Anybody watch 'Rockstar Supernova'?

They annouced the winner of the show on Blabbermouth.com- I read the article by accident. Damn!

We will discuss when the rest of you guys watch the show...

You know, at first I admit I was a bit disappointed, but you know what, it's for the best. Dilana, Toby, Magni, Storm and even Ryan will all have highly successful solo careers. Lukas had the least shot of going anywhere, and we all know Tommy, Gilby, and Jason aren't going to stick with it once the promotional steam they're getting from it for their own projects runs out. Better to take this kid and run it into the ground.

Whipsmart...you are right. No need for spoiler tags anymore.

Oh and just for laughs, Here are some of the responses from Blabbermouth:

"The fucking Chickenhawk won??? You have to be kidding me. This show fucking sucked anyway, but he was definitely the most poseurific of the bunch."

"I guess I'll record a yawnerrific acoustic version of "Livin' On A Prayer" if that's what it takes to become a rock singer now. Dilana should've sat on his face bareassed as he slept and smothered him to death with her camel toe when she had the chance."

"Magni fucking slayed that little assclown. What a joke. As if they weren't already."

"That pathetic balding whiney bitch emo-goth won! That is so sad it's funny. Storm Large and the Balls

I thought Toby was the pick for sure. I kind of think they kept a chick in the running for the final two just to make it REALLY look like they were seriously considering a female lead, but that could be the tin hat affecting my thinking again.

As Xevious already mentioned, looks like they won't be able to use Supernova as the name.

Pretty funny after they just wrapped up an entire reality series hyping that name. I didn't pay attention last night (because I wasn't aware an offiicial ruling came down) but when they all took the stage with Lukas were they introduced as Supernova or did they not mention the name outside of the show title?

I quit watching when the two best people left (Magni and Toby), because I honestly couldn't give a good god damn who won between those two. Because, honestly, here's what it looked like after those two left...

i don't think lukas was that bad in the past couple of episodes...he has a great stage presence....Magni was solid, but not a frontman of that group. IMO, it should have been toby. Toby, Ryan and magni all were mediocre to poor in the first couple of episodes. Maybe if any of them had started better, it would have had different results.

Wow.... what a joke. like someone above said, as if they weren't enough of a joke already. ryan, toby, and magni better get some solo careers out of this because they were very good vocalists.

luckas was terrible every episode.

Here's an article from Blabbermouth

http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/'Rock Star' Winner LUKAS ROSSI Snubs Girlfriend At Afterparty: Video Available - Sep. 15, 2006 TMZ.com reports that "Rock Star" winner Lukas Rossi left his girlfriend out in the cold on his first official night in Tommy Lee's band (formerly known as SUPERNOVA) as he partied with the band at a local club. Lukas did come out and talk to his girlfriend briefly but then went back inside the party solo. Before leaving, an agitated Francesca told photographers outside the club she wasn't allowed in because Rossi wasn't supposed to be seen with a girlfriend. Watch video footage from TMZ.com.

In an interview with Canada.com conducted shortly after being declared frontman for the band that includes Tommy Lee (MÖTLEY CRÜE), Jason Newsted (VOIVOD, ex-METALLICA), and Gilby Clarke (ex-GUNS N' ROSES), Rossi was asked what his reaction was when he found out that he got the gig. "Overwhelmed, man, you know," he said. "But I wasn't going to walk away from this without being the singer, man. I was pretty determined." Asked if he knew going into it that he was going to emerge the victor, the Toronto native responded, "Well, yes and no. If the band chose somebody besides myself because it would have made the band what they wanted for their vision then I would step back and respect that. But, you know, I'm standing here now and obviously I was the right person for the job."

Oh, yeah, because he's such a STUD all the women should want him. Puh-lease. And where, oh where, does the British accent come from? Dude is CANADIAN.

I spent the last few minutes yelling at my tv that illicit drugs and sex had addled all of their brains.

But, nice solo gigs for the others will happen.

Now, on to Survivor!

Global Television announced last week that Lukas Rossi and Gilby Clarke of ROCK STAR SUPERNOVA will be on hand to rock the Canadian television industry — and fans nationwide — as featured musical guests at the 21st annual Gemini Awards, broadcast direct from The River Rock Casino Resort in Vancouver, B.C.

Toronto's own Lukas Rossi returns to Canada to perform for the first time since emerging victorious from the exhaustive search for a lead singer conducted by all-star bandmates Tommy Lee (MÖTLEY CRÜE), Gilby Clarke (ex-GUNS N' ROSES) and Jason Newsted (VOIVOD, ex-METALLICA). The highly publicized quest — documented on the hit series "Rock Star: Supernova" and broadcast this past summer in Canada on Global Television — fascinated audiences nationwide, dominated ratings, and cemented Canada's primetime love affair with Rossi, its homegrown hero.

