CAGiversary!
Looking into maybe ordering one but was hoping for some consumer feedback.
Wow, that sounds incredibly shitty. It makes me really happy that I decided against picking one up when I was looking at getting one.Mine broke last month. Been trying to RMA it for almost a month now.
Their tech support is awful so far. First time I contacted them I told them the watch did not turn on. When I emailed them about it, I got some generic response to check/clean the contacts, leave it plugged in for a few hours, and hold some series of buttons down. After I told them it was still unresponsive and it was not likely the cable. THey decided to send me another cable after I knew it was not the problem.
The cable showed up almost 2 weeks later. When I got it, of course, no chance. I emailed them back. After about 3 emails telling them there was no change and the watch is still unresponsive. I was asked to now send them a video of the new cable and unresponsive watch.
Really WTF? I wrote them an email saying how I was dissatified and how awful their support has been so far. They immediately sent me a RMA request. I promptly filled it out, and then it took them a few days to send me the RMA shipping label AFTER I had asked what is happened with my RMA.
Sadly, I have been without a working Pebble for over 1.5 months now and just recently have gotten a RMA shipping label.
Just keep an eye out for the bluetooth disconnecting a lot even if your phone is in range. That's what happened to mine before I had to RMA it.Picked one up yesterday, enjoying it so far, it's had some hiccups, but overall pretty solid. Galaxy Gear looks nice, but having to recharge just about everyday made it not a viable option for me.
I'll definitely keep an eye out for that, I haven't had any issues so far, but obviously that doesn't mean it won't happen. Maybe I should pick up a warranty for it.Just keep an eye out for the bluetooth disconnecting a lot even if your phone is in range. That's what happened to mine before I had to RMA it.
I really do like the watch, but I think I'm going to end up selling it once I get the replacement. It kills my phone battery life.
I'm curious to find out what the real life battery life is, I only didn't get the Gear because I didn't want to have to charge my watch every day, or even every other day.I have the Galaxy Gear smartwatch and find it pretty neat
