I was in an Ebgames trading for Wipeout Pure earlier today when the manager mentioned that Crystal Chronicles dropped to $9.99. I wasn't interested, but figured I'd see a post or a $9.99 price at EB.com.

Therefore, treat this as unconfirmed for the time being.

*Edit*
As mentioned by others, this deal is confirmed! Final Fantasy Chronicles NEW $9.99 There is also a $5 Pricegrabber rebate as well.

Enjoy!

Now online!

Man... I hope this continues for a while. I need about 3 copies- 2 for trade-in toward a new game, and 1 for keeps.

GameCrazy wouldn't give me an ad so I could price match Fight Night Round 2, so now maybe I can trade in some copies of this game for Fight Night and/or WrestleMania 21.

The only problem is that I just had to borrow money for my WrestleMania 21 ticket, so I'm broke.

It is indeed a great deal. For $10 total (two copies after the two $5 rebates) I can get enough credit at FYE for a full price game.
Had to call around - none of the EBs by work still had them in stock, but found one on my route home. BTW it looks like it dropped on the website as well: FF:CC
Hope this helps people that don't have it nearby.
OOS

Got mine as well, so thanks a lot, OP!

I can't tell if mine is rewrapped by EB, however. What kind of shrinkwrap did y'all get on your copies? Is it the kind that has neat folds on the top, bottom, and sides of the case, or is it the other kind? I've got a gigantic seam running down the spine.

Even if it's used, though, it's still a great deal! Thanks again.
Now its back to $30, eb deals always go fast.

> Is it back to $30 in the B&M or are you talking about online?
Online

says - Limit: 1 per person Even though it's 29.99. Seems like a mistake but maybe it'll be a limit of 1 if they lower the price down to $10 again tomarrow.
So can anyone confirm that it's still $9.99 b&m?
I picked up a copy shortly after 1PM EST B&M ($10)

I doubt that the price has gone up since then but if you're worried that it might have & don't want it to be a wasted trip give your local EB a call before you stop by :)

Hopefully it's still $10 at the local EB. I'm gonna swing by on my way home from school today, since I pass two EBs on the way.

The EB Games in Georgesville Square, Columbus, OH (it's on the west side, near the 270 entrance on Georgesville Rd) had a TON of sealed copies, it looked like 10-15. As long as you're not going to be an arse and grab up the whole stack for eBay or something like that, that'd be the place to hit. (And if you are grabbing a ton of them for auction, I hope you get testicular or ovarian cancer. I hate when people don't leave copies for other CAGers out of their own greed.)

So now that I got this thanks to the OP, where can I get the GC-GBA cables for cheap?

Btw, I just picked this up a couple of minutes before making this post, so the deal is still going strong at the EB b&m stores for those worrying.

Grabbed mine at lunch today, thanks OP.

The clerk mentioned that the sale will probably end this weekend, but somebody else may want to confirm that at their EB.

You can find the cables at Gamestop for $2.99 used. I've got two cables, but need a third. I'm going tomorrow.

I can confirm this as well. Though my old friend, EB Games Douche Bag Employee, reminded me why I never shop there. I had to tell him like 5 times that I didn't want it used and that I didn't want some BS insurance with it.

Mine had some lame sticker holding it closed just on the edge. No shrinkwrap at all but there is no way a used copy could be in this good of condition.

Hmmm... it's tempting, but I played through this game once with 3 other people (I don't own the game, but I do own a SP). There isn't really any replay value after that point. If I pass by EB anytime soon I'll pick one up (although it is highly unlikely I will pass by).

There were FIVE display copies on the rack at one of my local EBs. :) The copy they initially picked out for me was a "rewrap", but was able to get a factory sealed one when I asked. Thanks OP!

I had to relish when I went in and asked for the game and the clerk immediately goes over to the preplayed rack. I then said "New" and he gave me the spiel about saving money on preplayed games and I told him I wouldn't be saving anything. He disagreed and then rang up the game, $9.99 New $19.99 preplayed. MORE LIKE TEN BUCKS MORE CLERK GUY, MORE LIKE TEN BUCKS MORE. I can't believe they even tried to sell me insurance and a strategy guide for a $10 game, shopping there is becoming more and more annoying.

I pricematched this today at circuit city and picked this up for 6.99 -- circuit city is still trying to sell this title at 39.99.... Oh... that was nice.

I also picked up Bloodrayne 2, Driv3r and Fight Night 2004 (all xbox) for 10 a piece at a blockbuster nearby... with the buy 2 get one free offer... but I'm not sure that was nearly as good a deal...

!

And I thought I got a good deal at my WalMart clearance rack, $15 for game and cable. (Making it three total cables I personally have.)

How did you manage to do that? Don't you need an ad? I have enough trouble getting price matches when I have actual valid, dated, ads with me. I didn't see one with FFCC on it at the EB I went to and the employees there were surprised at the price (unfortunately they only had the display copy). I would love to price match at CC and get a sealed one.

bullshit...i checked ebgames.com just now and they had one FFCC in stock for $9.99....i ordered it and every screen showed that it was $9.99 (after adding it into the cart)...up until after i completed the order and the card went through...the screen popped up with my total changed and the price shot up to $29.99

pissed - took pictures - waiting til 8 to call

Same thing happened to me yesterday (check the EBgames Morning thread). I didn't want the game bad enough, so I just cancelled it on the website. I'm pretty sure when you call you'll get it at that price.

just called...the guy was really cool and said it'd be fixed asap

great customer service

I actually bought one copy of the game at EB and took my receipt over to circuit city... Then I just showed it to them.. and they pricematched it!! They are usually so good about it at my location. They have told me before they only pricematch certain stores and not EB, but their policy on the back wall says "local store" which obviously my EB is...

I don't know, I bought some other stuff at the same time... I wondered if this helped... other more full price stuff... But I did pricematch Baten Kaitos from Target for 33.99 also.

I went by my local B&M store yesterday, and they had at least ten packaged copies. However, the clerk had to search through them to find a factory-sealed example. The rest were store-shrinkwrapped as the previous poster mentioned.
I may have to grab this at the price. Is this game okay with just 2 players?
That's pretty much the only way I've played it (as a rental....I finally bought a copy today). My one piece of advice would be to start "extra" characters at a variety of important professions (the people who make your weapons, armor, and artifacts). That way, you still get the benefit of them making gear for you (cheap), while also getting any bonuses from your own characters.

(Added bonus, having extra characters means you have extra people to store inventory on....unless you want to hold on to all that iron ore, just in case.)

Whatever character you decide on, be sure to look for weapons where the charged attack is a projectile (most of the Selkie weapons do this, IIRC....don't really know the other races); any time you can hit them without them hitting you, that's always a plus. ;)

It's amazing how playing this game really gets you to communicate with the other people you're playing with. You'll worry about getting your bonuses, where the map says to go, etc. I've played a number of multiplayer games, but never one quite like FF:CC. For $10, this game is a no-brainer!

Heh, I just found it on my own through the GCN link on the front page. I thought I was cool...

Oh well, finally used my $10 voucher. FF:CC, new + Official Guide = $10.61 after shipping and tax! Not bad at all. Much better than the Splinter Cell I missed a couple of weeks ago @ $10.

I can't wait...

(The only way this could have been better is if the vouchers were good with the other codes - HB20, CAG15, Edge, SAVER... Oh well, I'll take what I can get...;) )
