Amazon tends to offer lower everyday prices on their anime, and often run sales on Funimation items routinely. Keep track on your favorites or check your daily deal's for a possible 5% off of some based off your history on Amazon. 

(Also, I'd also recommend to check out Amazon's top 100 deals in Anime Bluray/DVD as they tend to show what's popular, or what is on sale.)

Known by many for their bad customer service, they often make up for it with their lower prices on a lot of their items. This and they routinely run sales specifically for anime.

I highly suggest when you order from them to only order in stock items, and not ones that are backordered. Save yourself the displeasure of having to deal with the headaches. And patience is a must with these sites.

Well, we can factor in a number of reasons...1. Its been out of print for a long while, and that 3 year sale price mention is kinda lol. 2. It hasen't had a re-release/re-licence, so yeah. Would be nice if Sentai would bring it back or something (since it was ADV), or someone else like Discotek would re-release it, since you know, classic stuff is their thing.

 
this is abit off topic, but any of you here watched Soukyuu no Fafner: Dead Aggressor, is it even worth watching? i only ask because the sequel for it is coming out next year.

Well the important thing is I found it for a mildly reasonable price.

It's one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

 
started a paypal dispute or resolution x3 for the 3 times i was charged and no order confirmation. hoping it goes through. if not ill have to email the terrible cs at fye.com. 

how can you charge someone 3 times. i hit pay and place order 1 time. even at that my order wasn't placed. perhaps someone was looking out for me by not letting me buy the ova collection

Hmmm, I placed two orders at Funi but it says that a lot of them are "return request received" and I still haven't gotten an email about the second order yet which I placed later in the day.

Is this happening to anyone else?

BTW, Spice and Wolf looks awesome.  It's nice to able to see your computer screen without having to wear sunglasses because the light bothers you that much.

People really liked Sekirei that much? I watched the first season and thought it was terrible. Maybe I just don't like ecchi anymore ha...

 
Didn't RS have a really good deal on the sets a few years ago? I believe it was called the Spirit Gun Bundle?

EDIT: Here it is. I hesitated on it when it was up and didn't grab it. Came out to a little over $16 a set.

Yeah I'm having the same thing show up for some items but not others, I contacted support, I'm hoping to hear back soon as it's concerning.

Anyone else have this issue?

 
I'm gonna buy the Koihime Musou seasons. Is there any reason I should get the Ultimate Collection instead that has all the discs in one case? I heard that they just stack the discs on top of each other, so I thought it might be a better idea to buy them separately. Any difference in bonus features or stuff? Or is it just the same discs, different packaging.

Shit. Nevermind. Otome Tairan sold out already. I doubt they'll restock.

If it helps you (us technically LOL), I just got my order confirmation for the 2nd order so I'm just beginning to think that their system is having problems processing all of the orders.

I will let you know if anything changes though or if it continues for a few days - then I'll contact support too.

Sekirei is not for everyone, and I'm not an ecchi guy even though I've bought a good amount of it these past few months. I do think Pure Engagement is a much better season though.

 
Hm Funi sale wasn't bad. Snagged HLP S2 from them HLP S1 from Amazon, which in total is a decent price for the # of episodes in that series. Got the overpriced C: Control and the nicely discounted and awesome Good Luck Girl. $80ish for 3 anime series feels good.

Yeah you're probably right, I'm OCD with things and like to know for certain lol but hopefully it ships soon :). I got my order confirmation an hour or so after I placed it myself. Also any idea how long it usually takes Funimation to get things shipped out? I picked the two day as it was only $15 on a $400 order.

Probably about 2-3 business days (may be longer considering they had such a large amount of people ordering (which they are in no way used to lol)) I ordered early and got my confirmation in a couple of minutes (on a crappy Internet connection btw) but from what i hear the server was very slow navigating and during check out especially during the late afternoon and night when people were just placing orders.
