Animal Crossing: City Folk - Gen. Discussion and info

I think I ended up making 60k thanks to the kind Doctor.

I had about 320k invested though, so it's still a bummer. I still plan on investing heavy again tomorrow- but if i get burned next week, i'm moving back to fruit.
 
Turnips 132, not much an improvement over Doctor, but at least I don't have to make multiple visits to his town when I can sell it at my Nook's. =d

When I was in Lud, I noticed that his Gate was different than mine. Is that random?

Also, dumb question 2- How often does Redd's stock change?

there are 3 different gates the grey castle, the pink castle & the barn which i have & hate which i think are given at random

also i believe redd gets new items every wednesday

turnips going for 136 in my town opening gate for awhile if anyone wants to come over....
 
I been playing for a while now but I have not went online yet. Anybody want to go online? I want to see how it is like, and get some new fruit as well.

What name/town you input does not matter. Once you visit each other, the correct names will be added.

I think redd changes stock once a week. I bought all of his stock the other day and he isn't going to be open again until the 17th.

Shit.........I wish I was here for yesterday, and Ill have to TT for the fishing tourney, but fuck, it's pure shit over here. Last night central MA got hit with an ice storm, trees are all over the place, and power lines all over the ground. 300,000 homes are out of power in MA. The governor says the earliest for places is monday, but my area got hit so hard Im not going to school next week I think. Im writing this from my uncles to say why I might not be on for a while, and that Im going to have my gates open all night (though it will appear right after 6 EST then) starting in a few hours. Im also putting all of the stuff I dont want at the gate, and have a full orchard and fountain going. Hope to see you there, my OP will be updated later (sorry :( ) and I have a lot to shit to deal with. I will be on the computer though, and on CAG, until morning.
 
I won my fishing tourney with a 46.7 inch sea bass. I turned it on with 15 or so minute left before it ended, and none of my other sea bass were bigger, but i did catch two tuna fish which i cashed in, instead of having them measured and eaten. My prize will be mailed to me. :)

Oh and in case anyone was wondering Nook was buying turnips for like 35.

Won my contest with a 42.8 sea bass. I seem to have no large fish in my town at all. Haven't had one good catch outside of a koi in the last several days.
 
I caught three tunas today but won the tournament with a sea bass. Take that Vesta! I put the tunas inside my house which now has 6 tunas, 2 lobsters, 2 coelicanths and a few other fish :lol:


I'm watching a movie Joe. Maybe later tonight.

I love catching the tiny fish because they are always worth some solid bells.
 
I sold my turnips for 77 in my Mom's town. I decided to take the loss because I knew I wouldn't be able to play again until late tonight. I won the fishing tourney with a 105.5 tuna that I had been saving for a week. :)

Thanks for the reminder. I don't usually go to the city when Redd is closed :lol: And I know I should have bid higher, but who's the one who outbid me for the chess piece??? :shame: That was the only new piece of furniture I needed. Maybe there will be some better items this time.

It just means you are playing with a standard screen size, not widescreen size.

What does SDTV have to do with the pictures?
I'm on an HDTV and I'm set to 16:9.. but my pics look similar to Beckys. :whistle2:k

I think it just comes down to screen size, the quality of the screen captures are going to be the same quality. Its not going to depend on what kind of tv you have.

it makes a difference. That could be it. I assume you mean the quality and not the ratio similar to Becky, otherwise I'ma come to your house and kill you for stretching a 4:3 image to 16:9.
