Use the coupon "saver" for free ship like cheapasses should do.

limit 2 per customer

IF you have a gmr mag, you should be able to get a free dc if you order 3 used dc games $4.99 or moe and input the coupon id#(this will be different for each coupon) and use the code "freedc". I havent got a mag to test this out, but a dc for $10 shipped isnt bad at all, but a dc bundle with 3 games plus a system for $15(plus tax and shipping, cant get free ship AND use the "freedc" coupon i dont think) may be even better, but apparently that deal is B&M only(?)

My controller is dirty, haha.

I haven't tried mine yet, I need some A/V cables first. Gotta check eb and gamestop tonight or tomorrow, then buy on ebay if they don't have any. I'd rather use the A/V than the RF they gave me.

If it doesn't work you can do B&M returns to EB right?

ill be outside smokeing, hopefully mines will come to, theres some complications with my order. when did u guys buy or order yours? the day it hit 10 bucks? same for me, i live in CA though

Some Gamestops are running a clearance on Dreamcast stuff. The one near me had VMU's and controllers for 2.99 and 30% on top of that for the sale. I forgot to use my 10% discount so that may or may not work. Call one up.

Ebgames.com sent me a broken Dreamcast those hippies. It powers up but wont read any of my games and it wont read the memory card which could be the controller.

Take it back via in-store return, if they don't have another DC they can at least refund you payment.

Follow up Not that anyone cares

I took it back in store and they didnt have any in stock. So they guy tells me that he wont take it back, and says I don't have a receipt so he wont except the return. So I show him me online thing-a-ma-jig and then he magically pulls out of no where I dreamcast that somewhere had left there when they tried to get credit for it. . So we switched consoles and I just tested the dreamcast adn it works.

Well, it was $9.99 as of the time of my order.

Man, THANKS SO MUCH!!!

I was really pissed that I didnt get in on the deal before....but now...

Thanks again. Peace.
omg both of the DC they send me were broken. They can't read any games! One of the controllers was defective too
Are you sure it wasn't the games?

Jet Set Radio wouldn't load the first level on mine, I cleaned the dics and it didn't work at all, so I cleaned it again and it works fine now.
I would like to get a second Dreamcast for backup purposes...
if you make another ebgames account you can get around "one console per customer" problem.

I finally got my $10 Dreamcast yesterday. It came with a piece of crap third party controller that was broken. My local EB is totally out of Dreamcast stuff so I ended up dropping $8 on a new controller at another store. But for a $10 system I guess I can't complain.

i havent tested the system out yet, but it came with the 56k modem (i was hoping BB...), and an RF cable. bastards. :) hell, im jsut gonna mod the crap out of it (paint/lights) and see what happens.

Mine wasn't working it will boot then it flashes off, sometimes it will get to the main menu sometimes it won't get past the splash screen.
I guess I am going to take it back to the ebgames by me, they didn't have an DC stuff, but I guess I could get my money back and buy it again (be out 5 right now though)

How maddening!!! I hope mine isn't broken! It hasn't arrived yet. You would think that they would at least test them to make sure they work before shipping out--bastards!!!
I got mine B&M this week at 9.99
I'm sorry to sound ignorant, but what is B&M??

this may sound ignorant but I just got a dreamcast and is the 56k modem a seperate piece, or is it built into the console? Because if it's a seperate piece then I got screwed.

Also, I do not know the difference between a memory card and a VMU. From what I can gather a VMU is required for many games and works like a memory card, but then what are the other memory cards? Do I need both or just a VMU?

Memory card lets you save games only, while the VMU is a memory card and a handheld system that works with some games. At least I think that's how it is anyways.

Don't you mean if the modem is built-in, you got screwed?

I dunno what you mean by "separate" piece. The modem is detachable if that's what you mean, and it's supposed to come with the Dreamcast. It even says so on the box what your DC comes with, and the modem is one of them.

If you can find them, I would suggest getting a 4x memory card. A VMU isn't really worth it since the batteries die fast and are expensive to replace.

I did mean that if it's a seperate piece then I got screwed because there's nothing in the box that looks like a modem. I'll have to go to EB and see what's up.

STOP! You HAVE the modem already.

The modem is connected to the dreamcast. Look at the back of it, where the power & video cords go. Do you see a square hole that looks like a phone jack for your wall? THAT's the modem. It's a part of the actual console.

no it was the system all right. All the games I've tested were in perfect condition without any scratches, and works on non-broken DCs.

I ordered a DC in February and it didn't work. Wouldn't read any discs and controller ports were fried.

I just got my $10 DC from this sale and it has a bunch of crumbs and crap on the inside of the CD tray, also, it sort of smells like it got too hot at some point (maybe it was just from riding around in hot mail trocks). I tried a music CD and it worked fine, but I don't have any games around to check.

yeah, silly me. I just realized that as soon as I got home and examined the thing. It seems to run alright, but is in pretty poor condition. There's dirt or crumbs in the CD tray and it makes a lot of loud noise while reading disks, but it still plays and for $15 I can't complain.

I got mine today (finally) and it was is very good condition. All I did was wipe down the system (it had a few marks) and clean out the controller (man the grooves were filled with gunk) Its works perfectly so far and it reads music CDs, officail games, and back-ups. I'm going to get the VCD player software and see if i can get that working. Man, this is a really good deal, I'm thinking of buying another one just to mess around with it (modigy the internal and external parts).and keep the controller. Thanks to whoever posted this.

Mine came with the RF adapter instead of the Stereo A\V cable. I sent an email to EBgames to complain. They are shipping me a Stereo A\V cable for free. If this happened to you, send them an email. The description clearly states it comes with a Stereo A/V cable.

Mine came today. I ordered two (one for modding, and one incase my original one dies) for $30. Both came with original controllers (suprise suprise). I also called to see if they would match there $10 price, and she said yes, so I got credited $10. So its still $10, if you just call and ask them to honor that price.
