...For backup purposes, of course?

So. I just realized that Thundercats is on sale at Best Buy. Volume one and maybe two of season one would be nice at 28 dollars a pop. What is their shipping like? I don't want to run over there, but if they kill for shipping I may as well.
Just smoke a joint beforehand. I gave a presentation in college high off my ass and got 105%.
Not to bring another thread (4-20) in here but I don't smoke anything (weed or cigarettes) at all. Never have and never will. Nor would I ever give a presentation under the influence of anything. Especially one that counts for so much of my college career and will be important in the future if I decide to get a masters degree instead of law school.

Silent Hill is a very good movie. How true it stays to the video game? Not sure since I never played it, but a lot of the songs in the movie were lifted right off the SH 3 soundtrack, which is just awesome.

And for those that watched it
Why wasn't Rose and Sharon able to return to the real world?
Damn Hostel is one fucked up movie, fuck me man. Now to see Silent Hill at 7.
It's on the top of my Netflix list right now. Is it a decent movie? I've been hearing mixed reviews since the DVD came out.

I HATE using the phone. I'm really weird about that. Online ordering keeps me alive at work sometimes :)
I hate using the phone too. Stay off it as much as possible.

And there's no papa john's around here... thank God for small miracles, cause otherwise, I'd be even more of a fatass.

Yeah it was actually not bad of a movie. Some parts might have been done better. It had lots of gore and nudity and drugs, really fucked up movie but solid rental for sure.

How come no one told me the orrery is out for download on xbox live!?!? I downloaded it earlier today, and I had no idea it was out! When did it come out? Anyways I guess it was worth the 150 MS points. I just wonder why I never heard anything about it all week or today or whenever it came out. I would of thought someone would have made a topic on it.

If you don't know I'm talking about Oblivion.

It's been known for two weeks.

I want to see Silent Hill, but the gf isn't interested -- doesn't like creepy horror flicks.

I suppose I should get to bed, as I have to get up at the crack of dawn to drive out and present my research to the conference...

Holy shit! The 53rd episode of dl.tv is 494 fucking MB whereas all previous episodes are between 150-190 MB. It seems like they have encoding issues, as they did nothing different from previous episodes. I'll still watch it. :D

I have a question. Are the Thundercats sets as poor as some people make them out to be?

I read some reviews on Amazon, complaining about no remastering and mono sound (and of the faulty disc on v1, but I'm sure that's been fixed... I'd hope), and it's sort of making me rethink buying them. But, at 28 dollars a pop, how can I not?

I just found out I live in the town Chuck Norris was born in. I knew John Malkovitch and Gene Rayburn were, but now Chuck Norris? What the heck. No one lives here!
Silent Hill was pretty good, very surprised.
It felt more like watching someone play a game than a movie, not counting the parts with the father. Intentional? Who knows.

I couldn't pass call of duty 2 before I had to turn it in today. I had 8 missions to go and only an hour before I had to go turn it in so I knew I wasn't going to finish. I could have passed it if it wasn't for the two exams I had this week.

I just watched South Park's "Cartoon Wars" for the first time. Absolutely brilliant.

The subtleties were terrific. I love that King of the Hill was a part of the second part, but left alone -- I love that commentary, and I'm releaved that they, too, respect King of the Hill.
It felt more like watching someone play a game than a movie, not counting the parts with the father. Intentional? Who knows.
Very true; it did seem alot like it was cut scenes and someone playing parts. I did get the same feeling of screaming at someone when they wasn't playing well during some scenes.

They knew they couldn't compare to you and didn't want to give Sexyville a bad name.

I half-expected to see something like

You have found _____. Will you take it?

At the bottom of the screen whenever she found something like the flashlight or a clue of where to look next. It definetly had the most video game feel of any video game movie that I can remember seeing.
http://probertson.livejournal.com/

Got the link off VGcats... Its a pretty good length animation done in the style of Maple Story/Metal Slug and is an EXTREME example of games like MS.

Its got Christopher Walken and the big guy from the Big Lebowski. F'n weird, but good!

EDIT: This dude is fucked up. I like'em! http://www.deviantart.com/view/23948726/
I've seen his work before. Here's a few:

Whirlwind is my favorite.

EDIT: Also his latest work is out now as well: Pirate Baby's Cabana Battle Street Fight 2006

God, I hate Best Buy.

I go in today to find that Thundercats season 1 is sold out (both volumes). I ask the clerk if I could get a rain check. He tells me that's impossible, they are in stock. I tell him that it's season 2 volume 1 that's in stock. Then he tells me that he can't because they weren't on sale this week. I grab an ad and show him the sale for season 1. Finally I get the rain check.

Ass. I ended up getting v2 PMed at CC and I'm going to order v1 at BB.com.

Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad sucksssssssssss, I have to read the damn thing and take notes on every page by tomorrow since we're going paintballing with about 30 friends and a teacher.

I loved that book. I also loved another nonfiction book which talks about the Congo during those times "King Leopold's Ghost". Its a pretty brutal book...

Silent Hill was neat. I dont see too many horror films, and I've never played through an entire SH game...so it was just eye candy.

...but thanks to that Starz preview, all I could do was stare at her shirt every scene

Well I'm probably not giving it too much of a chance, considering its an "obstacle" and I'm rushing through it.

Yeah...yeah, they're not good. Despite me pointing out at least twice on the application that I'm not married, there's still a hold on my profile until I turn in my and my spouse's tax return from last year.

well sometimes being able to stretch for long periods of time is good.

I just got hooked on that show. Has given me a great many things to talk about whenever conversation turns dull.

I agree.

Also, the tantric sex guru, in that episode, had me smiling from ear to ear.

just watched the creationism episode on youtube. I wanted to watch the one on the bible but its not there anymore. Im probably going to pick up the first 2 seasons on the next DDD sale.
Amazing how entertaining the original Power Rangers still are (well to me anyways, mebbe nostalgia?).
I like it too. More than the new ones. And I like the new ones pretty much. :]