The 21st annual Gemini Awards will kick off at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on Saturday, November 4 with a special half-hour presentation, "ET Canada Live: On the Gemini Red Carpet". Host Cheryl Hickey, along with the ET Canada team of reporters will welcome the stars, dish on nominee and presenter fashions, and provide exclusive backstage buzz from The ET Canada Gemini Lounge.

Then, at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT, the hour-long 2006 awards telecast follows — with presenters including Evangeline Lilly, Cheryl Hickey, Brent Butt, Nicholas Campbell, Wendy Crewson, Shawn Ashmore and Shaun Majumder on hand to welcome Lukas Rossi and Gilby Clarke to the stage.

As previously reported, Newsted has been sidelined by injuries to his left shoulder, right bicep and right rotator cuff. The former METALLICA member, who was injured trying to catch a 90-pound piece of equipment that had fallen from atop of his amp, is scheduled for immediate surgery and a rehab schedule that could last up to nine months.

ROCK STAR SUPERNOVA is currently searching for a suitable replacement to handle touring duties while Newsted recovers.

I thought that was clever how Jason Newstead staged that accident so that he can get out of that band....Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha

Review: ROCK STAR SUPERNOVA Fails To Impress Out Of The Block At Las Vegas Opening - Jan. 1, 2007 Neil Davidson of the Canadian Press reports:

The reality TV show is over for ROCK STAR SUPERNOVA. Now there's just the reality of turning a made-for-TV group into a real rock band.

And judging from the foursome's opening show New Year's Eve, there's plenty of work left to do.

Led by Toronto singer Lukas Rossi, SUPERNOVA delivered a wildly uneven show before some 2,000 at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

SUPERNOVA chugged through the show like a car on its last legs, occasionally speeding up only to lose power and fall back. It was one step forward and two back for most of the eighty-minute, 13-song performance that started at 11:20 p.m. after a performance by opening act LUNA HALO, a fivesome from Nashville.

The band's musical hiccups weren't helped by a sophomoric "Girls Gone Wild" mentality throughout the show, with drummer Tommy Lee digging into the MÖTLEY CRÜE vault for the "titty-cam" to encourage women in the audience to bare their breasts for the big screen.

No stranger to using a camcorder, Lee should know better.

And any style points the band received for using a four-woman string section for three songs were lost by the decision to have two dancers in lingerie, denim chaps and boots gyrate on several others. All that was missing was the pole, but it's early days on tour.

Rossi was welcomed by a vocal Canadian contingent, with Maple Leaf flags and at least one Leafs jersey with the name Rossi stitched on the back.

All of them must have cringed when guitarist Gilby Clarke introduced Rossi "from the great state of Toronto, Canada."

Have to give them props for actually sticking together long enough to actually do the New Year's gig. I think they mentioned it every episode.

how much longer are they going to stick together, and Jason Newsted didn't look like he was there as the article said he was injured

I'm curious about the other contestants really....Magni and Dilana....I hear they are working on some material. I could care less about the Canadian Dwarf.

ROCK STAR SUPERNOVA Singer Marries Ex-Porn Star KENDRA JADE - May 30, 2007 Canada.com reports that Lukas Rossi, lead singer of ROCK STAR SUPERNOVA, tied the knot with former porn star Kendra Jade.

The 30-year-old rocker married Jade, also 30, at a Las Vegas chapel on May 14. Both the bride and groom wore black.

"It was beautiful and no, Elvis didn't marry us," Rossi told ET Canada. "It was just me and her. I wanted it to be just intimate, you know."

In April, Rossi brought Jade home to Toronto to meet his once-estranged father. The couple will return to Canada later this summer for a Catholic wedding service with friends and family in attendance.

Jade said there are also plans for an Italian honeymoon.

As for kids, Rossi said: "We'll see what happens with that."

Watch video footage of Rossi hanging out in Los Angeles with Jade and porn star Mary Carey at this location.

Rossi shot to fame last September when he won the reality series "Rock Star: Supernova" and joined the band featuring veterans Tommy Lee, Gilby Clarke, Jason Newsted. He is scheduled to perform a solo concert on June 6 in Hollywood.

Jade, who was born in Massachusetts, made a string of X-rated videos with titles like "Tricked by an Angel" and "The Sopornos" after pictures of her in a tryst with Jerry Springer were published in 1998.
