Another day, another TF2 server!

I've always wanted to play around with my own game server, so here it is! I actually just wanted to donate some money to another gaming site, but decided I would contribute indirectly with a TF2 server bearing its name.

Right now I have it set to 24/7 Dustbowl, because that's how I roll. It also have Mani's Admin Plugin, but I kept most of the extra shit off, except Quake sounds (trimmed down and replaced with announcements from Unreal Tournament 3 instead).

That is all. Hopefully one of these days I will see it peak at 20/20... hopefully. I plan on pumping money into it for the next couple months, then I might start a donation drive on the other site for support.

Some of us at Allgames might try to set up a gaming night. Not sure when, but when we get a date set I'll post here.

Unless CAG gets a date set, then I'll do the opposite.

Alright. After looking at the results from the form, a game on Friday night at 8PM Central should be good enough for most people's schedules. I'll also put alltalk on so that you guys can trash-talk when you crit someone with your cheap-ass Soldier rocket.

We might have another game on Saturday depending on Friday's number, but it might be a little earlier if my clan (mostly Euros) decides they want to play.
 
Hey guys, just built myself a capable gaming rig and was looking for some people to play some TF2 with. I'm fairly new to PC multi-player so I've been sort of bouncing around servers trying to find a good one.

You guys going to try and play some tonight?
 
Yeah, sorry about the connection. I bought the server with the idea of being able to give Euros (what my clan is mostly comprised of) a decent ping to it.

I didn't recognize anyone else from CAG on there.

I'm planning on having another gaming night this week, though I'm undecided between Friday or Saturday (both were equally-popular options in the voting).
 
I'm going to keep this week's game on the same time as we had last week: Friday at 8:00 PM US Central (I fail at GMT conversion).

Next week we might try a Saturday game.

The week after that, I might delay the game till mid-day Sunday or Monday evening, as that's when the Medic and Goldrush upgrades will kick in.
 
Yeah. The server isn't working out as I've hoped.

We had an event set up on Friday. I couldn't make it. Funny thing is there were several people asking me if a game was still going to happen a few minutes before it would start. I told all of them yes. But nobody actually joined the server. :(

We will give this another shot this week, and since I have my last exam on Wednesday I'll probably have a better chance of joining in.
