I bought an N64 to play Mario64. That game blew me away when it came out I ended up playing a lot more than just Mario64, but that was the reason I picked it up.
I got a snes mainly for street fighter 2, those were the good old days. But than I got sucked into the rpg realm and played some very memorable games on my snes.
Full price console? never. But I did pick up a preowned Dreamcast (sub $50) to play Soul Calibur. Which then extended out to Power Stone, Power Stone 2, Virtua Tennis, Space Channel 5...
I bought the PS2 to play the new Madden initially. Then there was a long wait as the release games blew ass. Of course, I still got to play PS1 games, so it wasn't that bad.
I bought my Dreamcast for two games, Soul Caliber and NFL 2K.
It's not really the same, but I bought San Andreas, and I don't even have a PS2. I had to go to my brother's to play it. He eventually gave up and let me borrow the system.
Yeah pretty much. I bought a GC because i had to play the RE series. I ended up bitter because of the ordeal. I could have traded the damn thin in for a ps2 last month, but i justified keeping it around for RE4, only to have it announced for the ps2 a few weeks later.
