Well, like I said, if "de-syncing the HDMI" doesn't help, then it's just not 100% compatible with PS3. The only way to be 100% sure is try it on a PS2 and find out what the sound is like. In any case, sound is a common problem with PS2 games on the PS3. Besides for 007: Everything or Nothing, there were problems with Okami, Valkyrie Profile 2, and Final Fantasy XII. These last three were fixed with an update, I think, but maybe Resident Evil 4 wasn't fixed yet. Or maybe they can't fix it at all...?
