 Anime Steals and Deals

**It is highly recommended you check the latest posts in this thread as they will often have the most up to date deals. I will attempt to reflect these sales in the OP, but always check the latest posts.**

Rightstuf

Rightstuf runs studio sales every week, sometimes even twice a week. These range from anime, manga, and even artbooks. Prices are decent, and Rightstuf has amazing customer service. I highly recommend them for that alone.

You can save an additional 10% off a majority of their items (Including preorders) by buying their Got Anime membership

Amazon

Amazon tends to offer lower everyday prices on their anime, and often run sales on Funimation items routinely. Keep track on your favorites or check your daily deal's for a possible 5% off of some based off your history on Amazon.

(Also, I'd also recommend to check out Amazon's top 100 deals in Anime Bluray/DVD as they tend to show what's popular, or what is on sale.)

DVDPlanet / Deep Discount

Known by many for their bad customer service, they often make up for it with their lower prices on a lot of their items. This and they routinely run sales specifically for anime.

I highly suggest when you order from them to only order in stock items, and not ones that are backordered. Save yourself the displeasure of having to deal with the headaches. And patience is a must with these sites.

Cheapassgamer

Maybe you will find something here on our own forums! We have a thread dedicated specifically to Anime and Manga for sale from fellow Cags.

Received my DBZ Blu Ray's from Funimation.

I see why people have had bad shipments from them: They are not shipping out of Texas like the Z-Store did; they have a distributor in Wisconsin. I had my box divided into two shipments (Season 2 was on backorder and arrived yesterday) and the bigger box only had one paper inside so there was plenty of room for the discs to move around and possibly get damaged. Fortunately, my discs were all fine. Season 2 was actually packaged well and was wrapped multiple times.

And yes, I also got that free Attack on Titan book.

if all that matters to you is boobs or gore... no.
if you like good story, characters, ect... then yes.

it's competitive poem reading and it's a ton of fun lol.

it's basically a shonen shoujo sport anime with poems as the focus :p
Oh sounds interesting picked it up along with Food wars S1 PE

Not really the place for it, put your pitchforks away haha, but if someone is interested in my spare copy of Gundam Thunderbolt Bandit Flower 4K/Blu-ray copy, shoot me a pm!

HIMOUTO! UMARU-CHAN PREMIUM BOX SET is $49.99 for the next two days
https://shop.sentaifilmworks.com/products/himouto-umaru-chan-premium-box-set?utm_source=Social&utm_medium=Twitter&utm_campaign=holidaySale-UmaruPBS

sadly free shipping is at $50... so without a filler item I was looking at $7.88 in shipping.

looks like highschool of the dead ova or burn up are your best choices for filler.
Damn. Wtf. I bought the previous bundle thing for $90... Wow... I’m kinda upset but I kinda had a hunch that this would happen...

I could be completely wrong about this but I thought I remembered reading something on one of the anime forums that the sentai shop from their website and rightstuf are actually the same store. Meaning that rightstuf fulfills orders from sentai shop. Again I could be wrong but does anyone know if this is true?

Sentai uses Rightstuf as their warehouse/fullfillment. They're different stores, but both ship from Rightstuf. Sentai also uses Priority Mail to ship out, while Rightstuf usually uses media mail.

I'm tempted by Umaru-chan, any other recommendations for filler (it doesn't have to be like super cheap, just a decent watch and a good deal)

Nothing too ecchi, which eliminates a ton of shows, I know.  Actually I'm going to look for something to watch with my daughter.  Maybe I'll rebuy Nadia for like the third time.

Yeah, the only thing holding me back from getting it is: wasn't that just on sale right before Umaru-chan? Thanks for the recommendation, though, I'll look into it.
the premium was, you could go with the non premium :p

my love story is sentai right, that is another solid one. though I imagine that premium will go on sale in the next 15 days.

The LE for Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress Season One is currently the same price as the standard edition on Amazon ($43.49): https://www.amazon.com/Kabaneri-of-the-Iron-Fortress-Season-1-Blu-ray/dp/B076LW35NB
The LE actually looks nice now that there are more details, glad it is not digipak and has an actual artbook instead if dinky art cards.

also wolf children and samurai champloo are also easy recommendations :p they are all solid titles on sale.

I have a question. Does anyone own Summer Wars on blu-ray? If so what size is the case it comes in? Is it a blu-ray size case or DVD size case? The reason I ask is because I have some anime that is on blu-ray/dvd and it came in a DVD size case which always bothered me for reasons of how it looks on the shelf with my other blu-ray anime. For some reason I thought I remembered seeing Summer Wars in a DVD size case but I could be wrong and I am hoping I am.

Thanks! Finally picked up Black lagoon, evangelion 1.11 and 3.33. Now to get 2.22.

For anyone who hadn't dappled in those particular series, the Amazon daily deal was aces. A lot of really good material there for fantastic prices. I have been an anime fan for a while, and had already acquired pretty much all of those series. The lone exception was the much more recently released My Hero Academia, which I naturally picked up.

Stupid question, I really liked the old berserk show from the 90's and I didn't mind the newer movies, but I'm trying to find it if the new series is worth buying? Cause I haven't watched it yet and am trying to get a feel for it

The new anime is not good. The animation is jerky, the art overall looks oddly drawn in many times, especially background characters, and it skipped many important pieces from manga, which can leave you confused. Sad, really.

Gintama was the only one I cared about, I just bought it along with Vice Principals S1.

Haven't really gotten in on any obvious price mistakes from BB before, so idk how it'll go.

Please tell me this isn't a trap. I will click the crap out of my mouse if that price is real even as mistake and can't be undone.
