Amazon tends to offer lower everyday prices on their anime, and often run sales on Funimation items routinely. Keep track on your favorites or check your daily deal's for a possible 5% off of some based off your history on Amazon. 

(Also, I'd also recommend to check out Amazon's top 100 deals in Anime Bluray/DVD as they tend to show what's popular, or what is on sale.)

Known by many for their bad customer service, they often make up for it with their lower prices on a lot of their items. This and they routinely run sales specifically for anime.

I just got a chance to look at the Funi sale. Looks like Space Dandy is the best deal there since the second set comes with an artbox (if my eyes aren't mistaken) along with other stuff. I'll probably pull the trigger.

Some good ones in this day. Baka to Test is a great deal, but DVD only. I'll wait for the whole thing on blu-ray. Tegami Bachi is actually the one I'm drawn to. Only problem is lack of blu-ray :( May never be blu-ray, so might pick up the DVDs.

Don't hold your breath on Baka getting another BD release. Once titles move into the S.A.V.E. Collection that is usually it.

Slightly OT question but anyone know a good/cheap place to get those great clear plastic dvd cases like the ones that Geneon used to use?

Need to replace some cases I got from GoHastings lol

 
Yea, Casetopia is pretty much the #1 place for empty cases. There are a few random listings on eBay that may be slightly cheaper, but it's not consistent.

Physical doesn't make as much money anymore, nor would it be possible to get it printed in time with the Japanese release. There's also a reason why almost every manga Viz acquires gets a digital release long before a physical version is even thought about.
 
ah finally a day I add some stuff to my wishlist on rightstuf as they finally added some decent light novels.

not that they are that much better than a yen press sale would do, but alas I don't recall the last time I saw a yen press sale lol.

Possibly interested in getting Maken-Ki and a few of the Accel World novels. Though, at this point, I already spent too much on GoHasting's recent sales. Right Stuf didn't get much of my money this season.

 
Seriously RightStuf? $41.99 for D.Gray-Man Season 1, Season 2, and Dragonball GT? $29.99 for Girls Bravo? $38.99 for the FUNimation parts? $41.99 for Soul Eater Meister Collection when the whole series is a few dollars cheaper? Over $20 for Gunslinger Girl Season 1? Wow...just wow.

 
The Accel World and No Game No Life light novels are a little tempting, does anyone know if either of them make it further than the anime? Not all that interested in picking them up yet if they won't get me to any new material.
 
Does anyone understand what hastings deal of the day means?  The email says 8.99 or less all used blu-ray movies priced 29.99 or less.  I'm a little unclear as to what is on sale.

It marks any Used Blu-ray $29.99 or less down to $8.99. Obviously, this is useless if the Blu-ray is already below $8.99.

No idea which, if any, anime qualify.

Bought Ranma vol 3 from both Amazon and BB when it was $20 but each time it arrived beat up. I give up. I'm just going to buy from Right Stuf.

Oh, by the way, I noticed the Ranma Blu prices are still the sale price from a few weeks back with 1-5 at $30 and 6-7 at $35 (or was it $40? I don't have the site up on my phone).

I don't know about accel world but no game no life novels 1-3 cover what is covered in the anime with a few differences, volume 4 that comes out in a few months is where new content will start.

I haven't found anything that qualifies. I've tried various anime and regular blu-rays and none of them were marked down to 8.99 when moved to the cart.

I know that. All the stuff in my wishlist is used. I haven't found a single item that qualifies. I don't think I've had it be this spotty before. Not a single thing I've added to my cart has been marked down.

I believe Volume 4 starts after NGNL S1.

More than likely this is one of those sales that is only qualifying the bigger mainstream US stuff or movies that Hastings has 50 copies of.

I wanted to let everyone know that I don't hate Richard Cox as Male Ranma nearly as much as I thought I did.  He's still no Sarah Strange, but he's not bad, either.  Season 4 is still a decent season, too, only one super-annoying new character, the cat ghost.  Season 5 is when it gets ridiculous (martial arts tea ceremony, Martial arts Shogi, and at least 5 others, oh, and for some god awful reason Asuza Shiratori returns).  Season 5 is also when they start slowly replacing the cast with sound alikes, the first one is Kodachi (first after Ranma I mean), and the next one I noticed was Nabiki.  By the end I think every female character's voice is replaced by a sound alike except Ukyo.  I think the male cast's voices stay mostly the same.

Are you talking about the english dub? Or do the japanese actors get replaced?
