Anyone buy a system just to play one game ?

I bought my Genesis for Sonic and Madden.

I bought my Playstation for Ridge Racer and Battle Arena Toshinden.

I bought my PS2 for Tekken Tag Tournament and Madden 2001.

I bought the Gamecube for Rogue Squadron 2 and the eventual Mario, Zelda, et al...

I bought my Xbox for Halo and Madden 2003.

The moral of the story is that it takes (at least) two great titles to get me to buy console. ;)

GC for Tales of Symphonia. After finally owning a GC, I must say GC is freakin awesome.

My friend just brought an Xbox, (the crystal one as a matter of fact) just for Halo 2.

I bought an N64 to play Mario64. That game blew me away when it came out :) I ended up playing a lot more than just Mario64, but that was the reason I picked it up.

I got a snes mainly for street fighter 2, those were the good old days. But than I got sucked into the rpg realm and played some very memorable games on my snes.

Full price console? never. But I did pick up a preowned Dreamcast (sub $50) to play Soul Calibur. Which then extended out to Power Stone, Power Stone 2, Virtua Tennis, Space Channel 5...

I bought the PS2 to play the new Madden initially. Then there was a long wait as the release games blew ass. Of course, I still got to play PS1 games, so it wasn't that bad.

I bought my Dreamcast for two games, Soul Caliber and NFL 2K.

It's not really the same, but I bought San Andreas, and I don't even have a PS2. I had to go to my brother's to play it. He eventually gave up and let me borrow the system.

bought my ps2 to orginaly play FFX, bought my cube to play metroid prime, and my x-box to playa lot of games

so yeah i guess so. i plan on getting a new pc in july to play hl2 and the new cs in beautiful full 1600x1200 :)

Bought a PS2 to play Shinobi.

-AND-

Built a little gaming rig ($1,200 worth) so I could play Tron 2.0 when it was released for the pc last year.

How bout an N64 for Goldeneye -- I rented the system for a weekend with 007 and ended up buying the system before it was even due back

Yeah pretty much. I bought a GC because i had to play the RE series. I ended up bitter because of the ordeal. I could have traded the damn thin in for a ps2 last month, but i justified keeping it around for RE4, only to have it announced for the ps2 a few weeks later.

I became interested in the PS2 because of Kingdom Hearts. Didn't spend a penny on it, though. I got it for a Christmas gift.

Kingdom Hearts and Tekken 4, anyways. The first one turned out to be amazing, the second quite a disappointment.
