Apparently, Dragonball GT Final Bout is being re-released on 8/24 for $ 15
Is it the US version, or did they already come out with a US version.
CAme out with a US version years, years ago. 98?

Yep. Only 10,000 copies printed from what I understand.

Note to anyone considering this purchase:

This game is terrible. Too terrible for even the hardest-core DBZ fan. Don't bother. Take that $30 and buy something nice for your mother. She deserves your money, not Atari.

EDIT
That was ultimate battle 22 I believe
Nope. Ultimate Battle 22 saw it's first US release last year. It was originally for the Super Famicom in Japan.

UB 22 was PSX, not Super Famicom.

I could've sworn it was SF in Japan. I know it was PSX here. Go figure.

EDIT You were right Sartori. It came out in '95 on the PSX in Japan.

i second not buying this game. its only expensive because it's so rae, it has tterrible gameplay! it might be worth 5$ if your curious about it, but any more than that and youre getting ripped off.

Yeah, I thought UB 22 was pretty bad. Legends was an interesting idea, but it was poorly executed.

The only DBZ game worth its salt, imo, is Hyper Dimension.
I can't believe they're charging $30 for it....
I can believe it. They know all the mindless little fanboys and collectors will snatch it up in an instant. I'd probably charge more if I was Atari.

I didn't mean it that way, I just meant that they should be paying you $30 to pick it up because it's such a bad game.

Truer words were never spoken. To anyone reading this thread who might still be considering this purchase, please re-consider. Stay far, far away from this game.

I saw one when I was in 6th grade on the bus. Anyway, sucks for all those ebayers!! Especially the ones selling them all scratchd w/o cases or manuals!! It would be funny if some didn't know about this and kept theirs until that supposed rerelease comes out.

If I offended anyone, please feel free to flame me.....don't be too harsh.

Don't you have enough flaming for today? :D

this game is crap. stick with the budokais. man, they are really milking dbz/gt for all its worth. thing is, i can't believe they still release ps1 games

What would REALLY be funny is if some poor sap sees it at EB, thinks he's stumbled onto a great deal, and buys 10 copies of it, and tries to sell them on EBay. THAT would be FUNNY. Like some poor bastard who bought out the stock of Tickle Me Elmo, AFTER Christmas, when the damn things weren't worth crap.

If I didn't know about this that poor sap would of been me most likely!

I agree, this game sucks. I just can't wait to see resellers purchase multiple copies and expect them to sell for over $100 each on ebay.
Is it the US version, or did they already come out with a US version.
US version was released by BANDAI.

I'm not sure but says infogrames for this one.

From what I've been told, this is not a re-release of the BanDai game. It's a new game.

Perhaps defender can verify since he has all the connections.

how can they release a game with a new name
and couldn't Bandai relrelease it since it was published by them? Similar to how Capcom rereleased Marvel vs Capcom for PS2 and XBOX, but they couldn't add online play since it would make a new game since they didn't have the liscence.
All DBZ games suck ass. In japan they are like power ranger games to them..but here it has this odd cult following.
Actually, Legacy of Goku 2 is halfway decent, and the recently released Supersonic Warriors is actually quite good. But, other than that, yeah, they mostly suck. The Budokai games make for amusing rentals, at least.

You sure you heard that from a semi-legit source somewhere? From what their mods have mentioned in their forums about a year ago, Infogrames has long been after DBGT:FB trying to re-release it but that legal issues tied it up. I guess now is the perfect time with the show on air and Budokai 3 upcoming with a few GT characters.

man i remember when i first got my ps1 i looked in the (then funcoland now gamestop) paper and saw some random game for like 100 dollars (it was the first i ever heard of dragonball). well thats my story...
I guess people better start Ebaying their copies right now :p
I was thinking about posting a similar gag. ;-)

Anyway Knight I can't help but disagree with you more and the same with the other person. Honestly I can't imagine ANY game worse than UB22. I was originally thinking about buying that game and I have to say after playing THANK GOD! I didn't buy it. I mean what an absolute COASTER. Seriously this game is only good for that purpose. It looks like they grabbed drawings from a comic book and just PLASTERED it onto a background. The control is too slow or rather the movements are WAY delayed. Time an attack like 5 seconds ahead of time. ANYONE who thinks this game is great has got problems. After all that I have to say I've heard "Legends" is cool.
Honestly though for a DBZ game "Hyper Dimension" is pretty good(plays like SF) and I actually like "Budokai". Seriously I was quite surprised by the game. People should honestly try it out.

i imported this game on release from japan and I liked it well enough when it came out. It felt like a strategy fighting game as you had to plan everything out before you did it and the pace was pretty slow. Then again, a bunch of characters have infinite combos if you time it correctly and the game is full of bugs like Pan's infinite fireball thingy sticking out from her enabling you to basically walk into the enemy until they die.

Wow, that's the worst case of highway robbery I've ever seen for a trade-in. Hopefully people have more common sense than that.
Holy crap, that's expensive. I wonder if the in-store price is similarly ridiculous.
Its "only" $39.99 used in stores.

From what I understand Infogrames own the rights now to all the DBZ crap. Hence all the new DBZ games. I believe this is just a rerelease and I am sure it will have the infogrames name on it. If you owned the game wouldnt you rerelease it?

Infogrames will make a ton of money vs the ebays which they dont make a dime from. I am just glad I sold my last copy about a year ago for $400.
