Amazon tends to offer lower everyday prices on their anime, and often run sales on Funimation items routinely. Keep track on your favorites or check your daily deal's for a possible 5% off of some based off your history on Amazon.

(Also, I'd also recommend to check out Amazon's top 100 deals in Anime Bluray/DVD as they tend to show what's popular, or what is on sale.)

Known by many for their bad customer service, they often make up for it with their lower prices on a lot of their items. This and they routinely run sales specifically for anime.

Kinda sad Maoyu did not have english dub track plus few more titles as well. I hate buy it now and a year from now they re-release new version.

Thanks for the list Squarehard. Just put in my first order, bought Golden Time 2 and the Food Wars Bundle. I really enjoyed Golden Time while it was airing and can't wait to rewatch it. I like the fact it takes place in a college setting and that it has a nice conclusive ending

Is Golden Time more comedy, romance, or drama? It looks like it might be an interesting series, especially since it's a College setting instead of High School - BUT, I really dislike comedy, and much prefer a romance drama... so if it is more comedy than anything, I wouldn't be interested in it. Something like Toradora has about as much comedy as I can tolerate; fortunately that one had more drama than comedy in it.

Ok, I really had to laugh just now, how ironic - in my post above, I was going to type that I "much prefer a romance drama, like NANA," but I left that last part out... so I was watching some Golden Time episodes on Youtube this morning to try to answer my own question, and who shows up in two of the episodes already, haha!! Now that kind of humor I do like - I about fell off my chair laughing both times!! :rofl:

I guess I'm going to have to get this series, now... it does have a good amount of drama in it, more than I thought it was going to have.

I could be wrong, but I heard golden time had a supernatural twist at the end that kinda came out of nowhere and ruined the show, so I never watched it

Is the twist really out there and does it ruin it?

I guess some people may have interpreted that way because the way the second half of the series ended, but nothing to do with supernatural twists. It's one of those situations where

things just magically wrap up nicely for the main characters

, but it was also fairly predictable as you watch the series unfold, so it's not really all that much of a twist as some people would make it seem like.

I think the backlash is mainly just because people were unhappy with the latter portion of the series, and the vast difference in the tone, and seemingly packed plotlines between the characters that some people felt were rushed.

I still enjoyed the series, but not everybody's cup of tea.

It's possible for it be psychological, considering Banri's condition, especially at the end. He could've just imagined everything.

I wouldn't say it ruined the anime, maybe disappointed some people but it was an overall fun ride.

I am going to stop ordering anything that comes in a slipcase or artbox from Amazon. I've had to make returns so many times that this is just ridiculous. My Ranma volume 2 came in the mail in an actual box with air packets. Ranma volume 3 came in an envelope. As expected, volume 3 sustained damage to the corners and the box was smashed. I got my replacement in the mail today and the same damage was there but the top looks like it was scraped against something because the blue Blu-ray banner is completely white. I had the same problem with Game of Thrones a few months back. It took three tries until Amazon got it right. *sigh* I guess it's strictly Rightstuf for me.

I don't ever order from AMZ anymore. They used to do really good but the last I dunno 3 years or so their packaging has gotten worse. I used to get decent slipcovers and slipboxes but like you all of them are daamged now. BB is the same way but I would rather support them because at least the don't PM everyone as pass it off like they are selling it for the cheapest. I mainly stay with RS because like so many others very seldom do I ever get bad stuff. Sure sometimes the slipcovers will be a little messed up but not nearly as bad as AMZ.

I can't remember the last time I've bought anime from Amazon.

Not just the lack of sales, but quality control in general has just been awful.

It's like, even when it's packed well, and there couldn't be any shipping damage, the box sets are still dented, or have some sort of a cut across it that they didn't catch before sending it out.

only a few dollars more on amazon. like, 5. This rightstuf sale seems to be just a way for them to get rid of excess stock. No real deals here and a poor selection all around. They're just getting rid of the trash on their shelves. Last year was better. Hopefully friday or next monday will be better

I find it annoying that Jubei-chan Season 1, which was decent on its own mind you, was rescued, but Season 2, which is vastly superior and has the best sword battles I have ever seen in anime, is still in limbo.

If you're into Sci-Fi then you should definitely consider picking up Time of Eve. The blu-ray also has a lot of cool extras, which is rare for anime releases. I have the deluxe edition and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Yep, go ahead and miss out on it if you want - I own both the Regular and the Deluxe Editions of Time of EVE (and the Japanese ONA import as well) just because the series is so damn good - heck, I pledged $300 in the Time of EVE Kickstarter and got my Deluxe Edition through the campaign, then I bought the Regular Edition from RS afterwards just to have as a backup copy, lol... I even got a set of eight "Are you enjoying the Time of EVE" coffee cup and saucer sets a three Evlend tin coffee canisters through the Kickstarter, because I'm planning to setup a Time of EVE themed cafe in the snack bar area of my basement theater room and serve Evlend coffee to my theater guests... :D/

They've done one past couple of years, but it's been pretty much dead there this year thus far.

Last year they had already done a huge clearance sale prior to the start of the BF sale, but this year it's been pretty much nothing except a crappy 20% off code, but that's about it.

Hopefully they will have one again this year, but starting to look pretty bleak...
