren't Shield products. But Borderlands 2 has been much cheaper than $7.49 on Vita, PS3, and PC too. If anything, it's a pretty good showcase of what Shield can do.

None. The only thing you can buy is orbs, and orbs are used for the random draw on who your characters are. However, you can get orbs for completing levels (Normal, Hard, or Lunatic), get orbs for login bonuses, and get 10 free orbs from My Nintendo. Therefore, unless you're trying to get all of them or get a specific character, you'll be fine with just the ones you can get normally. I actually wouldn't mind a small payout to guarantee getting a specific character at 5-star, but that's not an option in the game.
Well I haven't paid anything but I also got extremely crappy draws with my orbs. Cruised through until chapter nine and then I got stomped by the two knights and wyvern rider. I don't have a magic user that can do enough damage and the only other one that I have isn't worth fuck to train up to that level because he won't do jack either. So I can grind grind grind for ten levels in the training maps to come back and then get some wins or mess with other characters or wait out some orbs gifts or whatnot and try for a better five pack drop when I get twenty orbs and then try to get better characters. So many draws without a five star and so very few four stars.

On the other hand my kindle version has drawn a five star on every five pull of heroes I've done and a lot of four star pulls as well. In fact it's rare that I get a three star pull on it. (Of course now, the rng will hate me). I suspect that when I eventually quit messing around and get to chapter nine on it, I'll have no problems.

Interesting. Is that something new? I've never seen the strickthrough for a price and have Install on Google Play. I thought once an app was free, it had to remain free on Google Play or has that changed? Do they now allow temporary freebies?
Its very recent, saw an article a day or two ago they were introducing the strikethrough since it helps with app sales when people can see that it is in fact on sale

Google Play still sucks in general in terms of finding stuff even compared to the iOS App Store, but I like the new sale functionality. Wonder what made them finally decide to allow temporary "free" sales? Also like the fact that it states how long the sale is, like "Sale ends in 7 days", similar to PSN and XBL.

Call recorder license ACR by NLL on sale $0.99

One for the horsemen:

HorseWorld 3D: My Riding Horse - free (down from $5.99)
Just curious. With a Tivola game like this that normally comes with ads, do you download the game and unlock the full version after launching the game or does just starting the download process trigger the unlock. I can't dl now but will in a few hrs.

The $5 off of a book order is back as part of the play store's 5th anniversary. It's a big bubble on the play store home... Can't miss it!

Doesn't look like there are any game deals associated with the anniversary as of right now.

I did this and then later got offered $3 off a $5+ book while just scrolling down the main google play page from a pc web browser. Ymmv I took advantage of both offers on 5.99 books I had been wanting to check out.

Wow bloons demands a lot of permissions when you open the app. I just declined and the game still works ok? Anyone else usually just reject their permission requests?

Anyone try silver bullet with a moga controller yet?

It works on other Android devices. Check the link to see if it's compatible with yours.
Sorry if my post was too terse and didn't make sense. I was wondering if anyone would recommend the game to a non-sheild owners.

I get the sense the shield crew buy most any game that supports it given how much the system costs and how few games support it. I recognize that may be an inaccurate view, but that's the sense I get.

Thanks

And I didn't mean to seem confrontational. Retro City Rampage is a highly rated game that is at its heart an 8-bit Grand Theft Auto clone that's been on several systems. It's really enjoyable with lots of humor, so most people seem to like it. And remember that if you don't like it, you can uninstall the game and get your $2.99 refunded if you do so within 2 hours of purchasing it on Google Play.
